When Faelan stepped into Ferelden territory once more, the first thing that hit her was the scent of home. She stood on a hill that overlooked the landscape and breathed in the wind. She had been born and raised on these soils. It was the place where she had lost her home, joined the wardens and altered her life irrevocably. Her decision to become a grey warden had afforded her many great opportunities, but it had also forced her away from her home. With the taint strong in her blood, Faelan had travelled to the far corners of the world to search for a cure and now, she was home. She had slayed the archdemon and ended the fifth blight, but the hardest challenge was being away from Ferelden and Alistair. Suddenly when she thought his …show more content…
Startled, Faelan glanced down at the disgruntled face of the guard. He strode forward and puffed out his chest as Faelan tried not to laugh. “What do you think you’re doing miss?!” he shouted, “this is the royal guard not a jumping obstacle for you to show off on! Well, what are you staring at? Be off with ya.” Faelan tried to contain her smirk to no avail. She enjoyed living under the radar but somehow his lack of recognition only made her guilt worse. Perhaps, she had been selfish when she declared herself fit to rule at Alistair’s side. Maybe, Anora would have been a better queen. One who would have garnered respect, awe and even fear from her guards and not an angry outburst. However, it was still comical. She reined her horse around, tapping Tupp’s side and trotted her up the cobblestone street towards the palace. It winded up the road and she found herself confronted with the royal palace gate and the guards. A different set but no one moved a muscle when she arrived at the gate. Dammit. For a split second, Faelan felt defeated, however, she reminded herself that she had saved Ferelden and slayed an Archdemon. A couple of Fereldan guards were not going to stop her from a warm bath and her rightful place. She pulled herself up and pushed Tupp forward to the gate. She pulled Tupp aside, eyeing the guard and stopped abruptly in front of them. Quickly, she adopted a scowl. “You there,” she called, gesturing
“Hello,” he said. Clarisse barely heard him because she was staring at the singed pieces of his uniform. He cleared his throat. “You must be the new neighbor.”
"Ohhh man." She whined to herself as she looked up at the bulkhead and ran her hands through her golden locks. Pulling her own hair in frustration she thought about what sort of punishment she was about to receive for violating a direct order.
During Fili's time out in the woods, he became scared and just wanted to go home. He wanted to be
Beowulf: A New Telling by Robert Nye is about a character named Beowulf who has to fight evil by using strength, but by also using cleverness. Beowulf’s name means “bee hunter” and Beowulf loved bees. In the story a hall is built it is called Hall Heorot. “By day it towered above men’s heads like a second sun, so bright were it’s walls and roofs”(p. 5). Once the hall is made, a monster comes and eats people at night.
At night, the queen’s Hirdin—her elite guard—dragged people from their homes, accused them of disloyalty, and took them to the castle tower. Screams of anguish were heard day and
Someone yelled in our direction, threatening to call the authorities if we didn't move soon. Tichaona and I exchanged a look and move on not wanting to cause unnecessary problems for the patrols guards.
The pair began to walk the garden, following the trail of trimmed bushes and blooming flowers. “Far too much. I won’t say that the inquisitor is incapable, but she does lack a certain flair. More importantly, In our journey to stop Corypheus, we discovered several things. First, my mother returned and revealed to have made a deal with Mythal. Luckily, you did not have to hear her elusive babble, but in short, she intends to possess me at some point and also removed the old god’s soul from Kieran. I know,” Morrigan replied to Faelan’s open mouth. “That’s the least of our worries - her presence also revealed one of the inquisitor’s companions as
“Bow to your Princess, Cabello scum” Alvaro hissed. “I am heir to my family’s dynasty and I bow to no one” Camila stood and spat at the General. Alvaro wiped the saliva off his cheek and raised his hand to strike her – Camila never batting an eye – before Lauren stopped him.
Anonymous started walking up the makeshift stage where the Princesses resided at the top. He looked at the Guards that surrounded him, and wondered if they were good at their job. Some of them had pure fear in their eyes, some of them looked ready to attack him right there. Anon disregarded their looks, and set his eyes on the dignitaries that were now right in front of him.
“You know me so well, riduur.” Fynta took a deep breath, held it, and then let it slide from her lungs. “On my count, I’ll break cover, and you drop the guards.” Despite her desire for revenge, Fynta wanted this over quickly. For all her recklessness, she trusted her gut, and it warned her that something was off about this situation.
You had just finished a mission, and were returning to your beloved guild, Fairytail. As you passed through the large doors, you saw a familiar white haired female. She was standing behind the bar, serving drinks and food to her fellow guild members. She looked up, her big blue eyes filling with delight as she saw you,

The huge mans sudden move, and the loud pounding on the table startled Titus and all those sitting at the table. Reeling back from the table, Titus knocked over his high wooden chair. When it hit the floor, it made a loud noise that echoed through the large stonewalled room. Standing up and stretching to look as tall as he could. Titus said, “Thank you, your Highness, I shall do my best.”
After reading the assigned short stories I decided to use the first book of the Faerie Queene and Beowulf. These stories have numerous uses of imagery, Throughout Beowulf there are creatures and battles that are so epic they literally pop off the page because of the way ( the author's) described them. In the first book of the Faerie Queene (the author) there are also a wide variety of different monsters and battles and stunning characters, but they also connect with history.
Not everyone believes in fate in the modern world, but back in Beowulf's time fate was a very common belief. The anglo saxon belief was that fate controlled every aspect of people's lives and no one could escape it. They believed fate to be the reason for everything. The hero of the Geats was a firm believer in fate hence why fate is the most prevalent theme in Beowulf. Fate helps Beowulf many times and the story shows fate to be a force for good.
