A global mindset is one that can manipulate groups of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures (Griffin, p. 7). Recently, I took a test to score my global mindset. There were ten questions that I had to respond to with a number from one to five. One being that I would strongly disagree and five being that I would strongly agree. My global mindset score was 43, which means that I am “open to meeting people from a variety of cultures” (Griffin, p.7). Although my global score was high, I learned that there are additional steps to improve my global mindset, such as learning another language, volunteering for international organizations, and developing specific behaviors.
First, I will respond and explain on how I based my score for each of the questions. For the first statement, “In Interacting with others, I assign equal status to people regardless of their national origin,” (Griffin, 2014, p. 7), I ranked this as a five because overall it makes no difference as to where an individual is from.
For the second statement, “I consider myself as equally open to ideas from other countries and cultures as I am to ideas from my own country and culture of origin,” (Griffin, 2014, p. 7), I rated this as a four. My reason for not giving it a five is because although I am open to other cultures and ideas from other cultures, I find myself remembering my own experiences from traveling. For example, when I was in Costa Rica, I loved meeting new people and trying new foods. One day, I
American history is full of powerful people that influence the history of the America and the actions taken to stand up for what the citizens believe in. Patrick Henry is one of America 's most influential people that took a stand for what he believed in when he presented the Speech to the Second Virginia Convention. Another influential person is Thomas Paine when he wrote the Crisis No.1. Although the Crisis was meant to be read, it was read aloud to unify the troops and boost morale. Henry and Paine both build their arguments and points using ethos, pathos, logos, personification, and strong imagery to appeal to their audiences, while using similar rhetorical devices to achieve their goal.
Individuals of the same ethnic background share the same culture a factor that explains that there, as many cultures as there are ethnic backgrounds across the world. Globalization has, however, led to interaction of people from varied cultural backgrounds. Because of the interaction, globalization has been accused of limiting cultural diversity. It is, however, not the case in reality. The purpose of this paper is to analyze some of the factors that justify that globalization has not limited cultural diversity as its critics say. Thus, globalization should not be viewed as a hindrance to cultural diversity because the best subject of moral concern should be the individual person and not the nation, community or the society.

In “The Futility of Global Thinking” writer Wendell Berry gives the people of the next generation advice on the problems they may come in contact with, now that they’re on their own. Berry goes into great detail explaining what problems to look out for and what ideas to avoid when faced with a problem. He is trying to help steer the next generation away from the mistakes previous generations have made so they can truly make their own decision in how their lives are going to play out.

In the Racial Inventory Assignment, I have scored 48 out of 115. The reason of the low score I got might be caused by three factor, the population, income and social influence of Asian Americans.

From everyday experiences to recent news stories, I have come across many issues that large families face in America. Poverty and child abuse are top issues in the United States. For this reason, I believe the government should start regulating the number of children people can have based on financial stability, place of residence, criminal history, and other qualifications. The ideal American family image is one that provides parents that gracefully accommodate and nurture their children with open arms, financial cohesion, warm meals, and a roof over their heads. Although one might think these characteristics are a given, they are not as common as the general population widely assumes. There are many individuals deemed “unfit

In fact, in the book To Kill a Mockingbird; there are many characters that without knowing actually made judgement. There are many judgements drawn towards the main character Boo Radley, and Tom Robinson. They judge Boo on the way he lives.

Peter Alfandary: The myth of globalization, in his video, Peter presents a case as to why there is a need to learn about other cultures. He notes that there is a tendency for people to assume because they share a common language or live in the same part of the world that they understand each other’s cultures. However, he illustrates how misplaced this belief is by proving that people may live
