My second career preference is a General Internist. A General Internist is a general term for a Physician who has a broad knowledge of the human anatomy. Most subspecialize in specific specialties, such as: Cardiology, Infectious Disease, and even Oncology. The subspecialty that I want to achieve is Endocrinology. Endocrinology deals with the endocrine glands and hormones. Internists work alongside other medical specialists to help a variety of patients with their care and plan for any issue that the patient could encounter. Responsible for conducting tests and developing treatment regimens for their patients, General Internists work with mostly adult patients, although specializing in pediatrics is an option, as well. They follow a patient's treatment through the diagnosis of their condition to the transitions from in and out of the hospital.

During the whole process of designing the IMC plan for HP Sprocket in this semester, I have earned valuable experience about teamwork, and I have learned lessons not only from class, but also from the whole working process. First of all, I have to admit that this group is one of the best groups I’ve ever had, I used to think that only failed experience helps people learn and grow. However, this time in a well-organised group, I found that I was wrong, positive experience contributes as well. This essay will reflect what I have learned, and it will be mainly divided into two parts: academic reflection and experiential reflection.

The death of a loved one has the power to fill a person’s life with sorrow, yearning, and regret. When my best friend lost his life in a car accident, despair came over my community, my school, and me. A chasm opened in my heart because I could not stop his death. However, with recent technological advancements, many similar deaths may become preventable. Each year, human error while driving affects thousands of lives whether it be from substance abuse, distractions, or simple mistakes. In coming years, innovations in the autonomous car industry will result in the removal of driver dependency and create safer roadways for all commuters. I am passionate about utilizing the knowledge, diversity, and overall Cornell experience to improve and the safety of autonomous cars around the world.

How would you feel if you lost a limb by choice or not? Growing up I was introduced to this question by accompanying my father to many of his MOPH, Military Order of the Purple Heart, meetings. During these meetings I saw many soldiers who had lost their legs, arms, or other parts of their bodies. I quickly realized how unfair their situations were and, I began to ask how can I give back to those who have lost their limbs? This led to me pursuing a career in biomedical engineering.
My Plant Engineering (PE) internship experience at United Parcel Service (UPS) allowed me to utilize all that I have learned at Florida Polytechnic University and apply it to real world work experience. Thus expanding upon my previous knowledge while simultaneously allowing me to grow in new ways that cannot be taught in the classroom. Interning at UPS has helped highlight my fortes and flaws as not only an engineering student, but also as a young adult entering the professional world. Through firsthand daily coaching and mentoring from senior engineers, I discovered that communication is the key to being successful as an individual and as a team. Encouraging social cognizance provides necessary balance within a company.
