BOOM BOOM BOOM stomped the feet of the crazy dancers there was a crash then a loud but high voice saying “why didn’t you bump into me are you crazy help I’m being tortured” and of course that voice was my friend Preia the dramatic princess And I said sorry but she was really upset that this kept happening and then she said” get away from me you're the worst dancer ever and should never dance again” she might of not said that exactly but that’s what I felt like she was saying because it was all in her face’s expression.
That special bump into Preia day only called that because she got bumped twice or fourteen to be exact and the only reason this happened was because of Diwali. What is Diwali you ask? Diwali Is a holiday it's like new year this year october 19 . My first Diwali was magical it was the first time I saw peers dance and danced myself. This was of course with my friends and my older sister at that age I was her favorite the best and I felt that way about her until I found out how to turn off the tv. At one of my friends “mansion” the owner was named Preia. As we as we walked in a wonderful aroma welcomed me into her house of course to was her mom cooking amazing food.
Then there is me the one and the only person there to “I quit” for like the hundredth time in a row. Then my mom would say “ok I guess I’ll go and tell the mom who was running this that you quit and will not be joining again and will never dance your “ silly” little dance again”
In the short story “Saving Sourdi” it shocked me at first to know that some marriages are still arranged here today in America. I had to read the story back because to understand the struggle Nea and her family has from moving from the homeland to America trying to attain the American Dream. Nea’s and her sister had a great relationship while they were growing up but because Sourdi is older and more mature she harsh realities of the world before Nea. Nea is to young to understand such changes in the world because from a young age she was promised happiness but lost hope as she moved from place to place. Having a sister I can relate to Nea anxiously want to drive to her sister house in the middle of the night to make sure she is alright.
Dr. Seuss was originally born as Theodor Suess Geisel. He was born in 1804, on Howard St. in Springfield, Massachusetts. Theodor's father and grandfather were brewmasters in the city. When he was younger, his mother would soothe her children to sleep with wonderful chants and rhymes which played a part in his interest for his rhymes and stories that soon made him such a famous man. Theodor and his sister, Marnie, enjoyed a happy childhood despite the struggles German immigrants faced after WWI. Theodor's memories of his hometown, Springfield, can be seen throughout his work. Drawings of Horton the Elephant trotting along streams in the Jungle of Nool are seen to mirror the watercourses in Springfield's Forest Park from that time period. The

1) Cultural relativism is understanding cultures and how things relate to each other in a context of a certain culture. Americans tend to be very ethnocentric. To most Americans cows tend to be just a source of food, but for many cultures in the East, cows are sacred and part of their religion. Anthropologist use Cultural relativism when studying other cultures by learning what is important them and their entire culture. Anthropologist then use that information to understand artifacts and other things in a more in depth, culturally appropriate way.
“Don’t worry, we’re both gonna do great!” I explained, even though I was nervous too. That was the day we were finally trying out for competitive dance at our dance studio, Bleker’s. Bleker’s used to do competitive dance years ago, and finally, after I had been dancing there for 9 years, they started to do comp again!
In America there was no secret that owning slaves was a big deal, it was forced labor. The rate at which they worked brought in money which allowed the owners to buy more land and slaves, therefore gaining wealth and power. I believe this picture is a famous one because it shows the price at which the power was paid for, by treating humans like property.
After I’m dressed the singers start singing and a little after the drum beat follows once the drums start we start dancing to it. We take a break eat but not too much that I have to go to the bathroom during the dance, rest a little then in the evening we do another dance around a big fire that kind of burned my skin. The next morning I woke up at five, rushed to eat my breakfast so I could go dance. Later, towards afternoon the crown dancers came and danced with me. On the third day I got up early again danced, I then had to run in four directions once I start running everyone follows. The first time I ran, I fell; humiliated and wanting to disappear a family member picked me up. She patted me down took my shoulders and looked me in my eyes. They were soft eyes that seemed to have infinite wisdom, in which she shared with me, saying that: Life is full of struggles. Some day, somewhere in the distant future, you will get hurt, you will be in so much pain and you might trip and fall, but the most important
Poised in evenly imposed exhalations in the placement halving his presence, Darbai kept his lower regions engulfed by the shady stalks yielding lasting heights traced by the male's midsection, or stomach. Currently, hazed, rusty-colored irises grew clouded by a layer of lustrously-rich substances that deformed his visionary capacities, and ultimately blinded the colossal wolf. Since stopping to brace a fleeting flick of malfunctioning pupils across the blurry green blobs of terrain, he'd focused on reclaiming clarity in his sights with several repetitive blinks dubbed as a distraction. At times, the Fighter's eyes breathed lucid moments as he raised his head atop its provocatively-tended vertical lengths, extremity-wise with the outstretching of one's slumped posture to capture deemed advantageous, elevated viewpoints as he searched.
Once upon a time there was a turkey named Moo. Moo was scared of Thanksgiving to say the least, but what turkey isn't? Moo didn't want to be on the Thanksgiving feast table, but once again, who does? Moo walked around the farm thinking of different ways to disguise herself. She thought of different animals that she could disguise herself as so that the farmer wouldn't recognize her. But nothing really came to mind. Moo continued to walk and look at all the different pens that held all of the different animals. She came across pigs but, then again some people used pigs for Thanksgiving. She continued to walk in search of the perfect animal to disguise herself as. She came across some horses but didn't think that she'd be able to pass as a horse.
Ny'ati, known as Da'nyis on (name of planet), thought but a single word, “Ra'heoidi” for thought was all that could exist within the void, there was the feeling of shifting around her as this thought took form and the void did fall away, she who was naught but thought herself soon found her form within the newly created heavens, and unto her the Letna'l the holy ones, did slowly come forth beings given birth by her thoughts, and with her they lived long before aught else was made. And she spoke to them, propounding unto to them the seeds of stories, when she began to weave they would come and share with her those stories that had sprouted, and she was glad.. But for a long while they told their tales only each alone, or but few together, while the rest did hearkened, for each comprehended only that part of the mind of Da'nyis from which he came, and in the understanding of their brethren they grew slowly. Yet as they listened their own stories took on new life as they came to a deeper understanding of their brethren.
When Nick was in seventh grade, his class at Saint Theresa took field trip to Catalina Island Marine Institute also known as CIMI. When I was in sixth grade, our class went to the most uninteresting science museum in the world, at least to me. There wasn’t anything appealing to me, and all I wanted at that time was go to CIMI, but I couldn’t. I was so jealous of Nick, and he just kept receiving gifts and gifts more than I could dream of. During Christmas, he would one up me every time. I would always speed over to Granny’s house very enthusiastically, as I wanted to show off my new present. This time, Santa brought a brand new blue bike. But as always, Nick got something way better. At grandma’s he ran in with his brand new slick iPad that
On November 24th 1725 we all gathered around the town square. This year for thanksgiving was different than the previous 3 years, this year we had to kill, defeather, and clean our own turkey from the barn, we couldn’t go to the store and buy one. The twist with this deal was whoever could do it the best would be the professional chef for the town and get their own shop making over half a million a year in profits.

Many of my fellow dancers would say negative things that no aspiring dancer wanted hear such as, "She's the worst dancer in this whole entire dance studio." Instead of letting their harsh words bring me down, I used their insults as motivation to work harder so I could one day prove them wrong. Every time I danced, I didn’t just focus on my weaknesses, I would also acknowledge my strengths to keep me motivated. Jackie Robinson restrained from losing his dignity when members of the diamond world would tear him down, likewise I learned to build a thick skin and not letting their cold remarks pave a way to my
