She met him on any other day at her family bar. It was packed to the brim with pirates left and right all singing their own shanties, lifting their drinks in the air with glee. The marines said that they were murderous men who only cared for gold, which on most accounts She would agree but this crew she served was different. They broke out of the box that she and the rest of the world had put them in. It also helped she became smitten with him. One of those so-called pirates, freckles covered his cheeks, with a puppy smile to match. It makes her wonder how the government could fear him. He was witty, intelligent in his own way and always ready to have fun. He was congenial a kinder spirit, she felt a pull to him, never one to ignore her gut she got closer to him.
It was dangerous, oh so dangerous. She shouldn't have risked it, shouldn't have tried. For once, he caught her heart he kept it. With his bright brown eyes, and wavy hair. With the tattoos on his back, and shoulder, with his tales of the sea. He was a siren calling out to her, he wanted her as much as she wanted him. No matter her silent warning to herself, no matter her saying, “how can I let myself fall in love with you, if you will just leave?’ He only answered back with, "Have you ever lived in the moment?" His words caused her to sigh at his words, "I'll most likely regret it in the end." He laughed smiling wider leaning back in his chair, as his eyes slid shut. That irritating, handsome smile
The pirate was not only confrontational but fearless, a trait I wanted better acquaintance with. Of anyone in our class, this guy had the least cause to be so outspoken, so confident, yet he was. I was intrigued” (42).
“Buccaneers and Pirates of our Coasts”, by Frank Richard Stockton, is a non-fiction, rollicking story of the origins of piracy and of the famous pirates of the coasts of the United States, such as Blackbeard, Captain Kidd, and Henry Morgan. The stories don’t cast pirates in the glowing light of modern day interpretations, in Stockton’s stories, pirates are bad guys! Stockton tries to show his audience that even old pirate stories can be entertaining as well as valuable. Although, the dramatic and authentic feel makes his stories quite entertaining.
She couldn't do this to herself anymore. This was the last time, she knew it. Not just because she wanted to end things but because she could see it written all across his face. He was finally ending things as well. "I know." he started, his words soft and sad. "I love you, Coby and I always will but I am about to have a family. " Now he looked away from her. She merely nodded but stayed absolutely silent. "Things could have been different but.." he cut himself off but she knew what he meant, if she would have said yes to his proposal. She mentally kicked herself, she should have just married her and it would their children he called family. In that moment she felt so many emotions that she knew she was about to break, she needed to get out of there before she began crying. "We need to be strictly professional for now on." he finally said after a moment, braking the silence that filled the cruiser. "I know" she replied but she could hear her own voice break. She needed to get out of there right now and so for the last time, she leaned across the cruiser and places a kiss on his cheek. "I love you, too." She said before slipping out of the car, leaving him sitting
The point of this book was to put aside the myths about pirates and replace them with facts. There are many fictional myths about pirates and their lives on the sea. Many books and movies have built pirates up to be romantical heroes instead of the ruthless savages they were, so this book focuses on separating fact from fiction about life as a pirate.
“Pirates, Galleons and Treasure” also shows pirate stories being romanticised when they speak about the relationship of Anne Bonny and Calico Jack.
The Romance and Reality of Pirate Life David Cordingly, an engaging, self-exclaimed pirate expert, gives a vivid history of what it was like to live during the height of Atlantic piracy. Cordingly tells us who became pirates, what they wore, and how they were armed among many other detailed accounts of every day life both on land and at sea. Pirates, says the author, were attracted by the lure of plunder and the desire for an easy life.” The author explains that these men and women were not the fantasized heroes of today’s popular culture, but ruthless thieves, murderers, and lawbreakers.
After some time sailing she also served as a soldier in both infantry and cavalry units, very often proving braver and more courageous than her fellow soldiers. While serving as a soldier she fell in love with one of her comrades, and found a way to let him know she was a woman, and shortly thereafter they married. After they were married, Mary and her new husband left the service and set up a restaurant where their former comrades could come and eat. However, not long after they opened the restaurant Mary’s husband died and the war ended, leaving Mary with no spouse, and no income since the soldiers no longer came to eat at the restaurant. She gave up her restaurant and went back into sailing. Eventually the ship she was on sailed to the West Indies where it was captured by pirates, whom she eventually joined. Initially Mary Read had no intentions of becoming a pirate as it was something “she always abhor’d” (Defoe, 1999, p. 146), and she was not planning on staying on that ship. Her intentions to leave the ship changed when she fell in love with another pirate. Her new love had run into trouble with a much larger pirate than him, fearing the worst for her love, she picked a fight with the same pirate and scheduled him to a duel, killing him two hours before her lover was to fight him. Mary’s life as a pirate came to an end in 1720, when the ship she and her crewmates were captured and

Pirates were strange. Much like society, they picked and chose what they were willing to accept, and what they were not. Pirates were willing to accept men of all color, creed and country. They believed that even those who were not able to physically keep up with the demands of sea-life, due to injury, or disability brought upon them by their engagements in this unforgiving trade, could serve a purpose on a ship. They would have these men cook, doctor, or perform other jobs which did not require two legs, or both eyes. But, as it is well known, women are terrible luck. They are emotional, weak, usually pregnant, and cause the sea to swell and rage in their presence. Not only this, but worse, women are distracting. They’re raw, sexual
"Pretty much a maid. But more...sweaty and covered in sea salt." Aria replied. "Your part of my crew now." Gideon drew back a bit. "Hold on now! You can't make me clean your stupid ship! And since when did I become your crew!?" Aria growled her head pounding she grabbed her pistol and pointed it at his face. "Lad...I suggest you hush...you don't scream at a pirate who is half hungover, especially when she has other stuff to worry about...now get up there on the deck and start swabbing." Gideon's face paled, he nodded and he took off to the ship. Once a few feet away from Aria he rolled his eyes. "Now get up there and start swabbing! Pfft!" He growled. "I heard that!" Aria called and Gideon froze and he took off to the

“Uh, yeah! Sure!” When I knew I was l alone I ran all over town looking for the source of the snow. I finally found it at an abandoned warehouse just outside of town. I waited a couple of seconds before saying something but before I could, someone spoke.
“Do you think it was mistake? We have nothing and we just left without even finishing high school. We’ve only been together for nine months and we’re starting a life together.” She looks at him and sees the pain in his eyes caused by the reality and truth of what she’s saying.
A few days passed and I woke up and ran to dad's house and knocked on the door Carl answered the door "Yeah?" "Where's Dad?" I asked. "Up stairs." He said. I walked in "Dad! We need to talk Now!" Rick came flying down the stairs "Love what is it?" he asked. "It's Negan We have to do something about him I swear to god..." "Love He is just trying to get under your skin, and you're letting him." "No Dad you are because you're not strong enough to deal with him. You better do something about him before I do." I said as I stormed out of the house. "That girl is just like her mother..." I yelled back "I heard that Rick!" I walked up the road to the gate to my shift I climbed up and told Gabriel that he could go if he would like to. He nodded and climbed down and walked down the street to the church. I spent hours on watch with nothing happening, then my mind started to wander to Negan. 'God he's such a Cocky, arrogant, egotistical, self important, self absorbed, erratic, son of a bitch, but goddamn is he a good looking man. He's straightforward, outgoing, persistent, practical, and witty. but hot...' I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the rumble of trucks, It was Negan and the saviors. I turned and yelled "The saviors are coming." I saw Dad come out of the house, and I climbed down the guard tower and opened the gate pulled out a machete and killed any walker that got too close to getting in which weren't that many two or three the trucks stopped in front of the gate
