At first, she could see nothing but smoke. Then, from the center of all the vapors she heard with her enhanced senses a cry in pain. Without thinking twice, she ran towards the source of it until she reached a terrified child with a burn on his leg. She started to drag the boy away from the smoke and flames, but yelped when the fire jumped out at her. But, she persevered and made it to the street with the child in hand. When she got a closer look at him, she realized that he could have only been no older than 6 or 7 years old. Then, she looked closer at his leg. Taking a deep breath, she touched the unbroken skin next to the wound and willed her power to heal the burn. A strange sensation filled her fingers and when she looked back down, scar tissue had replaced the angry, red burn. “Do you know where your parent is?,” she asked him. “Mama, Mama!”, he yelled, pointing at a woman who was frantically running towards them. When she reached them, she repeated thanked Adelyn and then took her son and left for shelter. The little boy smiled over his shoulder at her and walked away with his mother. In that moment, Adelyn knew that she was doing exactly what she was meant to do. The next person she reached was a girl in her late teens who was lying in an stairwell with a leg that was bent in the wrong angle. When she saw Adelyn, she started weeping for joy. “I.. I, I thought that nobody was going to find me! Ev.. everybody left the building and I was so so scared that I was
The girl bolted to the door, eyes darting wildly through the smoke-filled room. The flames licked at her heels as she ran, barefoot, out the front door of the once friendly dwelling. She panted, her glazed eyes looking back at her former home. Her small body collapsed onto the pavement, tears crashing down her tanned face. She heard the muffled cries from her parents in still inside. The parents she couldn’t protect. The parents she killed.

He seemed to be tired because he answered the phone by saying “go back to sleep “ in a lazy tone. So Evan just let him go back to sleep and hung up the phone with no response. Early in the morning, a little boy was playing in the sand. In the market, a little girl was running around, slipping through people and pick pocketing them. They were both around the age of 9. The girl was wearing a dirty white dress that went down to her ankles with no shoes on; her hair was long and was a golden color like the sun. She sneaked out before anyone realized they were being robbed and ran towards the beach. He did not see the girl who was coming up behind with a wooden sword in her tiny hand.

She had no idea how she got there, or how she was even going to get back.
It all started when Niki and her family went to go spend the weekend in a cottage on a lake. This cottage was very old and creepy. When the family got there Niki immediately had a horrible feeling about it. Niki never really worried much, but she worried about a lot of things on this vacation.
“No, but he seemed to just sit and stare at me for near on my entire shift. I was going to point him out to you but he just disappeared.” She said and suddenly started to get an uneasy feeling. “Ulyana, do you get the feeling we are being watched?”
Alone one dark Friday winter night, Alley was sleeping soundly cozy under her bright pink comforter. Her single mother, Isabella, had left that morning out of town for a work meeting. Alley’s father had died a few years ago from a mysterious murder. Suddenly she got out of bed and shivered to the door to see what was making this weird noise. Alley opened the door and stepped onto the back porch, looking into the dark night. Listening to the sound of the wind howling and the sound of the harmless crickets chirping. But, nothing and no one was there…
Jerry came home from work later than usual that Friday night. He didn’t say hello when he found me in our bedroom, but thrust the glittery pink bag at my chest and waited with half of a grin.
I heard a knock at the door. It was my best friend Greta! I was excited to see her, but something wasn't right. She looked absolutely terrified. I had wondered what had happened ,but before I could ask she said,"Heidi, I went home after dinner--my family Heidi!” She was crying hysterically. I replied, “I’ll tell you tomorrow.” She said,”It can’t wait till tomorrow!” She had finally told me what had happened her family was taken. I din’t know what to think. I told her that I might be able to help, however I don’t really know. I went to my bed. I couldn’t sleep almost whole night. Greta’s words thundered in my mind. I wanted to help her, but I din’t want to hurt my family. I knew that if I helped her that my family could get hurt. We could all get hurt.
