Because the success of an artist in gangsta rap often depends on street credibility and reputation, Interscope Records has sold 50 Cent as the "real deal". His mother was murdered in a drug deal. He has been shot, stabbed, and he built a large rap empire in New York City before ever signing a major record deal.

Tupac grew up in New York city. Tupac had to overcome many obstacles but a major obstacle he had to face was being arrested with sexual harassment t charges. He also spent time in jail because he was accused of assaulting a director. Instead of people inspiring him, tupac’s lyrics was actually inspired by the hard lifestyle he grew up on. Many people would look up to him because of his very real music. Many people
copies, and I want that so badly, but I can't do that. I would be wrong to do that, knowing what I know and having the brain that I have, for me to even go and write some simple *censored* would be wrong even though I would get paid and I would get more people's money." (Patrick, Tony, n.p.) This means that Tupac has a strong will and values. He resisted the temptation to write some easy rhyming words and get peoples money. He instead followed his values and worked
During his early years he dropped out of high school and was a drug dealer for some years. He was good friends with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. As Akshen, he recorded a single called “Scarface” in 1989 for Troy`s Short Stop Records, a label which was centered in Houston. Following that release, he joined the rap group Ghetto Boys, after one member left them. He managed to release an album through the group for a record label called Rap-a-Lot, “Grip it! On That Other Level” also in 1989. This album turned to be a major commercial success, and acquired him a fan base, regardless of the violent lyrics of the songs and an Mtv radio ban. After the album, he changed his name to Scarface; he took the name from the 1983 film “Scarface”. In 1991 he released the first album under his new name, called “Mr. Scarface is Back”. With this album, being extremely good accepted by public, his fame grew and eventually outshined the group, Ghetto Boys. Although his fame grew more and more, with every album next released, he stayed in the group. Needless is to say that his net worth also was boosted through the selling of the albums. All this peaked in 2001, when he received an award for Lyricist of the Year at Source Awards. It is also worth to mention that Scarface became coordinator and president of Def Jam South

Today we will be talking about the t.v. show "power", it's a very popular tv show on Starz, supposedly it's being watched all around the world. A guy name 50 cent owns the television show he also uses to be a rapper, I believe he made that show to show people what it's like to have power, but the kind of mobster power. In the same fashion that Elvis defined Rock ‘n’ Roll; Tupac Shakur defined the hip-hop music scene, as we know it today. What made Tupac (also known as 2Pac, or Makaveli) so special were his enormous talent, his on screen friendly looks, and the sense that he was “real” and talked the talk, while walking the walk. Tupac was born on June 16, 1971, Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was named after Tupac Amaru, the Inca Indian that was sentenced to death by the Spaniards. He was originally from Brooklyn, New York. Tupac spent a lot of time moving around as he was growing up. He was the son of a Black Panther activist Afeni Shakur and Billy Garland. Tupac moved from Harlem, to Baltimore, to Oakland. A couple of weeks ago founder of Bad Boy Records Puff Daddy posted a couple of videos of rappers such as Fabolous, Pusha T, Jadakiss, TIP, & more spitting some classic verses of his late friend & hip hop legend The Notorious B.I.G. on Instagram in memory of his passing on March 9th, 1997. Seeing those videos was just another reminder of why one of Brooklyn's finest finds his way into a plethora of Top 5 MC's list. Though the 20th anniversary of Biggie's death is not the only thing we remember about him this month. This Saturday on March 25th marks 20 years since the release of his second & final studio album "Life After Death," a hip hop classic that showed the growth in his artistry & would strengthen the legendary MC's legacy to last decades

After a friend introduced him to the owners of Cash Money Records, he pestered them by leaving rap songs on the owners’ answering machines until they finally would give him a chance. The owners, Bryan “Birdman” or “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams signed him to their record label when he was 12 going by the name of Gangsta D. The owners were impressed by his freestyle abilities. Birdman really liked the young Carter and took him under his wing so to speak and became his mentor. Many people mistakenly believe that Birdman is Lil Wayne’s father and they are additionally confused by the fact that Lil Wayne also refers to Birdman as his dad and pa, but there is actually no relation. The first album released with Cash Money Records was in 1995 when the producer, Mannie Fresh, teamed Dwayne with a 14 year old named B.G. The album was called True Story. In 1997 there was supposed to be a follow up album; however his mom tried to put a stop to his association with Cash Money Records after she noticed him wearing gang related clothes, but Dwayne ran away. He took his stepfather’s gun with him and accidentally shot himself. He was taken to the hospital and questioned by police. He admitted stealing his stepfather’s gun. This landed Rabbit in jail for having an unregistered handgun. Sadly, a short time after Rabbit was released from jail he was kidnapped and killed.
In almost every book you read, you will find that someone always has to go on some sort of journey or quest (Rice). If you examine each quest closely, you will notice that they are all very similar (Rice). When things are used repeatedly like that, they are said to have an archetypal pattern (Rice). The quest on which all these heroes go on is referred to as the archetypal quest (Rice). “The Wizard of Oz” focuses on a small-town girl living in Kansas. “The Epic of Gilgamesh” focuses on an arrogant king who rules the city of Uruk. The Wizard of Oz and The Epic of Gilgamesh were written 5000 years apart, but they both contain the elements that make them archetypal quests.
Tupac then joined the rap group, Digital Underground, as a dancer. Shortly before the group received award-winning success, Tupac released his own album, "2Pacalypse Now," which was a great success. His hit single, "Brenda's Got A Baby," sky-rocketed his career. His remarkable talent got him a role in the motion picture "Juice." Eventually he released his second album, "Strictly For My N.I.G.G.A.Z.," which was even a bigger hit and introduced his music to the pop charts.
