The article, 12 Things You Didn’t Know About John and Yoko’s Relationship by therichest, is about one of the most famous power couples of all time, John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Lennon and Ono were always together, an act which many Beatles fans believe to have been at least a huge, if not the contributing factor in the breakup of the band. She was such a permanent presence, Lennon had a bed brought into the studio after Ono suffered a traffic accident in 1969, so she could still attend recording sessions while she laid and recovered from her injuries. Somewhat to his surprise, Lennon has gone on the record saying that the press and fans in the UK were not very receptive to his marriage of Yoko Ono. Ono funded several memorials after the death
People believe that in 1966 Paul McCartney died of a car accident. How is this even a conspiracy theory when McCartney is alive and well. The believers of this theory say, The Beatles hired a lookalike to play McCartney so they would keep their star status. The lookalike is named William Campbell. This theory started up once the album Abbey Road was released in 1969.
Did you know that many people blame Yoko Ono for breaking up the Beatles? This is actually not true , Paul McCartney actually defended Yoko Ono saying she was not the reason of the break up.The Beatles broke up because of a new manager and business practice, their manager Brian Epstein died, and they just started to not get along.
There have been many people, known as artists, who have tried to change the world through their art. “Art” can be paintings, music, dances, sculptures, literature, or photography. There are many ways to communicate and express ones feelings but The Beatles did it through their popular music. Although they didn’t focus on changing the world of politics or try to protest through their music they have songs that focus on those exact two things.
While John Lennon might not be known as the greatest singer or songwriter, he continues to be one of the most influential artists in and out of the music industry. His musicality is practically unmatched, he has influenced an entirely new generation of musicians, and he protested and fought for peace to be recognized in the world. His artistry, talent, and genuine positive outlook on life are what make him one of the most admired artists in music history.
After him and his wife Yoko Ono were married, they took their two week honeymoon at the presidential suite at the Hilton Amsterdam on March 25, 1969. Lennon referred to this protest as his “Bed-In for Peace” (Lifton). The press was invited into their hotel room for 12 hours each day to observe, learn, and ask questions about Lennon and Ono’s participation in the anti-war peace movement. Before the press had arrived, the press had completely different expectations than Lennon and Ono. When the press had arrived, Lennon and Ono were dressed in their pajamas, prepared to talk about their position on the on-going Vietnam War. During these two weeks of protesting, was also the time when Lennon and Ono recorded and released the song Give Peace a Chance, which, as said before, became an important part of their activist careers. A lot of people might look at “the idea of sitting in bed for a week and letting your hair grow for peace remains undoubtedly silly, the couple admitted the absurdity was part of the plan” (Lifton). If this were any ordinary people, it would not have had such an effect on the press, or society, but since John Lennon was previously a very well known musician, he was able to use his fame to his advantage. This allowed him to lure in the paparazzi to publicize the event. Lennon confronted unfair conditions unlike anyone else, due to his fame from being a member of the

One of the most influential groups of the 20th Century—the Beatles revolutionized rock and roll into what we know it as today. "There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing," said Howard Zinn. John Lennon was a down to earth person who made this world a bit more pleasant without trying. His time on earth was cut short, but he lives in the hearts of the ones he's moved. The murder of John Lennon was tragic day for everyone. Although examining art requires a huge knowledge, my intention in this essay is to analyze a piece of art, besides lyrics and the context, I’m going to examine it by following the steps presented by Alain de Botton.
America in the 50’s and early 60’s was a conservative country having recently been involved in World War II and the Korean war, and now facing the rising tide of communism. Americans were missing that little bit of excitement in their lives and people were very inhibited. They needed an outlet to let their suppressed feelings out. Then came four lads from England that would soon shock the world, who called themselves the Beatles. The Beatles in the 1960’s positively impacted America by changing the music industry and American youth culture, so that young people became more politically involved, freethinking, and independent. The Beatles legacy continues to affect society today by giving the young people a voice to be heard and influencing the way they live and view society today.
