The American Colonies wanted to break away from Britain and they did this by using a waging war. The colonists thought of the King of Britain as an unfit ruler who made poor decisions.
There’s no doubt about it—there is a certain agony to writing. Steven King was famously an alcoholic for much of his life, and the careers of many a tortured writer have ended in suicide. Of course, these were extreme cases, and I’m not suggesting that you will suffer from death or addiction should you choose to become a writer yourself. That’s because the same thing that makes writing frequently frustrating is also what makes it worth doing. The power to manifest ideas, to persuade, to argue, to inspire—these can be the source of both joy and despair.

The book of 1 Samuel, a part of the Old Testament, sparks the dawn of the United Kingdom of Israel by telling of its first king, Saul. Samuel is one of the first talked about pre-literary prophets in the bible perhaps because he anointed the first king of the United Kingdom. He is a prophet by definition because he possessed the ability to converse with the almighty Yahweh. Samuel and Saul are key players to the rise of the kingdom but Saul runs into trouble and disobeys God, which leads him to his own inevitable demise.
Through the rule of King James as he was pursuing the union of Scotland and England, Shakespeare’s tragedy appears to be reflective upon his political project. In “King Lear” it seems to be reflective with his theory of Britain, the kings understandment of evils, and the similarities in how the kinds reacted to anything that seemed to have evil power.
Family issues and bonds are a very big problem in many lives today. Lots of kids have witnessed other family members arguing all the time. It might be at a family dinner when a mom starts bickering with her daughter or at home with a husband and wife quarrelling over what to watch on tv. In William Shakespeare's play, King Lear, he displays the struggles with family bonds through a dark and tragic story. Shakespeare portrays this through all of decisions and deaths along the way. King Lear is beneficial and should be read by people today because it teaches us about family bonds and trust through the themes of betrayal, greed, and love.
