Cam was a young and talented boy at the age of 18. He would have had his whole life ahead of him, if it wasn’t for the beautiful, redhead, with crystal blue eyes that made your heart stop. Her name was Hailey. That day he told himself she was his future. Five years later, in a small suburban home as ordinary as the next, lived a family of three. Cam, Hailey, and their 4 year old boy Mason Cole. Cam had the perfect life with a kind, adorable, and most importantly loving, wife. A job at a realtor business and an innocent son who loved him no matter how bad he messed up. Nothing ever went wrong. Everyday was exactly the same. He woke up, ate breakfast with his family, said goodbye, went to work, came home, and went to sleep. Except for the day that time stood still and in a moment all of his mistakes, regrets, and decisions flashed before his eyes. That day was December 1. That day after work he decided to go to the grocery store to buy a bottle of Jack Daniel whiskey. He wasn’t much of a drinker, but work had given him a lot of stress. When he got home, he had already drank the bottle and the smell of alcohol was on his breath. His wife Hailey had rushed into the dining room where Cam was sitting. She was screaming and crying while she mumbled something about how Mason was bleeding under her breath. Without a moment's hesitation he ran just like a superhero into the room where Mason was sitting in a pool of his own blood. He called 911, but no one came. Knowing he was intoxicated he got into the car and drove as fast as he could with mason and Hailey in the back seats. Cam drove like a maniac, a fast maniac and that was the biggest regret of his life. All he saw were two bright headlights coming right at him, and in a instant water slowly filled up the blue, little, convertible bug. In that moment his son’s life flashed before his eyes and then everything was slow. His eyes opened wide to see a hospital room and a frail women at the end of his bed. It was Hailey. Something was wrong he just knew it. Unable to move he simply asked where is Mason? However, unfortunately he already knew the answer to the dreadful question. He was in the last level of the hospital, the most morbid, scary, and dreadful place….. The

I look over at Caleb and see that he is unconscious, with blood rolling down his forehead from a shard of glass that hit him when the back windows exploded. Suddenly I hear a loud scream. Sirens, making a noise so blood curdling, like a symphony of women screaming at the top of their lungs. It reminds me of that day when I was eight, except this time it’s my brother who I am hoping is okay, not Tina, who I knew wasn’t going to make it.

The fireworks had just ended leaving large smoke clouds in the sky, and the large swarms of people made there way to the front gate. Lauren reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone to check the time. She clicked the lock button on the side a few times before realizing I had died. Deej Logan was just like any normal high school girl. She woke up on her first day of school and combed her hair, picked out the “perfect” outfit and headed out the door. At school drama was swarming all around her, not exactly what she hoped the first day would be like. By the time the last bell of the day rang she was more than happy to get out of that school. She drove home as quickly as she could but as soon as she got home she realized that she had forgotten to pick up her sisters. “Great.” She thought sarcastically as she sat back down in her car and drove off. Just then she pulled out her phone to message one of her friends about her awful day. That one decision changed everything. Before she had a chance to send the message Deej veered off into oncoming traffic and was killed on impact.

“There's no hope left, the whole house is going to burn,” i yell out in fear as the ravishing heat hits my face as if it was a sucker punch. Macey calls all her children and the 4 kids run in order outside the house. “Wheres Ben !?” “We couldn't help him ma, the door collapsed and we couldn't go into his room to help him,” Will whimpers on the floor sobbing his pain away. The voice in my head, normally so calm and controlled, was screaming at me to run. That was exactly what was going through my five year old mind when I walked around the hallway corner to see my mother being beat to her death by my biological father, Brax Magnus. As I tried so hard to stay and defend my mom, I could not help but panic and so I ran. I ran so far until I seen a small gas station. I went inside to find a phone, but realized I did not know who to call. The cashier, seeing that I was crying and looked panic, walked over to me.
