Bringing a car back from a decrepit state is gratifying, but being able to take it to the maximum level of engineering is brag-worthy. Everyone loves being unique, and showing up at the local meet in something that stands out is twice as great. More power, more torque, more style, and more sophistication are all key aspects that will carry your car to the center stage.
Everyone adds their own unique touch to their ride. Devoting a lot of money, though, as with most things, is the ticket to set you apart. These seven cars are so sinfully well done that we might as well be begging for forgiveness. Money, time, craftsmanship, and dedication all pushed these princes to perfection. Not all of these are beauty queens, though, so look out. The last thing we want is you to get embarrassed if you meet one of them at a stop light start.
7) 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - Gregg Hamilton -
That is a big 10-4 good buddy; this Trans Am is everything that the Bandit wishes his Pontiac could have been. We all know that the Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit was sweet, but in real life, the 1977 Trans Am was a bit of a dud. Gregg Hamilton, a World Rally Star, so loved the car’s ideology that he took it and made it what it should have been.
A new GM 5.3 Gen III V8 with forged rods, pistons, and LS9 cams (plus, two turbos) make this a monster. Lowered and with revised bodywork, you will notice it still looks the part of a movie star but finally behaves like one.
6) 1971 De Tomaso
When someone says, Chevrolet muscle car, what model comes to mind first? For me, the answer is a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport with a cowl induction hood. Even better, is a big block car like the SS 396 or the LS6 454 Chevelle. These GM A-body's check a lot of boxes for those seeking to start or add to a muscle car collection.
It's built with a 50 KSI hydroformed steel frame, and five-link coil rear suspension. The truck is built with one of three engines, a 383 Horsepower, 5.7 Liter V8, a 410 Horsepower, 6.4 Liter V8, or a 370 Horsepower, 6.7 Liter Turbo Diesel 16 engine with a 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission.
Even though this masterpiece is simply a prop, Chevrolet has had a bit of fun by advertising the Batmobile's many impressive features, such as bulletproof windows, variable height suspension, stud shooters, and sextuple exhaust, as well as a rocket booster in the rear, and 60.2L engine.
The first few months of production the Machine came the way the factory built it. Featuring a patriotic red, white and blue paint scheme, console mounted four on the floor manual transmission with a Hurst T-handle shifter and a high output version of the 390 CID big block V-8 producing an epic 340 HP.
The distinct identity that this vehicle has in the marketplace is that it is a phoenix of cars, reborn out of the old model of the Holden Monaro and made into a new, slick version. Holden would position this in the market by saying that it is the most powerful mainstream Holden to be brought out, drawing people who desire that kind of brawn and intensity in a car.
Ford demanded more, so Shelby made the decision to install a 7.0 liter stock engine in the revised GT40s. Enter the Mark II GT40 performance era. In two seasons, the new GT40 became a strong contender on the track. In fact, this improved Mark II won the 24 Hours of the Le Mans 4 years straight, from 1965 to 1968. The ever-dissatisfied Ford was appeased; he had a gold, silver, and bronze medal to hang on his wall. This car has frequently been called the finest vehicle ever produced by Ford. <http://www.cobragt40.co.za/cobra.htm>
In one sense, it is a muscle bound monster with a super (model) car figure (without supercar precision). It is also a muscle car at the peak of its classification; factory fresh. Typically muscle cars accomplish that feat ex post facto (see AMG BLACK, Mopar/Allpar and Dom Toretto).
Designed after classic pony cars of the 1960s, the fastback roofline and trapezoidal rear windows echo 1965-66 Shelby Mustangs, and up front, the shark-like headlamps and grille suggest 1967-68 ponies. It is an inspired design that echoes glory days of the past in a contemporary design that will not feel out of place on the road. It's simple. People need a reason to get excited about Ford cars again.
The terminator engine was very advanced for its time. The engine was a 4.6 dual overhead cam v8. Sitting on top the engine was a supercharger. This was the first mustang in production to be powered by a supercharger. A supercharger is a system bolted on top of the motor connected to the throttle body. In a engine more air is key to more horsepower. This is so because oxygen is one of the biggest factors in combustion. Combustion is how a engine runs. With that being said a supercharger is a system that forces more air into the engine to make it faster. With all this going into the engine the car put out record stats. It was the first mustang to put out 390hp stock. It was said to be twice as fast as the previous years. Also with the designing of the engine the svt team took in account that this car would take lots of abuse and would eventually be automotive bigwhigs. In knowing this the team reinforced many things in the engine. The team added heavy duty rods, pistons, and a durable engine block. This made the car last a very long time with little
Sure, these supercars are flashy, hip and cool but only to a certain degree. When you
The first example, they highlighted that the “advanced design, engineering, and technology” made a significant role on the past successes. Thus, they are sustaining on this approach for further successes by continuing investment on the up-to-date knowledge which will be implemented into the entire processes in order to enhancing their capabilities and experiences. Specifically, to produce specialized vehicles have highest performance, minimal impact on the environment, and crossing the limits of their customers’ expectations in term of unique design and competitive
This 5.2l V8 gives me chills. I wake up to the sound of it in the morning, even though I wake up the whole neighborhood. My mother hates that I take it to work at 5 o’clock in the morning. She stumbles out of bet to hear a monstrous V8. I had no plans on getting one, but it was appealing to the eye as I was scrolling through Offer Up.
“The pace of our development and introduction of new and improved vehicles depends on our ability to implement successfully improved technological innovations in design, engineering, and manufacturing, which requires extensive capital investment.” Page 27
Attractiveness: they develop cars that are very attractive to the customers. They focus on both technology and design.
But back to the dream car, the embodiment of fancy, adorning a leather interior, unnecessary interior lights, top of the line dash clusters and head unit gadgets.
