To describe myself, I’m a creative artist and can work independently. I’m elaborate, which makes it uncommon for me to overlook details. By the help of my incredible teachers, I’ve learned math and science concepts efficiently and thoroughly. I’m not a know-it-all like Hermione from Harry Potter, and I have a willingness to listen and learn that will make me an asset to the program. I’m looking forward to gaining knowledge, to meeting brilliant people, and to honing my problem-solving skills through my experience in the WAS
One thing that is unique about me that might not be apparent from my application is my undying will to tenaciously improve myself. In high school, I started playing football and I was literally the weakest and one of the worst players on my team. Instead of not believing in myself and quitting football, I tenaciously, toiled every day for three years until I improved my strengths and weaknesses as a player. Eventually those around me took notice of my massive improvement and I have since applied this unique aspect of myself into everything that I pursue. With the intent of becoming a Professional Engineer, I would like to transfer to Texas A&M University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. The purpose of my essay is to explain to you exactly why I want to transfer to Texas A&M and how joining Texas A&M would profit me.
Dean’s List is a scholarly achievement at Marymount California University. Since I maintain a high overall grade point average, I have been named to the Dean’s List of the highest distinction for academic achievement each semester at Marymount California University. In order to earn and keep this recognition, I had to obtain a 3.9 grade point average or better and complete 12 or more college-level units in each semester. The achievement shows that I have the ability and the commitment necessary for success in college. Moreover, being named to the Dean’s List, I have an additional motivation to strive for excellence and gain success as I advance in meeting my educational

Thank you for your considering my application to the Applied Behavior analysis program. For all of my life I have known that I was going to help people. It could be said that it is in my DNA. I just never suspected what the capacity would be. On December 15thI graduated from Albright college, I began working at Melmark on December 16th. My first thought, on that first day was “Oh no, I can’t do this, I need to quit” That was over two years ago, and I have gone to work every day, with a smile on my face. While working at my first position, out of college, I discovered my passion. My passion, I find, is working with children and adults with autism and with people who suffer from addiction. Watching the smiles on their faces, the determination when they work to complete a goal, and just the progress makes every hardship worth it, I love it. Each day, in my position as an ABA, I run behavior support plans, IEPs, teaching plans and other protocols, and each day I truly wish that I could have contributed to these plans, protocols, and IEPs. I ponder the recommendations that I could come up with, I wonder that if I had been able to participate in these conversations to create these plans could I have brought something else to the table, a different viewpoint. Affecting the way that the plans are written and in turn ran, I feel that I could make a big difference in the lives of the children and their families also. Every two weeks each child’s team meets to discuss his or her
Wake Forest has an exceptional reputation when it comes to academic rigor, and such rigor and challenge will help me become a better student and person. For instance, I look for continued challenges to sharpen my mind and help me craft a better mindset in the world. Thus, it is my deep belief that adversity will build a stronger mindset, and subsequently help me be a more proactive citizen and individual. As well, the traditions of Wake Forest and the beautiful campus were an enticing addition. However, the academics is the main focus for me and has been the main contributor to my decision to apply to Wake
My grades are not accurate predictors of my potential success in the Honors College. During my freshman year, I had no cares academically. I was just in school to waste time, and I never thought about the future. That next summer, I got a job just so I could have something to do. My boss became one of the biggest influences in my life. I instantly decided I wanted to be a manager like him. I set my eyes on my goal and have been working studiously to make the most out of my life. My test scores are somewhat accurate predictors of my success - my ACT scores were satisfactory, but I am not a very fast tester. All three times I have taken it so far, I have not had enough time to finish my reading portions or to revise my essays. My class ranking,

Academic success could never be fully measured by degrees alone, but it can include a person’s well-being as well as their mind and certain characteristics about a person that make them unique. This success can be achieved in different ways by these different people with different strengths, but there is the same ultimate goal in sight of each and every student enrolled in college at some point. However, this goal of being successful in not only school but in life, can sometimes turn out to be the opposite of how we plan. Of course, a student can achieve success by earning degrees and still fail in life. Academic success can also be a huge constituent to a students vocational calling in college as young students make a transition into adulthood.
