The city council of Atlanta, Georgia servers as a local legislative government branch. The council is made of the president, Ceasar Mitchell and fifteen members elected from district within the city. The city of Atlanta is broken up into twelve different districts and three post, each councilmen is responsible for representing the needs and wants for their district. The members of the council are elected by the citizens, and they work together to pass laws, make general policies, supervise city government, and appropriate funds for various needs. Usually, council meetings are open to the public, and public input is welcomed. The majority the councils work is done in committees. In the committees proposed legislation is debated and the members of other government branches and the public are given a chance to comment. Each council member serves on at least three of the council's standing committees, and select committees and panels. This week the author had the chance to attend a City of Atlanta council committee meeting and view how the meeting was conducted and went.

This is Faith Cox and welcome to my section leader essay. As you may know, I am now a junior in the Lewisburg band program and maintain the position of second chair in the French horn section. Last year I applied as a sophomore, and I can confidently say I have not only gathered more experience over the past year, but I have also become even more passionate about band. That passion has led me to once again apply for section leader. However, this time I am much more matured as a musician, and I am eager to see my section succeed as they have in the past and help them in any way they may need.

Being a honor council member there are three important traits to have. The first being confidentially, confidentially is very important for a member of the council. Any one who gets called into the honor conceal already feels bad that they're there and does not talk about it with their friends probably but if a member goes out and tells another about the hearing word might spread and the student might feel bad worse. If a honor council member does not have honor then their is problem. The whole point of the honor council is to make sure the school is a better place. If a member does not care if he gets in trouble he will not care if someone else get in trouble. An important quality for a honor council member is to have sensitivity. A honor council member that does not care about people feeling is bad if it someone first time ever doing something wrong if a member can't tell the difference from a first time offender and some one who gets in trouble often they could show no remorse and make people feel worse for what they did.

The comparison of a state with great plains and a state with mighty mountains seems unimaginable but very possible, at least on governmental standpoint. The great state of Illinois and one of the original state, North Carolina, have set up a state government very similar to the federal government and similar to each other. Their comparisons and contrasts are most noticeable in the legislative and executive branches.

The primary purpose of the ASC Coordinator is to provide academic support to curriculum students who are enrolled in courses at all levels at CCC. We want to help students reach their academic, personal, social, and economic potential by supporting their intellectual growth. The ASC Coordinator also provides administrative support to the coordinators, tutors and supplemental instructor leaders in the ASC.

To survive and succeed, leaders should have some necessary attributes. Meanwhile, some changes for leadership skills have to be made to confront the challenges.

I am profoundly grateful, touched by the great distinction and honor and great compliment accorded me by the authorities of Harvard this morning.
