“Nico!” Joe called out. It was getting pretty close to midnight and the boy was nowhere to be found. “I knew he would get himself lost!” Mari exclaimed. “We should just head back to camp, I’m sure he’s not dumb enough to get eaten or something. Plus, my boots are getting dirty.” Adrien said as he ran his fingers through his hair. “It’s getting really late, Joe. I promise we’ll look first thing in the morning if he doesn’t come back.” Mari said as she glanced at her phone to see if Nico had responded to her spam of texts. “Ok, fine. Whatever.” Joe said dejectedly. “I know Nico is your best friend, but let’s just go before something happens to us.” Adrien retorted. The group started their trek back to camp. A chill went down Joe’s spine. He never wanted to come to this forest in the first place. ‘It’s called Man-Eater Forest for God’s sake!’ Joe said to his friends the day before. They were only going to spend one night. That was until Nico had gone missing. They were going to leave this afternoon, but Nico never returned from his morning hike. We asked him if we could join, but he said he wanted go alone. Joe looked up at the sky. It was a full moon tonight. Something in the venerate seemed to be following them. Joe’s mind drifted off to try to calm himself. He started thinking about his friends. Mari and Adrien. They were a pair, if one of them had gone missing, God knows what the other would have done. Nico and him were the same way. Nico and him were like brothers.
“I’m afraid she’s still away, I have yet to hear from her or her bodyguards.” Kragen responded.
“ Ever since that happened we've been trying to dodge them boys. I never got your name by the way,” said James.
“I wanted to talk to you about that this morning.” He rubbed his warm hand up and down her arm. “I want to take Rory on a hunt overnight. Just the two of us.”
“I was only going to ask if you’re wanted to go for one last trip,” Hunter said looking at him, “I can only promise it won’t be boring and the chances are things may try to kill us.”
He remained silent and got out of the car. I followed him into an alley between two restaurants that reeked of old Chinese and gyros. “Oh no.” I muttered once I saw him climbing the fire escape against one of the
She shrugged. “Touché, sweetie. I’ll admit there is no such thing as the impossible. Therefore, Aiden, I wish you both luck.”
“Why don’t you two get some rest?” He says, “I’ll keep watch for a while.”
“No he just walked away after he told me he couldn't go. I should have asked him though.” I replied.
"Now now! calm down sam." Bric said while putting his seatbelt on. "Don't forget about Adam. I am sure that, that prick is still looking for us. But anyhow, let's get some tonight."
Phoenix kept his head down as containers and papers were flung off the storage table he was seeking solace under. He completely missed the fact that his amulet had slid out of his back pocket and was now laying on the floor. His eyes widened when he seen it laying there discarded, every time the other boy took a step he flinched, afraid that the heavy footed jerk would step on it and shatter it. Slowly he reached his arm out as far as he could, trying to hook one of his fingers around the small silver chain.
“Oh sorry about that mom, I’ve been thinking about some stuff. Mainly about Pele’s prophecy and how the Syndicate kind of play a part in it. I also was thinking a bit about Yuri. I hope she’s alright wherever she’s at.”
The knock at the door startled Dana. She set the Bible she was reading aside, stood, and approached the door.
Victoria lay in the hospital bed and tried to keep the memories from flooding back. The demon was gone, along with its summoner who was killed in the attacks. She felt an immense weight lifted off her. She was alive, against all odds. Because of Lorna, of all people. She’s put a stop the demon. As to why she was there in the first place was a mystery.
The tip of the fluffy, light brown tail disappeared around the corner. I gave chase. My paws pounded on the hard ground, scattering pebbles, and the wind ruffling my fur made me feel like I was flying. I was gaining on it. If I could reach it before he reached the grove of trees…
My sister looks at me with boredom as I walk around. The house was basically empty with only us in the house since my parents were in a “car accident.” I walk upstairs throwing my body onto the bed, letting my eyes begin to get heavy, slowly drifting into sleep... I jolt up putting my hand on my head. It had seemed like somebody had shrieked out loud which made me wake up. I hear it again, a loud, painful shriek from downstairs.
