Last night, both the seventh and eighth grade had good games. The final scores were 18-0 seventh grade and 50-6 8th. Overall, both teams did well against the Titans. The seventh grade played first. The 3 touchdowns they had were all scored by brody Pumneo, all of which were touchdown passes. The defense also had a big role in the score. The defensive line held off the Titans for the shutout and the backs read all of their keys. The offensive line held the Titans and was also a key part in the win. The eighth grade had a big win of 50-6, scored by Hunter Campbell, Max Kirby, and more. The 8th grade defensive and offensive line´s also had a key part in the win as well. The offensive line held the Titans and the defensive line penetrated and
In the first game they crushed the team that they faced but Jake got a concussion and couldn't play the next game. So Casey played and didn't do so well but the other team didn't either so it was tied 13-13. Casey did a short pass to the running back who was running a screen route to get a touchdown in overtime to win the game and their football team was going to the championship game. Jake was cleared to play so he got to play in the championship game.
The Patriots (26-15) tied the game in the sixth at 4, then a three-run blast by Bishop over the right-field wall put UT Tyler ahead 7-4. Bishop and the top five in the UT Tyler order accounted for nine of the 12 hits to support six-different pitchers in the win.
The game started out with Brady Carpenter moving the ball 18-yards on the games first play from scriommage, but he would be stripped by a defender and the ball was pounced on by,Sam Bending of Newark Catholic.
Newark Catholic won the toss and as they seem to do all the time, elected to take the ball. On the drive the Green Wave needed just six plays to go fifty-two-yards, to make this a,7-0 game. The drive ended when speedster Cameron Lewis going the final ten-yards. The point after kick by on again off again by senior kicker,Nathan Liesen
The Ely Tiger verses Dillard Panthers game was Friday night and the Ely Tigers won the game 14-10 when Donnell Wilson caught an “amazing” touchdown pass. But what really happened at the game? According to the witnesses, the game was amazing, but there were some people why didn’t see it that way. With the gathered information, the victory was something that was made out to be great, but it wasn’t skill that help win the game, it was luck.
A kick from Anderson started the game, not long after, QB Lucas Smith runs a 18yd touchdown, starting the game out with a 7-0 Turpin lead. The Redskins’ Kyle Blaha soon persevered through the unforgiving Turpin defense and ran a 2 yd touchdown, evening out the score out 7-7. “Our offense and defense did well, but there’s always room for improvement.” Coach Kenter explained after Turpin gave up 21 points in the first half. “But I think this was one of better games of the entire season, the team really brought it.” Second quarter brought both the Spartans and Redskins 2 new touchdowns each and an exciting 65 yard pass Turpin touchdown, Smith to Will Hausfeld. Halftime stopped the intense game at a suspenseful score of 21-21.
The game overall was nice a sight for the eyes. The Bills and Bengals both struggled offensively. Tyrod Taylor finished
The 6th grade team started out the afternoon of games, holding their own against Casey. The half-time score was Metcalfe 12 – Casey 16. Both teams struggled at the free throw line, but MCMS took the advantage at 35% hitting 7 of 16, while Casey hit 4 of 14 for 29%. However, Casey controlled the 2nd half in scoring and left Metcalfe behind. Metcalfe lost 12 to 30.
The next game was a little closer at a score of 12-6 win over the York B team
Thomas' 135-yard performance was one of the main reasons why Temple upset the Nittany Lions. The Penn State victory would be a launching pad not only for the Owls but for Thomas as well. Thomas went on to have five games of 100 plus rushing yards and scored a rushing touchdown in 10 straight games.
Belmont's offense was back at work at the 3:37 mark of the quarter with Young running for eighteen-yards. Young would be sacked on the drive by #17(not on either roster I have)for a short loss at the 1:36 mark of the quarter. The drive ended on a 39-yard pass from Young to a wide-opened Ja'don Rucker-furlow with :52 showing on the clock. This time it would be Dorrick Conner converting the conversion run to make this a,48-6
Matt Harris 5-10 / 200. The throw by quarterback, Brett Lowther 6-2 / 175 was spot on. The point after kick off the strong leg of Mark Shafer 6-1 / 150, made this a,7-0 game.
On the last drive of the game, Junior Dante Cecala converted on a fourth down to keep the Knights hope alive, but maybe the largest moment of the drive was a 36 yard throw from Drew to fellow senior, De'Angelo Roberson.
However, it was all defense from there on out. Tony Gibson's dawgs forced seven tackles for losses, broke up six passes and recovered a fumble in the red
With my eyes glued to the ball. Just waiting for the center to snap it to the quarterback I made sure my cleats were dug in and ready to go. As the center moved the ball I charged forward shoving the center out of the way and slamming my shoulder into the quarterback and taking him down before he had a chance to blink. After the play, there was time to think to myself about the past week, the events that had transpired, the important decision I had made, and about that one sunny day at practice.
