Technology has a great impact on the world. Computers, phones, tablets, television are some common technologies that we use every day. An important form of technology that can change the way we use electricity has been introduced to the world. They are solar panels and wind turbines. Solar panels turn sunlight into electricity. Wind turbines can turn wind into kinetic energy that can be used as electric power. The importance of wind turbines and solar panels is to improve energy. Energy can now be conducted from sunlight and wind via the proper technology. Thinking about solar panels and wind turbines, I have some existing knowledge on what makes them operate. Energy and power, and electricity is how we use common technology such as lights, television, laptops. Solar panels can utilize sunlight and create energy to power our technologies such as lights, television, etc. Wind turbines work somewhat the same. Wind turbines collect wind and transform wind into kinetic energy. In 1883, The first solar panel was invented by Charles Fritts. He created a panel with a coated thin layer of selenium with an extremely thin layer of gold. Later in 1964, NASA launched their first solar PV array into space. This was a special day to introduce solar power/energy to the world. In 1887, Charles Brush invented the wind turbine. That turbine created energy which converted to electricity to power his home. In 1975, NASA developed a program specifically for wind energy known as the Wind Turbine Program. This program was a big milestone for wind turbines and their knowledge. Shortly after this program was created the United States created a wind farm to power over 4,000 homes. Solar panels and wind turbines have an economic and cultural impact on the world. Solar panels and wind turbines help provide clean and sustainable energy that can be converted. It also helps improve the air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Solar panels are both on earth and sent in space by NASA. To create wind turbines and solar panels it requires great knowledge of solar energy and kinetic energy. In creating the solar panels, a layer of silicon receives a negative charge on the top and through the inclusion of phosphorus. Then at the bottom pieces of silicon get a dose of boron to create a positive charge. When photons from sunlight hit the solar panel, it allows for the electrons from the phosphorus that are free, and an electrical charge is created. However, wind turbines are not in space but can convert energy to power. The blades on wind turbines collect kinetic energy from the wind. On a wind turbine there are blades that are connected to a shaft drive. When the blades capture wind, it causes the blades to turn and turn. The drive shaft turns an electric generator producing electricity. Electricity is then distributed as well as energy. These forms of technology are not the world’s commonly used technology. However, the impact that solar panels and wind turbines is not done yet. Solar panels have come so far since the 1970’s. Solar panels are not only in space, but you can find solar panels on street speed meters, cameras, even on houses. Solar panels power emits virtually no pollution into the air, and thus solar energy is much cleaner than the burning of fossil fuels. Which allows for clean air. Wind turbines can be noisy, which is why they are not found directly near cities and towns. However, they can help generate energy throughout a city/ town. There is so much to learn about with solar panels and wind turbines. These forms of technology can help produce clean air, energy, and pollution. Technology has evolved over the years. In 1883 solar panels were invented. This led to many different theories of solar power over the years. Solar satellites and solar panels have become a big project with NASA. NASA soon launched a program for solar satellites. The overall success of solar satellites led to more thought and work on solar panels. Solar power has

become the fastest-growing electricity source in the U.S., representing 54% of generation projects planned for 2023. The technology of my choice is solar (power) energy. Solar panels allow sunlight to power generators which can convert to electricity. The science of solar energy not only introduced solar panels but solar satellites. Solar power has become very popular around the world especially in the United States. Its special way of converting sunlight into electricity has made it easier for clean air. Soon by 2026 solar power would be a great impact globally surpassing natural gas. Solar panels have been installed on homes, businesses, hospitals, etc. Technology is a big part in the making of solar energy. Special generators, silicone, and thermal power technologies help develop solar panels. Photovoltaics and concentrating solar- thermal power capture the radiation that the sun gives off and turns it into useful forms of energy. Solar panels are equipped with energy transmitting satellites that collect high intensity and uninterrupted solar radiation. It does this by using giant mirrors to help reflect large amounts of solar rays onto smaller solar collectors. Thus, producing solar energy. Solar power has made an impact on earth and in space. NASA uses solar energy for not only satellites but for other technologies that are used throughout space. One program that solar power has benefited from is the DART program from NASA. The DART program is a planetary defense system of technologies for preventing a hazardous asteroid from impacting Earth. The DART spacecraft’s solar panels needed to be low-cost and low mass while being capable of powering the propulsion system. This system allows for the protection of earth from asteroids. Solar power is evolving and becoming frequently seen over the world. I chose this topic because of the importance of solar energy. I feel the most important impact solar energy has had on the world is clean air and the DART program. Clean air impacts the environment and allows for air pollution to subside and decrease. Solar energy has the potential to improve and thrive globally.
