You’re sitting at your desk,with your long, light brown hair in a plait falling naturally over your left shoulder. You’re looking down at your harmed wrists. Looking down at them, realising that pain you had given yourself, just isn’t as surreal as it used to be. You’re breathing heavily now, saying to yourself “It’s time to go.” Repeating those four words over and over again. School just couldn't have been worse today, and of course your parents were yet again fighting around your wooden eight seater dining table at breakfast today. You can’t seem to find anyway out of your depression, you’ve battled it for years, striving for some kind of incentive. Maybe you were just looking for that serendipity that never came.
No one is home, you believe it’s the perfect opportunity. You take a deep breath and think if you don’t do this now, you, and everyone around you is just going to look down on you, hating you forever. You see it as some kind of game, that such a horrific thing like taking your life could actually be humourous. It’s not, nobody is laughing and they’re never going to.
You gather up the rope, the video camera and the chair because you’re just that desperate to leave. You’re not even thinking clearly now.
You’re standing on the chair in your spacious bedroom. One side of the rope is tied up to the ornate fan while the other side is loosened around your neck. You’re standing there helplessly looking down at your tanned brown legs, looking down accepting that this is
The lights down stairs go out, everyone goes to sleep. You feel now is the best time; you tie a noose around your neck and jump off your bed.

Macbeth is a complex story and encapsulates several themes. Every theme plays a big role and has a very significant meaning to the plot and character development included in the play. The figurative language present in each of the themes forces you to think about what each theme means and how it effects the story. The most relevant and prominent themes in this play consist of ambition, guilt, things are not what they seem, and fate verses free will.
I leave my room and as I'm slowly walking down the white marble staircase, I'm gripping the wrought iron railing. So hard that if it was a person, they would've died from lack of oxygen by now.
“Statistics reveal that in the US approximately...nearly one million people attempt suicide each year” ("Suicide Risk Among Abused Children."). Suicide is not an act of randomness. It is a result of prolonged feelings and/ or events, which push that person to extremes they desperately want out of. Suicide rates are amongst the highest in teens, due to their lack of support systems. During these years many are trying to find-out who they are and fit in, thus many get accepted into some people’s views, but there are also a good number that get ignored and feel like they do not belong anywhere. Teen suicide can be a result of a home-life of abuse or mistreatment, psychological disorders, and lack of social support-bullying; however, through the education on the warning signs of suicide, providing more emotional outlets at schools, and creating safer environments the number of annual victims can be decreased.
Imagine a girl, 12 years old in her room. She is standing on a chair . She has a rope around her neck which is tied to the ceiling fan. On the count of three she pushes the chair off her feet and then suddenly everything goes black. Suicide is the third cause of death in teens. It takes about 35,000 lives each year, almost 11 million people have tried to take their lives. Suicide can be triggered by many things, this action has many effects but can be solved with some simple steps.
Kutner, Max. "Teen Suicide Is Contagious, and the Problem May Be Worse Than We Thought;
I tug on the metallic chains that bind my hands above my head, there was nothing but darkness, no light, no joy only agony. I exhale deeply slumping to my knees, my stomach growling out like a wild animal.
Suicide of any kind is an act in which a person takes his or her own life. FACT: Suicide is a prevalent cause of death among America's youth today. Every day more than 1000 teenagers will think about suicide and eighteen will be successful in committing it. It is an ever-growing problem that can be described as unnecessary and uncalled for. Knowledge and understanding are key factors to preventing teenage suicide. The problem will usually originate from a period of depression, either as a medical concern, or simply because of a saddened event in a person's life. The bottom line is, suicide among teens is not a rare event, and it may be preventable with the proper treatment.
The wind is beating on my face as I grip ferociously on the rope ladder. Looking down below I see blue waters getting farther away little by little. The frigid air has turned my skin purple and numb, while snowflakes falter my vision. And then it happens. I feel a tremendous scraping and clawing at my leg. As I adjust my eyes downward I see a large gray figure. My heartbeat comes to a screeching halt and I see red everywhere. Red on my leg, red falling downward in the sky, red in the water. All the while I am still attached to the ladder with the force left in my forearms. “HELP! PLEASE HURRY! PLEASE HURRY I NEED INSIDE!” I am yelling and crying at the workers above to pull me in. The pain is excruciating and my mind is spinning.
Nobody ever thought that Tyler Clementi- an 18 year old freshman at Rutgers University- would jump off the George Washington Bridge on September 22, 2010. But after a video was streamed of Clementi having a sexual encounter with another man without Clementi’s knowledge, Clementi committed suicide. The actual definition of suicide is “the action of killing oneself intentionally”. The act of suicide is a serious matter, and is particularly prevalent among teens and young adults. The best way to prevent teen suicide is through informing people of its existence, and educating them on the warning signs and prevention methods. In this essay I will explain why suicide is a major public health problem through statistics, show the warning signs,
At this time the infant uses natural reflexes that they were born with such as, sucking and rooting. In which they understand the environment purely on these actions.
For many the concept of teenage suicide is almost always correlated with the psychological mindset of the individuals. However, there is a lot of the factors behind these horrifying events that actually are more sociologically related. These catastrophic events are directly correlated with interactions with the world. The loss of teenagers across the world is increasing and it is a subject that should be touched on in both sciences. Throughout this paper the study of teen suicide in the sociological view will be discussed by going through Emile Durkheim’s studies and the sub groups in which it can occur. These events are related back to such things as social rejection, religious beliefs and social situations. This paper will also touch on the different types of suicide and what the suicides correlate with. The main purpose of this paper is to show how teen suicide is not only a psychological problem with students but to breakdown the areas in which cause these feelings.
My legs started to tingle as I pushed my self out of the chair. I feel alive as my eyes frantically scoop out the room. How do I get out of here, I must get out of here.
“It hurts! It hurts!” the blonde, teenage girl cried throughout the ER. Apparently, she was about to give birth and she did not even know she was pregnant. The doctor immediately got to work. She had delivered a healthy baby girl. Soon the teenager’s father rushed into the room. The father had a look of shock and anger all over his face. “Amber, how could you? What is this? Why didn’t you tell us?” the father asked the teenage girl. “Dad, I’m not pregnant. I couldn’t be,” the girl replied. The doctor was curious to why the girl did not know she was pregnant, so she talked to the boyfriend. The boyfriend was outside the room, panic was written all over him. “I couldn’t understand,” the boyfriend stated. “Well your girlfriend just delivered a baby, so she was pregnant,” the doctor replied. “But we only did it standing up you can 't get pregnant like that. Can you?” the boyfriend asked. The doctor proceeded to asked who had told him about that “fact”. The boyfriend answered that it was his older brother that told him that “If you do it standing up, then the girl is not going to get pregnant. So you can eliminate the use of a condom.” The doctor then had to give a lesson about the birds and the bees. That was an episode on the show Untold Story of the ER. Sexual education is now a phenomenon that is taking place all over the world, especially in Europe.
