Educational Presentation Reflection
I believed that team effectiveness can be measured by looking at how you and your team members approached assignment or presentation as a group. Working as a group for the first time in a master program can be challenging and difficult at the same time. I brought a lot of things to my team during the process of working together to complete our presentation, but I also had some challenges when it came to dealing with scheduling meeting with my team outside of class.
The first thing that I observed as a leadership coach was I very outspoken during our weekly discussion. Everyone in the team had clear and performance goals, But It was challenging for us to come up with it ideal topic.
The features of effective team performance is set up through positive leadership; something which is developed and nurtured. An effective team will work together, be focused and supportive of each other to achieve and reach goals. For a team to be effective, each team member needs to be clear on their roles and responsibilities relating to their job. Team performance will be more effective if there is respect for the leader/manager and an understanding towards their job role and responsibility.

According to the video, the characteristics of an effective team are, “size of the team, diversity of its members, and roles. Teams of seven or less are generally more effective. Smaller teams: reach agreement, share opinions, and ask more questions. Larger teams: disagreements, less participation, and more demands on the team leader. Successful teams require a diversity of knowledge, skills, perspectives, and experience.” (Chapter 18 Teamwork at Cold Stone Creamery)
The feature of an effective team performance include the factors that the describe the team structure and the process that enables goal achievement.
* Task effectiveness – the extent to which the team is successful in achieving it’s task-related objectives.

The group I have been working with currently is the group I used in doing the self-assessment in chapter eight. I scored an eleven which is in the effective teamwork category. This group is a group of three married couple, all who are officers (pastors) of The Salvation Army. Lussier, & Achua stated in their book that all teams are groups, but not all groups are teams. (2013, p.278) Our group is definitely a team working with the common goal to run a week long bible/leadership camp. Each of us has been put in charge of different areas of this camp, such as; decorations, music, snacks, bible studies, and devotionals. Collective as a group we all live hours away from each other, one couple lives in North Platte, Cape Girardeau, and Detroit.

I will be discussing the effectiveness of a team, I have been part of teams which have worked effectively and ineffectively together.
I learned about how important communication, collaboration, agreement, flexibility, and positivity are in the Core Team. I would frequently communicate with all Core Team members (over 25 of them) via text and in person to see if work is being done and help them with any problems they may have. I would also encourage them to never give up when it seems that all hope is lost for a certain project or activity they have been working so hard on. In a similar way, I always put the members’ voice first before voicing my own, whether it is about feedback or more ideas, especially when it comes to masses and retreats. To me, leadership does not mean being the boss, but being a cheerleader for other people. It is about making more leaders and inspiring them to do the things they
One evening, had to close the kitchen with two newcomers who were still adapting to their jobs. I corrected them if they were wrong, and made sure they would voice their opinions and ask questions without reluctance, until time began pressuring me. I lost myself for a few minutes and began to focus only on closing the kitchen. However, at the end, I taught them almost all of the tasks that needed to be done at night with a little overtime. This I acted in a way that will greatly have a positive effect in the future, because leadership is not only about leading the teammates in a single moment, but it is also about providing them a better future from what the leader can teach.
During this course I learned many new concepts about leadership. I observed many things from my team members and I learned by observing their behavior because every person has different qualities. A person can learn in better way as a part of a team as compare to when a person do work individually.so I learn the main two things that that are listen to others and decision making from other team members as a part of a team.during team activities .in a team group members discussed different situation and do analysis of work and solve some critical issues during group discussion .the important thing in group that is to listen to others which is very important during any discussion because listen to
The effectiveness of working in a team varied between members. My personal experience, academic theorists, and further critical analysis can be used to discuss this. According to Ket De Vries
When reflecting on my experience as both a student and a life learner, I never would have considered myself a leader. In fact, I have always been the shy kid who hides in the back of the class and panics whenever it is their turn to respond to a question. College however provided me with an opportunity to develop myself as a leader. I became more active in school activities and actively sought out leadership roles. As I’ve progressed in my professional life, I’ve become more interested in what it takes to make a strong leader. When assuming leadership roles, I’ve always considered myself an authentic leader but I know I’ve often struggled in detailing clear goals for my group or organization. Thankfully, Enrolling in the effective
