ABA 634: SAFMEDS - WEEK 1

Data Analysis:
Figure 1.1 displays acquisition accel and decel data collected for the week of May 30
th – June 3
rd
, while studying Acquisition Deck 1 of the SAFMEDS for ABA 634. Based off of this week's data, for Acquisition Deck 1, I observe a dramatic increase trend in acquisition accel, at a high level, with low variability and a dramatic decrease trend in acquisition decel, with low variability, at a low level. Figure 2.1 displays fluency accel and decel data collected for the week of May 30
th – June
3
rd
, while studying Fluency Deck “D” for SAFMEDS trials for ABA 634. For Fluency Deck D, I observe a steady increase trend in fluency accel, at a high level, with low variability and a steady zero trend in fluency decel, with no variability, at a low level. Study Approach & Adjustments:
Antecedent: I start both my acquisition and fluency trials when I wake up. I begin with one round of studying my acquisition deck, followed by 1 round of trials. I replicate this process for the fluency deck. Before I leave for work, I study my acquisition deck the second time and run my second acquisition trial. At lunch, I study and run my third acquisition trial. Upon arriving home, I study and run trials for my acquisition deck, followed by my fluency deck. Finally, before bed, I study and run trials final trials for both my acquisition deck and my fluency
deck. I study my acquisition cards, reading them slowly to myself in my head, for memorization, and then move on to rapid fire testing with vocalization of the answers, in order to emulate how the trials are run. In addition, I devote 5-15 minutes to studying decel answers. This week, I studied the fluency deck 5 times this week and acquisition deck 5 times this week, directly before running trials. This week, I devoted 30 minutes to studying the acquisition SAFMEDS and 30 minutes of studying the fluency SAFMEDS, on Tuesday – Saturday. However, I did not

5
study the new acquisition deck on Wednesday, the first day of trials, in order to take baseline data.
I use the same study implementations, implemented from ABA 630 and ABA 632, based off the theory that they were successful, due to my previous increase trends, high levels, low variability, and high-test scores. I utilize my previous implementations of a secure work station, organization to my study space and materials such as, an ABA 634 folder, printed assignments and notes, organizational tabs, drawers for materials, and color-coding card stock for each new course set of SAFMEDS. In addition, I utilize a Task Analysis intervention to further combat and
prevent burnout and procrastination.
Last week I added the content portion of ABA 634, to a Task Analysis. With the help of my task analysis, I was able to manage my time, spend time with
my children, and get my assignments done on time, however, I broke my phone and was unable to access my OKTA confirmation info and was unable to access the school website for several day. Not to mention, my partner broke his ankle last week and his job. Although I planned ahead,
technology can sometimes fail. I divided the content portion of ABA 634 into parts or tasks for each assignment. Each assignment was broken down into 3-6 tasks. I began utilizing a Task Analysis when I realized that I needed to allot more time for my own children, self-care and work. My reinforcement plan for this week was a visual schedule, which produced negative reinforcement, from checking off my to-do list for ABA 634, in my ABA 634 folder. My second reinforcement plan is positive reinforcement, in which, after completing a trial set, I reward myself 10 -15 minutes on Facebook or TikTok to unwind. Behavior
: My trials consist of 5 rounds of rapidly vocally tacting SAFMEDS card terms, within 30 second timed intervals. I ran acquisition trials 5 times a day, 5 days a week. I
ABA 634: SAFMEDS - WEEK 1
6
ran fluency trials 3 times a day, 5 days a week. This week I began my trials on Tuesday and ended my trials on Saturday. In addition, I did not study the new acquisition deck on Tuesday, in order to utilize my trials to take baseline data on the new deck.
Consequence: By the end of this week, I reached an accel of 14 and decel of 0, for the acquisition deck, and an accel of 15 and decel of 0 for fluency. I recorded my last trial entry on Saturday, for both my fluency decks and my acquisition deck. I reached 14 accel and 0 decel for my acquisition deck, which meets the designated AIM of 14 and a 366.66% increase from Monday’s baseline. In addition, I reached 15 accel and 0 decel for my acquisition deck, which is 7.14% above the designated AIM of 14. This week, I have increased my correct responses beyond the designated AIM of 14 accel, within 30 seconds. I am maintaining a stable decel of 0, with low variability. In other words, when running trials, I am surpassing my AIM, maintaining the AIM level and vocalizing 100% accurate responses and 0% incorrect responses.
My goal for this week was to reach 14 accel for the acquisition deck and 16 accel for the fluency deck. This week, I was successful in reaching my goal for the acquisition deck but just short of my goal for the fluency deck. However, I observed steady increase trends, at a high-levels, with low variabilities for both fluency accel and acquisition accel. Therefore, I did not find it necessary to implement an intervention throughout the course of the week. Adjustments: For next week, I will implement my task analysis to the assignments in the content portion of ABA 634 for Week 2, in order to increase my accuracy, efficiency, and combat any procrastination. Next week, I will increase my studying time for both the acquisition and fluency deck, in order to increase my accuracy and my increase my levels. In addition, I will continue to add more organization to my study locations and materials. In summation, I will

• Choose one condition for your discussion post about an uninsured group. (For

For your discussion board post include all of the following:
1. Suppose six individuals, within your criteria, are randomly selected. Show or explain
your thinking for each problem. (Note: This is a binomial probability from Section 5.2,
they either have insurance or they do not.)
A. Let having insurance be a success. State the values of your p, q, and n for your
chosen condition. Explain your thinking. (For my example, if 22% do not have
insurance, then that is my q (failure) value, my p=0.78, q=0.22, n-6 (6 individuals are
randomly selected in this problem).
