Site Location: Jones and Bartlett Lab 9, on the remote connection of TargetWindows02.
Identification (Type and How Detected): Was instructed to perform a scan using AVG
business security anti malware program.
Virus scan Detected: KEYCOPY.COM (DOS/Keycopy/TrojanSpy)
Triage (Impact): It only effected the device TargetWindows02
Containment (Steps Taken): I ran a scan with AVG Business Security anti malware, where it then quarantined all malware found.
Investigation (Cause): Prompted to do so for the lab.
Recovery and Repair (Resolution): I used AVG to quarantine and eradicate the malware that was precent on TargetWindows02, limiting the scope of what the malware has access to.
Lessons Learned (Debriefing and Feedback): Learned how to quarantine using AVG and how to perform a Security Incident Report.
