Jena Suh PSY 2000-01 10/5/23 Written Assignment 1: Banana Flavored Taste Test We set up the taste test but put our company's soda in both bottles so that whatever the participant chooses, ours will always be chosen. We add an addictive supplement to our soda so that the participants will choose ours. We can water down our competitor's soda so that it doesn’t taste well before the taste test. When the participant drinks our soda, the tester will remain silent but when they drink the competitor's soda, the tester will sneeze or cough to associate or distract the participant. When they choose ours, we give them a gift or a prize so that they can associate our company with pleasure. If the data favors our soda, we can manipulate the graphs to visually display how much disparity there is between what the participants chose. For example, when making the bar graph, have the y axis present with greater disparity so that it shows that our company is favored dominantly. When having the taste test, have the participants eat better cooked food with our beverage and have the competitor’s beverage be taken with less prepared cooked food. When a participant is a male, have an attractive female serve him with our company’s beverage and when he is done, have another male serve him with our competitor’s beverage. If the participant is a female, do this vice versa.
