2-1 Report: Analysis of PESTLE Forces 1 Having a clear and concise understanding of the external factors effecting an organization are known as PESTLE forces, Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal factors are critical for implementing strategic planning within an organization. PESTLE analysis can be applied to help identify opportunities and threats that can be adjusted and changed based on the organizational strategic plan. The following will focus on social and technological factors and their influences on the organization. Social Factor Social factors have a significant influence on the organizational workforce in the United States. Social factors include influences from colleagues, family, friends, neighbors, and social media. These influences may impact attitudes and interests. When reviewing the U.S. Branch overview it demonstrates a escalated turnover rate due to inadequate organizational training, poor leadership, lack of growth plans, poor employee morale, and lack of organizational communication (SNHU, 2023) . When reviewing turnover rates, aged employees are more inclined to commit to the organization for the long haul compared to younger employees are the majority of the higher turnover rates. The high turnover rates make it difficult for the organization to develop and cultivate a social environment within the organizations U.S. location. The organization must implement changes aimed at improving the organizational culture while also reducing the overall turnover rate among younger employees. Research shows that with a high turnover rate among younger employees, data indicates mid to senior level employees maintain their positions longer than seven years. Leadership needs to focus on employee engagement to ensure employees feel included and heard in decision making processes. By having leadership that focuses on communication, leadership is able to foster a culture that is both confident and motivating while embracing strategic planning changes to the U.S. location. Effective leadership will create and foster an engaging and positive workplace culture. Technological Factors
2-1 Report: Analysis of PESTLE Forces 2 Technological factors have the ability to influence changes within the organization just as social factors. According to Roe, “the biggest concern with the digital workplace today is that the technology is moving faster than peoples capacity to learn and keep up. Machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) offer an opportunity for organizations to capitalize on employee needs by learning behaviors” (Roe, 2019) . Based on the US Branch overview, technology plays an essential role in the strategic change within the organization. This change requires employees to buy-in and accept change as technology continues to innovate and organizations become more reliant. Although employees have ever changing technology, employees continue to feel they have been inadequately trained. To help combat workforce shortages, automation has been implemented to help grow employees career paths and create additional opportunities for education and training. The key is to personalize the approach by choosing the most appropriate and effective communication channels and content for each employee audience, without irrelevant communication. While leadership spend significant amounts of time and money communicating change, they miss out on opportunities to engage with employees (Roe, 2019) . By providing more opportunities for advancement, technology can help reduce organizational turnover. Technology has required employees and organizations to adapt as technology adapts and advances (Roe, 2019) .
