Personal Reflection By the end of the term, my team is expected to complete Deliverables A-J on time, and to the best of their abilities. My team will also work with a client to create a proof of concept, 3-D model, the code, and final model of the painting assist. Our team will reach these goals by doing the following: a) Create a business model for the potential product b) Use the client meeting to create a problem statement, and design criteria. ¢) Create a list of ranked target specifications, and do technical product benchmarking. d) Create conceptual designs, and begin to brainstorm how the code will work for the paint assist system. ¢) Use these concepts to highlight important sub-systems. f) Create a detailed design, containing the highlight subsystems. g) Create a Bill of Materials, and List of Equipment used, to determine project costs. h) Create a prototyping test plan that highlights the “why”, “what”, “how”, and “when” of the tests. i) Have a second client meeting and revise the previous prototyping test plan, and proof of concept (if needed). j) Create a prototyping test plan for the second test model. k) Revise the Bill of Materials and List of Equipment if needed. 1) Create a project presentation. m) Create a User Manual. Weekly in person check-ins, and group task designations via text message will also be implemented to ensure that each member has had a chance to look over the rubric, and understands their role for the project. Each member is expected to reference the rubric, and complete their work two days before the due date, in order to allow for adequate time to proofread before submission. Each team member is also expected to communicate as soon as possible with the group, via text message, if there are any changes that need to be made, or if they are unable to complete their section of the group work. Group success will be achieved when all team members have a good understanding of the objectives and purpose of each assignment. By the end of this term, group members should have a strong understanding of the engineering design process, and will have completed deliverables A-J while effectively working together with other members. Concise plans will be used to attain this success, however the group will continue to add more guidelines if they are agreed upon and contribute to the group's overall performance. After taking GNG1103, I have realized that my strengths lie in writing team deliverables, and orchestrating the team. I have become very good at analyzing rubrics, and creating deliverables that have scored 90%+.
My objectives for the term go as follows: 1. This term, I will use my writing skills to proof-read for each deliverable for the team, and cross check it with each rubric. 2. Iwill use my organizational skills to send out deliverable task designations for each deliverable. 3. Iwill send reminders for individual submissions to the group, via our group chat. 4. I will work closely with Hanna to develop the CAD models for this project, as she is very experienced in CAD.
