the beginning of 2 Chronicles 26. He highlights the blessings Uzziah received because of his
faithfulness to God such as the development of innovated and effective weaponry.

This commentary gives a very analytical perspective on 2 Chronicles. For example, they
offer reasons and explanations for why certain people are in this particular section of the Bible,
while being silent from other sections of the Old Testament. The commentary is also very
scholarly.

Thompson gives an excellent perspective on 2 Chronicles. Not only does he give an
exegesis of the text, but he also gives perspectives of other commentors. Thomson focuses on
