The Aboriginal People, History and Culture
The word "aboriginal" means "the first" or "earliest known". The word was first used in Italy and Greece to describe the people who lived there, natives or the old inhabitants.
Before the Europeans
Prior to the arrival of the Europeans, Northern Sydney was occupied by different Aboriginal clans. They provided food for themselves by fishing and harvesting the surrounding bushland. The aboriginals had no reason to travel overseas, as all their recourses were available to them in Australia.
The aboriginal people lived a life of change, moving throughout their country depending on the season. They worked in order to provide food for their families and tribes, trading goods and food to other tribes.
Aboriginal people seem to have lived a long time in the same environment as the now extinct Australian
The work written by Tony taylor is a reliable source, however it does contain some bias on the subject of Aboriginal history. The source is used as an example of how bias can affect revisionist history, and that revisionism can be affected by outside factors. The source is quoted several times throughout the report, and can be seen as an example against the work written by Keith Windschuttle, The fabrication of Aboriginal history. However throughout his work there are numerous slanderous comments made towards the historian as a person, which could showcase an ulterior method to the work, in which the historian uses the work to target a person, rather than the information that he has provided. Overall I believe the source in most parts is reliable, however the Validity of his statements is questionable and are rebutted by keith Windschuttle quite easily. The most prominent strengths of the
There is little said about aboriginal people in early Australian history books. What we do know is that the view of Non-Aboriginal people was very ethnocentric. The opinion was that Aboriginal was that they were savages and
The indigenous cultures of Australia are one of the oldest living cultures in the world. Aboriginal people of Australia have suffered through many crises, when the British colonised Australia in 1788. Many Aboriginal people from different cultures died at hands of British colonial. There were not a lot of Aboriginal people in Australia in 19th century. Mostly, they inhabit in NSW, Queensland and Victoria. There are many cultures in NSW, one of the oldest culture in Sydney is the Darug, they are the traditional owners of Western and south Western areas of Sydney. The Darug nation is large in size and boasts many clans of Darug people. One of the clans called the Cabrogal. Flannery delves into the formation of the continent, the evolution of its species, the origin of the aboriginal people, the arrival and development of European society, and the possible future of the continent and its people. While many of it is an accurate description of the country and provides a good background, a visit to the land itself would more accurately provide an idea of the state of Australia.12 The experience of the aboriginal people became very hard as a result of European colonization. Some were wiped out by war and disease, others left their land to avoid this. Some left willingly, others were forced.

Australia’s Aboriginal people have the oldest culture on Earth. They are believed to have arrived here over 50,000 years ago. (“The History of Australia,” 11/30/16) When European settlement in Australia began, there were up to one million Aboriginal people living in Australia: 500 different clans and 700 different languages. (“The History of Australia,” 11/30/16) Many European explorers sailed the coasts of Australia, but it wasn’t until 1770 when Captain James Cook claimed the east coast of Australia for Britain. The new land was used as a penal site for convicts and prisoners.
I understand that the Aboriginal Australians groups are considered sacred. It's amazing, how their way of living is represented. I noticed with this particular indigenous tribe are nourish resources all over creation, so what others don't see as food, the aboriginals do. The bark of a tree, leaves and flowers can be food to them. These aboriginal use their adapt abilities skills very well. What I have noticed is that they're short on shelter there isn't any type of housing on their land like tents or a hut. Their health is well kept up, but there doesn't seem to be a government, or some types of economic system. Aboriginal Australian also gain knowledge to their environment to keep their environment and food resources safe. They take from their
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are the Indigenous people of Australia who have lived on this land for thousands of years. They have a strong spiritual belief that closely ties them to their homeland of Australia. As Europeans settled in Australia and started to gain control over the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, they started to view the Indigenous through the lense of scientific racism and Social Darwinism, which gathered an opinion for them to either accustom in the white community or to die out. This outlook towards the Indigenous communities resulted in families being torn apart as children were taken away and put into missions that would teach them behaviours acceptable in the white society which had a great impact on

The aboriginal people were exposed to diseases such as chickenpox, smallpox, measles and influenza. This exposure wasn’t what the aboriginal people had experienced before and a lot of them died bringing the population to a decline.
Throughout Australian history, Aboriginal people have been displaced and mistreated through the course of time, through the separation from their from kinship groups, land and the stolen generation. This has resulted in the connection to their dreaming lost, misconnection and loss of their sacred sites and traditional food from their land. As a consequence of the stolen generation, many aboriginal children were deprived of their parents, families, spirituality, language from their land and their cultural identity. All of these aspects contribute to the continuing effect of dispossession on Aboriginal spiritualities.

Archaeologists believe that aboriginals first came to Australia about 45, 000 years ago and were the only population of humans in Australia until the British invasion. There are about 500 different aboriginal groups each with their own language and territory and usually made up of several separate clans. The aboriginals of Australia are marginalised in today society. This marginalisation began right back during the British invasion where they were evicted from their own country, the stolen generation occurred and their health care, education, employment and housing was severely limited. Aboriginals generally live in poor conditions and choose unhealthy lifestyle choices
