In modern society, Canada has a serious problem that means should parents bring their noisy children to restaurant, yet it is also an issue in many other countries around the world. Some people say that parents should not bring their noisy children to restaurants, in others insisted parents can bring their children to restaurants. I believe that parents should bring their children, even though some people are annoyed by children who are noisy in restaurants. There are several reasons for this. First of all, peoples are restaurants customers, have no right to prevent bringing other’s children. For example, the parents of noisy children already paid for restaurants, so they stay in restaurants and they can enjoy at restaurants with their children.
My plan to eliminate such problems include the forcing shutdown of restaurant at first violations, to not allow the reopen. We as society should not have to be worrying about dining out or about seeing a violation sign stating this restaurant has had such violations.
Do restaurants really serve everyone? Recently, a restaurant that has been getting a lot of heat is Joe Jones's very own Munchy’s. Joe made the decision to ban teens from eating at his restaurant from noon to three in the afternoon. His reasoning behind this verdict, is because they are loud and drive away the adults. Joe should be able to ban whoever he pleases from Munchy’s because it’s not only privately owned business, but Munchy’s is losing money and adults are the highest paying customers.
Mealtimes are important for our children and they are usually excited to eat. There is just something about coming to the table sitting with our friends, being able to pass the food, and choose how much food they want to take that makes mealtime exciting. When meals are served family style and the children and adults sit together to eat, children improve their social skills, build self-esteem and confidence, and learn table manners. Children improve their language skills by having conversations with
Although the young children cannot read, at least the carer is warned. This will allow them to take special care with their hot food and drinks when they have children with them. Keeping hot drinks and food out of the reach of young children will also minimise the risk of them getting burnt, as said by North Bristol NHS trust. They also recommend that hot drinks should not be held at the same time as holding another child. Another adjustment they could make could be to put hot drinks into a special cup with a lid, that when tipped over does not spill and hot food could be left to cool for a few minutes before being served, meaning that it is not piping hot. As long as the parents and guardians are aware of the dangers associated with hot food and drinks, then this hazard shouldn’t hold a very high likelihood. My reasoning for suggesting this is that it will reduce the likelihood of a child or an individual getting burnt if the drink falls as the lid will stop the drink from spilling. The existing controls that are in place in the food court in the mall are signs warning of hot surfaces and although most adults should know that food will be served hot, I still believe signs for hot food should be shown. I would recommend this because it will remind the adults that the food may burn and this will in turn make them think more before giving the child the hot food.
Discovering the reason behind their difference in sales, they had to ban teens from noon to 3pm to see if this improves their income by giving adults time to eat in peace. In the newspaper editorial it expresses that “after identifying a decrease in profits during the school months, Mr. Jones realized that many of his faithful, adult, wealthier, customers—mostly business people from the offices that surround his restaurant downtown—were staying away from Munchy’s due to the havoc high school students cause every day at lunchtime.” However, some may argue that the roles are reversed when it comes to who makes more noise at this restaurant. In the student blog “Munchy’s Bans Students!” it says “The last time I was at Munchy’s, ALL the noise came from loud, annoying business people who were either on their cells or arguing with each other.” Although, this may be this claim can be seen as biased seeing that it comes from the viewpoint of only a teenager. Also, now that Munchy’s has made a policy change in a remarkable way to improve their revenue it is not like teenagers will be banned the entire day. Banning teens for a certain amount of time gives adults a chance to eat lunch without any noisy disruptions.
In David Zinczenko’s article, “Don’t Blame the Eater,” Zinczenko argues that, there aren’t any cheap, healthy and convenient alternatives to fast food. This is a controversial issue that some argue that fast food restaurants are the reason why they have caused diabetes and obesity for children. There is a possibility that this argument can cause lawsuits to be brought upon these companies due to this situation. From my standpoint, the youth should have self discipline to a limit where they can still enjoy fast food but to a certain extent. In my own experience, my parents would take me out to eat fast food for a reward because of something that I did at school. Most of the time, my mom would always cook, so the meals that I mostly ate everyday
The passage of Healthy, Hunger, Free, Kids Act of 2010, mandated all educational entities who are participating in the National School Lunch Program and/or the School Breakfast Program to meet expanded local school wellness policy requirements provided in section 204 in HHFKA of 2010 (Federal Register, 2014). Provisions included in HHFKA of 2010 established new content for school wellness policies, ensuring stakeholder participation in development of new policies, requiring assessment, compliance, and reporting on the progress of local school wellness policies. Additionally, new rules would require Local Educational Agencies (LEA) to implement and provide new polices for marketing
Wouldn’t you rather pay less for meals at restaurants you already go to and enjoy, while eating healthier? The standard way of thinking about kids’ meals is, well, childish, but they could be better for your wallet, cravings, and health. But not all restaurants and eateries allow adult patrons to order off this menu, sometimes even “looking around for your imaginary child,” writes a Yahoo! food editor (Paley). Restaurants shouldn’t impose age limits on kids’ meals.
When it is snack or lunchtime, the children is asked to visit the toilet as well as to wash their hands, before coming to the table for their meals, in an orderly fashion.

Even though fast food is inexpensive and quick, parents could still find other food options that are also quick and inexpensive. "Most of all, I am concerned about its impact on the nation's children. Fast food is heavily marketed to children and prepared by people who are barely older than children." (Schlosser, 9) More and more children are consuming fast food which is not good for them and it can even start to cause many problems. Many people in U.S consume McDonald's very frequently. "Every month more than 90 percent of the children in the United States eat at McDonald's." (Schlosser, 262) It is not healthy that this many children in the U.S. are eating at McDonalds because it is not good for them and may even lead to more people becoming
It is often said that the less teengers in the reastaurant, the better the sales of the business; however, teens are also customers, they bring their friends with them and without teens in the restaurant, overtime Mr. Jones will shut down his business. Mr. Jones is making wrong assumptions about the teenagers in his restaurant. According to the student blog, “ All the noises came from annoying business people. This shows that teenagers are not the only ones being loud. The Muchy’s promise of a “quiet lunch” is not possible because the restaurant is still going to be loud. Teenagers are the ones who attract the
According to Restaurants Canada more than one million Canadians are working in the vibrant restaurant and foodservice industry, the first job for 22% of all Canadians is in the food service industry (Restaurants Canada, n.d). Canada’s restaurants employ over 500,000 under the age 25 (Health and Safety Report, 2016). Although it is generally considered safe to work in a fast food industry setting it is important to note that there are several hazardous equipment, chemicals and risks that should be taken into consideration and paid attention to by both employers and employees. The laws that govern health and safety in the workplace provide a minimum level of protection that must be maintained. Employers are encouraged to exceed these minimum
After coming home from work, parents tend to like to relax on the couch and enjoy a fast meal instead of taking the time to cook essentially promoting that it is ok for their kids to do so as well. It's time parents learn their role in helping and fighting the problem of obesity. During this economic drought parents “need to protect their children from unhealthy foods and from sloth. It’s not easy, especially when both parents are working, or there is only one parent in the home” (p13). For example, it’s hard for my aunt, a single mother of six, to come home from a full days work, clean the house, take care of the children and prepare a dinner. Instead, McDonalds is a cheap and convenient alternative to keep the children satisfied and relieve some of the work load. The accessibility of fast food is one of the main causes parents allow their children to consume such foods.
People all around the world are busy. Busy with work, school and other extra activities. No one ever has time to cook, so families are always going out to eat at a restaurant. This essay will include comparison between eating at home and eating at a restaurant in terms of the price, cleanliness, taste and service.
