TITLE: ACS CLINICAL NUTRITION EDUCATIONAL HANDOUT DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURE
PURPOSE: To provide a standardized process for the development and completion of departmental handouts by clinical dietitian staff that are used to provide patient education.

I. PROCEDURE STEPS:
1. Propose the handout idea to the ACS clinical nutrition manager for approval to develop.
2. Develop a draft of the handout and send out to ACS clinical dietitian staff for feedback.
a. If the handout would also be used by all Harris Health dietitian staff, please send to the Nutrition Education Materials Workgroup chair so that the workgroup can review and provide feedback from a system level.
3. Submit to Corporate Communications if graphic design or photos are needed, and work with the graphic

b. Send draft document and submission form by e-mail to the Corporate Communications director and copy the ACS clinical nutrition manager on the e-mail.
4. Submit to the Patient Education Committee. Once scheduled to present at the Patient Education Committee, the handout developer will either arrange his/her schedule to attend the meeting or arrange for a designee.

b. Send the draft handout and submission forms by e-mail to the e-mail PEC26051c@harrishealth.org and copy the ACS clinical nutrition manager.
5. Developer or designee presents the handout to the Patient Education Committee, noting the purpose and audience of the handout.
a. Developer or designee will notify the Patient Education Committee of any graphic design or translation that is planned or in process.
6. Make any changes requested by the Patient Education Committee and re-submit the handout back to the Patient Education Committee e-mail, copying the ACS clinical nutrition
As a childcare provider I must ensure quality meals are served to children and that nutrition education is encouraged. I offer a variety of foods for our preschoolers and toddlers. Each meal has whole grain bread, a serving of vegetables, and a serving of fruit, with a meat or meat alternate, and milk is served with each meal. I believe that my menu meets all the requirement for a child’s nutritional needs according to the “National Standards for Child Nutrition Programs”
My topic for the paper is to describe the difference in pay between a CEO and a lower level employee. This a major issue in the financial field because people have mixed opinions on whether CEO are overpaid. My argument is CEO are overpaid, considering how financial performance is not controlled by the CEO it is rather controlled by the company as a whole.

The efficient operation of nutrition services is fostered by the maintenance of records. All records necessary to comply with CACFP and USDA requirements are maintained by the Nutrition Manager, Nutrition Assistant, Center Directors, Teaching Staff, Kitchen Staff, Service Specialists, and fiscal department.
As Executive Director, I will provide staff leadership for Better Health Association. Our goal for the company is to improve the well-being of individuals. Although all of these members of the team are essential, the role registered dietitian’s play and the knowledge they contribute is vital to many different specialties in health care. According to a study by Kelly Adams, Karen Lindell, Martin Kolhmeier, and Steven Zeisel, only 30% of medical schools require an actual separate course in nutrition. Although their curriculum may include nutrition throughout the many different courses a physician has to take, this is an inadequate amount of time being spent on nutrition to be considered and expert in this field, which results in the vitality of having and maintaining a RD on their team. Nutrition can prevent and help treat many different problems that arise in clinical care and the different specialties that it entails.
