Active Duty Soldier Research Paper

The United States military is downsizing, becoming a more fit and agile military. Due to this action the Army has come up with a program to place Soldiers in a field that they can perform at their maximum capacity physically and mentally. This program is called Soldier 2020, it is in its final testing stages even though parts of this program have already been integrated into TRADOC.

An ex-military veteran, Sgt. Bradie Frink, lost his job for 26 months due to the fact that the VA thought he was trying to blow the whistle on them. Bradie, who served our country, was only trying to change his beneficiary policy so that both of his children would benefit from it. The VA has been under scrutiny for not providing benefits guaranteed to many of our ex-military personnel. These whistleblowers were then quickly unemployed due to the attention they brought on the VA.

The topic I chose was the Wounded Warriors Project. I chose this project because back in the fall, I was at a charity softball tournament for the Wounded Warriors Project. At this event, anyone who hit a ball over the fence raised $25 towards the charity. I myself hit a ball over the fence and raised money for the event which made me wonder, what exactly is the Wounded Warriors Project? It is important to the veterans of war and I would like to learn more about it.

The veteran I selected to research for this paper is Carl D. Beck. He was born in Avondale, Missouri on November 21, 1925. Mr. Beck served in the US army during WWII and the Korean war, with the 501st parachute infantry regiment. It is unclear what his rank was at the time of his service, but by the end of his military career, Mr. Beck’s rank was master Sergeant.

The Wounded Warriors is a successful charity because they provide injured military members the medical support they need.

Have you ever had a Family member that has been impacted or hurt in war? I am lucky enough to not have one but there are many people who do. If you have a family member that is mentally hurt or physically hurt wouldn't you want to get them help? The wounded warrior project helps out warriors who have been injured in war and helps them recover from everything that has happened to them. I would want to join this organization more than any other one. I want to help out people who have risked their lives and helped our country grow.

If anyone has ever looked into the eyes of a wounded service member one will tell you. You will see more than just wounds on flesh. I know I did. Being a young Navy corpsman I treated and cared for many wounded sailors and marines coming back from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune. The wounds I saw were mostly from IED blasts that would pepper the individual with shrapnel with the occasional broken bones. These types of wounds range from minor castings and splints to major surgeries. Caring and treating the physical wounds was not a problem. I was good at it. It was the wounds that you could not see that made caring for these young individuals much more humbling. I have a distinct memory, where I am treating a

Service members get paid on average 33,624 dollars per year while athletes get paid while an average nba player gets 3.2 million dollars per year. So athletes get paid to play a game. Entertainment is good but movie actors and plenty of different entertainers do just fine without needing as much money as the military. Although their average pay is higher at 52000 dollars per year there are many lower paid actors and higher paid military members. Entertainers all alike bring joy to those watching so why should athletes get paid more than actors.

According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook members of the U.S military, service maintains the U.S. national defense. The military is made up of enlisted and officer careers. They work with hi-tech machinery to help in the field. People in the military wear uniforms that show their ranks by badges. This job is so important because without the military people would be in danger and lives might not be saved.

First of all in 2003 I was born. Most of my family was there, my grandparents, my uncles and aunties, and cousins, but not my dad. The reason my dad wasn’t there for my birth is because he was in the army at the time. He couldn’t be there for most of my birthdays or holidays. I always used to ask my mom where’s my dad, but she always told me he’s serving our country.

Your key challenge in a leadership position is taking care of the Soldiers entrusted to your care. Soldiers are our nation’s most important military asset. The Leader who sends the message that Soldiers don’t really matter will generally not be as successful in the long-run as the Leader who is genuinely serious about taking care of his/her Soldiers.

Sports players should be paid more than soldiers.Many random people can join the military but not everyone can be a professional sports player.Many soldiers can survive their injuries but sometimes sports players are hurt really worse than soldiers.Sometimes a soldier makes more and gets free stuff than a sports player in many different ways.
