Webster’s Dictionary describes a hero as a person admired for his/her achievements and/or qualities. In Fearless by Eric Blehm, multiple heroes prevail in the story. These heroes consist of people like Janice, Larry, and Kelley Brown. Why are they heroes? They are heroes not only for their constant support of Adam in each and every day of his life but for continuing his legacy through everything they do. Many people do not know how much they will love their child until they are holding them in their arms for the first time, and in the Brown family, this was clearly the case. Parents are not only going through their own struggles, but they have a whole other person to constantly worry about as well. Janice and Larry Brown were the beloved parents of Adam and were always his backbone when he ended up in a rough spot. From the early ages of Adam’s life to the mature man that he became, Janice and Larry were always taking the best out of every situation. Adam was a rowdy, childish, and typical “throw some dirt on it” young boy. If Adam was not jumping off the roof, then he was climbing a ladder in the garage (page 13). If he was not climbing a ladder in the garage then he was hopping over the neighbor’s fence. Yet through all of the immature acts that were a part of their son’s life, Janice and Larry constantly gave Adam the support, attention, and lectures that he deserved. This was hard for them, as it would be for every family, but luckily they put their complete trust and

Heroes come in different shapes, sizes, and looks. Maybe someone you saw on the street one day was heroic for saving someone’s life in a car accident. A hero to me is someone who can be brave in situations that aren’t so safe, and take a risk to make sure everyone is okay, no matter who
A hero is someone who is admired and valued for their courage, outstanding achievements, and noble qualities. A hero to one person may not be a hero to another. I strongly agree with this definition for a hero to a person is not always a hero to others. In saying this, my hero is Isabelle Bruce Reid because she was the first female to qualify in Australia as a veterinarian. To me, Isabelle Reid was a name in history who changed the world, is valued and is a great role model.
A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities, according to Dictionary.com. Adam Brown and his wife, Kelley Brown, dealt with a broad spectrum of difficulties in their relationship that most people never have to face in their lifetime. Though they faced their fair share of hardships, Kelley and Adam overcame each one and became heroes in the novel, Fearless, by Eric Blehm. Kelley was a true hero from the moment she met Adam Brown. After falling in love with him, Kelley found out that Adam had a drug problem that he was working to overcome.
A hero is a person who is admired for his/her qualities or achievements. Heroes are brave and influential figures who perform selfless deeds to others. Heroes have different backgrounds, personalities, and journeys. A hero is someone who is willing to make sacrifices for others, making their lives a little better. Heroes are there for people; it’s what they do. A very big hero in my life is my mother.
What is a hero? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the word hero is defined as “a person admired for achievements and noble qualities”. People would typically think about the superheroes in fictional stories if they were to be asked the question, but what about the heroes in real life? Who has the “achievements and noble qualities” that would make them admirable? Perhaps one has those attainments: they would be bold, courageous, and would impact people’s lives; but yet, people would not admire them and call them a hero because everyone has their own perspective and ideas.
Heroes are selfless and put others before themselves in dangerous situations. Such as on 9/11, when a call was given out for boats to come rescue people off the island of Manhattan, where the terror attacks happened, as pictured in “Boatlift” Vincent Ardillo after hearing the news told his wife, “I gotta do something.” This represents heroism because Ardillo is not thinking of how he will be impacted, but rather of the people who need help, as many other people with access to a boat did as well. Also, Ardillo could have stayed home and been safe, but chose to sacrifice his well being and comfort for others. Another hero would be Clara Barton, the founder of the Red Cross, as Barton declared in a Civil War speech “I may be compelled to face danger, but never fear it, and while our soldiers can stand and fight, I can stand and feed and nurse them.” Barton distinguishes she could be hurt while helping the soldiers, however she does not dwell on the fact, deciding instead to carry on and make a difference despite the threat to health. This is heroic because Barton is putting others who cannot care for themselves and acknowledges she could be hurt, but does not let that get in the way of her reaching her goals. To sum up, heroes are everyday people who go out of their way to help others in need without the thought of payment.

What is a hero to you? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a hero is someone who is greatly admired for their qualities or actions. A hero does not have to be famous or have extraordinary powers. A new day brings a new hero and as times change, so does the hero. For the majority of people, a hero is a person who makes a difference with an insignificant action, but yet, it has a tremendous impact in their life. That hero in my life, is Dr. Greg Forbes.
There are many types of heroes (such as the ones in comic books, myths, movies, or even just everyday life heroes) but all of them have perseverance when they’re going through a conflict. Heroes are role models and they’re people that we look up too. They all have unique and special qualities that make one another different from each other. For example policemen battle crime everyday and when they’re overcoming a conflict they have determination, courage and other traits that people admire them for and that make them as a hero. Typically a hero is admired for their achievement/actions and qualities.
