Introduction:
According to Gail Grimes and Claude Whitmyer(2009); E-education is the application of Internet based approach for the deliverance of learning experiences through primary tools such as e-mails, e-meetings, e-expeditions and the methodologies of teaching and learning; therefore referred as E-learning. E-education takes place multiplicity in formal electronic lecture rooms, on corporate intranets for on-time coaching, audio and video group discussion and in various alternative technologies mediated learning areas. And the delivery of information occurs through internet, intranet/extranet, interactive TV, CD-ROM, satellite broadcast, audio- and videotape (Paulsen, 2002). E-education is also referred to as virtual education; web-based

Whereas, online learning has the advantage of learning from distant places and also could cater to learners from disadvantaged locations with easy transfer of information through internet and mails which provides a convenient means for the learners who cannot afford to classroom learning, to communicate and interact with the teachers. However, online learning cannot be a complete replacement to traditional learning. Users/learners would just lean on these easily available tools and the rewiring of brain for critical analysis might get effected in a long run and influence further generations genetically. If in case learners totally rely on the modern educational tools, then the classroom teaching may not exist. As a result there will be unemployment to the good qualified and potential teachers. Additionally, there might be the pressure to change the whole educational system, as the students/ learners get information
Reverend Dimmesdale is a beloved Puritan minister who's Hester's paramour and father of Pearl. One of rivaling enemies is Chillingworth, physician and Hester's husband, who suspects Dimmesdale is Pearl's father. He begins to notice Dimmesdale declining health and considers moving in with him to ‘nurse him back to health.’ However, as a means of revenge, he takes the opportunity to implement torture and pain upon him. One night, when Dimmesdale falls asleep, Chillingworth sneaks a glance at his chest and discovers a carving within his chest. He then dances with glee and enjoys the sight of subtle torture Dimmesdale has self-inflicted since the “doctor’s joy from Satan’s was the quality of wonder.” The discovery of Dimmesdale's chest may have
E-learning is defined as ‘learning facilitated and supported through the use of information and communications
Consumerism on the Rise The years of the 1950s and the 1960s witnessed significant changes that dramatically changed the ways American families and citizens’ lifestyles as well as changed the way businesses approached their customers and consumers. Out of the depth of a darkened economy the United States economy system was booming, more than what it had been since the stock market crash almost 30 years ago. Many areas grew as well as the economy. Around this time WWII had just ended and as a result, all the soldiers were returning from the battles that subsided overseas.
In “Reliance on Online Materials Hinders Learning Potential for Students” by David Smith the author argues online education has some benefits students are also able to suffer. Smith begins his article with stating students are lucky for being able to have the amount of access they have to receive education unlike past generations. He goes on by stating “this variety has begun to work its way into academia, as well; more and more, it seems, organized instruction is moving beyond the classroom and into cyberspace” (Smith, Par 3). The “traditional” educational experience is slowly being taken over by the technology world.
Despite these benefits, there are also some serious detriments to use of online teaching. There is possible dehumanisation from continued use of online teaching meaning that the repetitive nature of connecting to the Internet to do work can lead to people being seen more as automatons than people. The lack of face-to-face contact that occurs with the increase in users of online teaching can be seen as leading to a deficiency of in-group experiences (Demirdjian 2002). Other drawbacks of online teaching relate directly to the technological aspects and lack of contact. Teachers cannot rely on classroom theatrics to get ideas across to students, sometimes the curriculum needed cannot be found or used online and computer crashes can prevent students from accessing
The aim of this project is to take the handheld Marine GPS unit and produce a new design that is more efficient and easier to use. The idea is to design a product that not only is a GPS unit, but can also be used to alter the helm settings such as course to steer and turning auto pilot on or off. This will allow you to change the heading of the boat without being stood at the helm. The new product will increase safety of passengers and will benefit both pleasure and competitive boatmen. The project will have an emphasis on the management of the design of the product
With high speed internet available to potential students of all economic levels, schools are opting to implement online classes into their traditional teaching curriculum. As a result, our society is divided in two different ways of thinking on the education. Some believe the modern method is better than the traditional method of teaching. Personally, I believe both methods should balance one another instead of attempting to substitute one another; this way their purpose of educating will be far more successful.
E-Learning is the imparting of knowledge via electronic means. Transfer of skills and expertise has been enabled by computers and networks.
Education has undergone significant changes because of the development of information and communication technology over the 21st century (Lin & Jou, 2012:2). As a convenient and inexpensive way to gain knowledge while pursuing higher education, online learning, a form of training or teaching that takes place over the Internet, has been considered as an alternative to traditional classroom learning (Zhang et al, 2004). This essay will argue that even though online learning has benefit such as flexibility which could outweigh traditional learning, traditional classroom learning might still not be entirely replaced. This essay will discuss positive and negative aspects of online and traditional learning in terms of four criteria:
E- Learning is a meaningful term that pertains to teaching, learning and the creating educational environment. Some examples of using technologies in e-learning classrooms are below:
Learning is more than just receiving information. Traditionally learning was to be in campus, where students would interact with one a another, there were no other ways for learners to get educated beside going to the classroom and listening to the instructor. Nowadays the Internet has brought different ways for people to receive information, such as getting education and degrees online. A few years ago online education was never thinkable, and yet it has become to reality and it is widely expanding with popularity. Online education is a type of educational instruction that delivers learning to individuals to their own homes, and it is getting very popular among nontraditional student and others. Individuals prefer online education
E-Learning…Online learning…web-based training …these are all essentially the same thing: learning delivered via some type of electronic device. You may have completed an e-learning course yourself. It may have been designed to introduce a concept or facts; or to teach a new skill, process, or procedure. It may have been text based with some type of assessment, or it could have been a simulation or a game. It could have been delivered asynchronously (self-paced) or synchronously (in real time with an instructor or facilitator). In any case, it included some form of media (text, graphics, video, narration) and had some common design features.
The ‘E’ in E-Learning stands for electronic. In other words, a computer or computer network is used, along with information technology, to achieve forms of learning not previously possible. The technology of E-Learning is new and attractive approach for both student and instructor in university and it has taken the place of traditional face to face education environment, there is great growth of web-based learning media. E-Learning is more attractive for students who are on job and want to continue their education. The flexible nature of E-Learning environment increase learner satisfaction.[1]
The education system one of the fundamentally indispensable parts of any society also by using the information and communication technology undoubtedly led to appearance and development the E-learning, which helped students to develop their skills and expand educational opportunities for the advancement of their countries in the 21st century (Garrison and Anderson, 2003). In the present years teaching and education by using E-learning system have become a widespread phenomenon (Najmul and Islam, 2015). “E-learning can be understood as an educational process, using information and communication technologies to create training, to distribute learning content, communication between students and teachers and for a management of studies” (Wagner, 2005). Due the tremendous growth in Internet technology, approach E-learning has become increasingly popular for learning in higher education institutions (Oye et al., 2012). E-learning can be in several different patterns through education by using computers and interactive electronic boards, as well as take benefits of the Communications and Information technology through the Internet for distance learning at various universities around the world any sense to exploit all available technologies for learning. The fundamental purpose of conducting this research is to emphasize the impact of e-learning on
In its expanded form, e-Learning simply means electronic learning. There are many interpretations and extrapolations of these simple two words combined. A lengthy, but comprehensive definition of e- Learning has been developed and used by the intergovernmental organization know as the Commonwealth of Learning (COL). This agency posts the following definition:
