A Short Story : A Story Of Cinderella

There once was a little boy whose grandfather loved reading to. The little boy’s pale blue eyes shined every Grandfather took out his famous worn out copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. The little boy, Asher, particularly loved Cinderella and how the princess went from being a princess, to a slave, to a princess again. “Grandfather,” Asher said. “Today, can you please read Cinderella? I’ll be good to Tommy. I promise!” Tommy ran into the room just as his older brother was settling down for a story.
“Me too, Me too!” He cried as he flung his little body onto brother Asher’s bed. “I want a story about Cinderella!” Grandfather tiredly looked at the two pairs of eager eyes that looked hungrily at the book of stories. He flipped through the pages …show more content…

Even the flowers cried with loss as the beautiful queen was lay down in her final resting place, under the silver willow. The castle was thrown into chaos. The King retired to his bedchamber where he was trapped in mourning of losing the love of his life. The once beautiful castle grew ivy, weeds, and dirty with grime. The halls were a haven for woodland creatures. Julian saw a mouse skitter by. “Have no fear,” The mouse said as Julian looked quite sadly at the teeny invader. “Oh little mouse! I am not afraid. My dear mother passed away and my father is mourning and forgot how to be the king,” Tears pooled in Julian’s beautiful ice blue eyes. “Prince,” The mouse said. “Your life will change drastically in the next few months. Since you were so good to me, sever my head and bury my body under the Silver Birch tree. If you do so, whenever you need something, just sing. Your wishes will be granted.”
The prince protested and tried to convince the mouse not to give him this wonderful but terrible gift. Julian did not want to kill the only friend he had in the castle, even if he just met him. With great difficulty, the prince took out his handsome silver hunting knife and served the mouse’s head. He then took the small, broken body and buried it under the Silver tree.
A couple months later, the King called Julian to his room.
