Abortions
Abortions should be illegal if you are going to go out and have unprotected sex, then you should be willing to take responsibility for your actions. The unborn child that is conceived has done no wrong and shouldn't have to suffer because of the mothers actions. Women shouldn't have a "right" to kill their preborn child. The word "choice" shouldn't be used in regard to abortions, since killing a preborn child offers the child no choice at all.
If you think about it nearly 30 million preborn children have been slaughter in their mother's wombs. Millions of women have been traumatized both mentally and physically by their decision to exercise their so called "right" to an abortion. The number of

These centers offer everything to carry the baby to term: cloths, furniture, parenting classes, and a very important thing, love. If these centers are out there then why would anyone want to abort a preborn child.
When an abortion is performed at a non hospital the average cost was $296 as of 1993(Jacobs, Landes, & Siegel, 1996) .
The farther along you get in the pregnancy the more expensive the abortion cost. When an abortion is performed in a hospital the average cost was $1,757 as of 1993(Jacobs, Landes, & Siegel, 1996). Paying for the abortion could get expensive and be a burden. Some private insurers will cover abortion expenses. Most middle class women can usually afford an abortion, but is often a burden for poorer women. For women whose lives were endangered by rape or incest 99 percent of the abortions are government funded.
Abortions should be performed in the first trimester by vacuum aspiration (suction). The physician widens the cervix and inserts a tube into the uterus. The tube is connected to a suction machine that empties the contents of the uterus, this procedure takes about five minutes. In the second trimester, a similar procedure called dilation and evacuation (D&E) is the most common method. The reason a different procedure is because the fetus is larger and the cervix must dilate. The process of dilation can take several hours or even overnight. Once the cervix is dilated, a suction machine is used to
According to “Facts on Late-Term Abortion” by Meg Brannagan, more than 1 million abortions are performed in the United States per year. Roughly 12,000 abortions are third-term abortions, meaning they occur after 21 weeks of gestation. The most common procedure for third term abortions is called a dilation and evacuation surgery. During this procedure, an abortion specialist terminates the fetus with a shot through the mother's stomach and into the baby’s brain. Later, after three days have passed, physicians remove the fetus in pieces. According to these facts, the termination of a baby after 20 weeks is not only inhumane and cruel, but puts the mother at severe risk of infection, and therefore, should not be allowed in the United States of America.
It is calculated that about 120,000 children are born to poor parents every year (Swift 763). The price of nursing for one year is two shillings. That comes out to about 240,000 shillings every year that will be given to the breeders. Since the women will be getting money for their infants, getting an abortion will be like burning money.
It can cost a women a ridiculous amount of money just to have an early on abortion. The longer you wait to have an abortion the more the price goes up("ABORTION AFTER THE FIRST TRIMESTER.") . It can cost a women up to 3,000 dollars to have an abortion(Fisher). Which is a lot
Abortions are not dangerous if they are performed by professionals, in fact it’s one of the safest medical procedures with a .01 death rate. .01 is pretty low when you look at the death rate while giving birth, it is 13 times higher. When the accessibility of abortions is limited many deaths occur from back alley abortions. An estimated 68,000 deaths are due to abortions not being available.
The most common in-clinic procedure is called aspiration. Many people choose this method of abortion because it is safe and effective. It costs up to $1,500. Some risks to an in-clinic abortion are: infections, allergic reactions, blood clots in uterus, failure to end pregnancy, injury to organs, and heavy bleeding. Therefore these side effects may cause women to choose the abortion pill. An abortion pill begins as soon as a women takes a pill. There are two medicines used in the pill to end the pregnancy; mifepristone and misoprostol. This method works 97 out of 100 times. After taking the pill a women would have a follow up appointment to see if the abortion was successful. If it was unsuccessful, an in-clinic abortion would be needed. It costs about $800 dollars. Minnesota requires that under the age of 18 both parents must be told of the abortion decision 48 hours prior to the procedure. A judge can excuse this requirement as well (Planned Parenthood | Official Site.).
Here are some of the many stories of women in america that had an abortion in an article called 26 Women share their abortion story it tells a story of women whose name is Red and is 30 years old she tells the story of her abusive relationship and how she was living in her car at the time she got pregnant. Years later she had another partner whose name was Steve she got pregnant again but this time she decided to actually go through the abortion and she told steve that she had a miscarriage. She states “ People might be more understanding if I’d had an abortion when I was living in a car in an abusive relationship. This time, I was on birth control, with a full-time job, a boyfriend. People might think I should’ve kept it, but I couldn’t.”
