The definition of Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or a organization. A leader is someone who is willing to do take responsibility for someone else,someone who will lead them to success or a better path. The qualities of a leader is having integrity,compassion,and the ability of making wise decision. Many people say military generals are the most important leaders of them all besides the President of the United States which in 1860 was Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was a big leader of the Civil War in 1861. The general of the Union in 1864 was Ulysses S.Grant. Grant to many people wasn’t as good a president as he was a general. While Grant was president,he worked hard to make sure the fifteenth amendment was made so African Americans could vote.A reason why people believe Grant wasn’t a good president was because he didn’t understand politics and people think that is why his presidency was so corrupted.Many people followed him because of his loyalty and his honesty but many people didn’t like how he didn’t give much to the main picture but to a lighter picture. …show more content…

Robert used very unique and intelligent plans to win over his enemies on the North since the North had advantages in the war.To many Robert E.Lee is described as the great hero of the Southern cause but some also differ from that because of the Battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg happened in 1863,during this time Robert ordered a assault to the middle of the Northern line,it was a unfortunate attack.The South never recovered from the things they lost that day.