Every year, as many as a million lives are aborted; lives that could potentially have been your neighbor, your friend, or even your son or daughter. Abortion is the surgical process of killing a baby by various means; and has been in effect since the Supreme Court ruling on Roe V. Wade in 1973 which legalized it nationwide. It was, at first, endorsed as being a woman’s right, but has more recently been viewed by most as the murder of an innocent child. Besides this shift in views, abortion has caused diverse effects on our culture and nation, as well as the death of upwards of 56 million children according to Life News. Our society has been deeply impacted by the effects of abortion and the loss of millions of innocent lives, and Christian
Taxpayers can actually save more money if non-prescription birth control is provided. According to Guttmacher Institute, taxpayers pay $21 billion annually on unplanned pregnancies. “A study conducted by Guttmacher revealed that in 2010, federal tax dollars paid for 331 abortions, while state funding contributed to 181,000 abortion procedures” (Novielli).
Thousands of women in the world have abortions. “ Since the 1970’s, abortion has been a very controversial issue throughout the United States. Anti-Abortion and pro choice organizations often express their differences of opinion in lawful demonstrations” (Andryszewski 10).Think of it this way, all of the fetuses are in life or death situations. Their mother is choosing whether or not she wants to keep them or abort them. The children that are getting aborted will never get the chance to live. The children that are aborted will never get a choice. They will never get to go through all of the good, and even the bad, times of life. Life is a blessing, and everyone should get the chance to live their life. Women who just don’t want a child, or even women who have been raped, are wanting abortions all throughout America. Whatever the reason for the abortion, the pregnant woman should not have the choice of taking a life that they created. There are reasons and other options why women should not get abortions. Abortions should be illegal because these women are murdering a child that is unborn, it could be harmful to women, and if not always, then almost always, women have the choice of adoption.
In the United states a child is aborted every 30 seconds. Just in 2017 there have been 997,437 and is going up every 30 seconds (Kell). This is a crazy amount for only one year, people shouldn’t be getting pregnant if they don’t want a baby or aren’t going to give it up for adoption. Getting an abortion is taking an innocent life, some women require psychological help after getting an abortion, we should have adoption over abortion, and if people consider infanticide illegal then why isn’t abortion illegal. These women are hurting themselves along with the growing fetus inside of them. There have also been instances when doctors have tried to provide an abortion and the child ends up living. People shouldn’t be allowed to have abortions, it should be illegal.
There are a couple types of abortions used, one form is medically. In this process you’re given various medications that are intended to end your pregnancy. Women that choose a medical abortion are willing to undergo a surgical abortion if the first one fails. The medical procedure has a success rate that ranges from 75-95%, with about 2-4% of failed abortions that require a surgical procedure. The process involves bleeding, often heavy just like a period, that must be differentiated from hemorrhage. No matter how much tissue that has passed, a woman must see a doctor to make sure the process is complete. There's a rare and serious
To start off, The majority of women that have an abortion are usually people who may not be able to afford it. A lower class individual, on average, makes less than 14 thousand a year. It costs about 500 to pay for abortion, Which is a lot for a person who isn't making a lot to pay for an abortion. In the book, Freakonomics a rogue economist explores the hidden side of everything it states The majority of women that have an abortion are usually people who may not be able to afford it.
Less than three percent of white unmarried women and less than two percent of black unmarried women that give birth choose to give up their babies. Adoption is also not a replacement for abortion for many reasons. Adoption is expensive, adoption through a non-profit agency will generally cost between $10,000 and $25,000. Adoptions of newborns generally cost between $20,000 and $30,000. Adoption is just expensive for the adopters, but to the women that place a child for abortion also. Placing a child for adoption is usually free, but loss of wages, loss of time in school or college, and health risks from pregnancy are
Abortion has become very common in the past couple of years. In fact, research has shown that one out of three women in the United States have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old (Abortion ) According to Planned Parenthood, there are currently two kinds of abortions being performed in the United States. One kind of abortion is the in clinic abortion, which is a medical procedure that will end pregnancy in a safe and effective way, generally costing about three-hundred to $950 dollars during the first trimester (Abortion ). The second kind of abortion available in the United States is the abortion pill. The abortion pill will require the woman to take medicines to end an early pregnancy, which it is also said to be safe and effective. The cost of the pill will range from three-hundred to eight hundred dollars. The abortion pill may be used up to 63 day (9 weeks) after the women’s last period. (Abortion ). If the woman’s pregnancy is more than nine weeks an in clinic abortion will be performed, in order to end the pregnancy.
There are several reasons why someone is unable to take care of a child, whether they are in poverty, lack appropriate housing or even if they lack adequate health. Women in situations where they find themselves in need of help have a hard time finding access to abortion due to the shrinking access. New laws and regulations are being put in place which claim to make abortion clinics safer, but all it has done is closed several clinics that do not meet the standards. Nancy Northup from the Washington post states that “...not a single abortion clinic remains open in the state west or south of San Antonio”(Northup). She also says “Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana and Wisconsin have passed similar underhanded laws designed to shutter most, if not all, clinics by requiring any physician who provides an abortion to obtain admitting privileges at a