Solar power is a reliable source of energy because it is renewable, it is economical, and it does not pollute the environment. Solar power is becoming very popular in everyday life. Solar power can be found on houses, generators, landforms, and even in space. Solar satellites and solar panels have become a big project with NASA. NASA soon launched a program for solar satellites. Solar power is a reliable source of energy because it is renewable, it is economical, and it does not pollute the environment. The overall success of solar satellites led to more thought and work on solar panels. Solar power has become the fastest-growing electricity source in the U.S. representing 54% of generation projects planned for 2023. Solar power has made a strong impact on education. The science behind solar power has made it efficient for technology to improve and be useful on and off earth. NASA has contributed specific scientists and programs just focused on the importance of solar power. Solar panels on school and university rooftops can result in significant energy savings. They can save as much as 75% of a school’s or institution’s current electricity consumption and improve health by reducing pollutants in the air, according to a new study appearing in Environmental Research Letters. Hospitals, universities, schools, institutions are using solar panels frequently. The usage of solar panels helps save the environment and keep costs low. Hospitals and institutions utilize solar PV. Solar PV has the potential to provide significant benefits to hospitals and other healthcare facilities by reducing overall costs and improving patient experience at the hospital. The usage of solar power can create its own backup power if power was to go out. Hospitals that use solar energy can run their technology during a power outage. The impacts on the lives it can save during an outage can be phenomenal.
Solar energy can have some limitations that can affect technology. Solar panels are great forms of saving energy and the environment. Solar energy can be limited if the proper technology is not used. Solar PV benefits are critical to the technology that is needed to observe solar energy. In some parts of the world solar panels are not as beneficial due to the lack of sunlight. Overall, the usage of solar energy can have a greater impact on the earth and the environment by clean energy and less pollution in the air. Solar power is a reliable source of energy because it is renewable, it is economical, and it does not pollute the environment. Air pollution has been caused mainly by humanization. The wonderful idea behind solar power is less air pollution and more clean air. Technology has come so far since the first wind turbine and solar panel. Solar energy has been useful and changed the way space is viewed through technology. Solar energy is energy developed from the sun. The use of solar energy has its technical limitations. Limitations that technology has on solar panels can affect how solar panels are used. Without the proper amount of sunlight, the solar panel cannot generate its energy. Thus, not being able to create electricity via solar panels. Before solar panels are placed on facilities, homes, schools, universities, hospitals it’s good to ensure that the building receives enough sunlight. If the building does not receive enough sunlight, they should reconsider if solar panels are beneficial for that building. Developers could do an analyzation of the building’s sunlight radius. They can also partner with a tree cut/removal company for small adjustments. The beliefs of solar panels are that they are affordable, low cost, good in all-weather types, and can go on any roof. Solar panels costs can vary depending on the state and county. The cost of solar panels also depends on the square feet of where the solar panels will be placed. However, the cost of solar panels is worth it because of the annual cost you can save compared to

actual electric and natural gas. Weather plays a factor in the energy generation of solar panels. Since solar panels require a direct source of sunlight cloudy, rainy, snowy days can cause a dramatic decrease in energy production. Solar panels don’t generate energy at night. This means you would need a backup generator for night power. The beliefs and assumptions of solar panels are biased yet some fact based. Theres a population that believes solar panels are just a phase and will pass others believe that solar panels are going to thrive past natural gas. Positive impacts on analyzation of solar panels are beneficial. The efficiency can be improved when analyzing the performance of the solar panels. Areas that need improvement and assistance could be found and identified throughout the analyzation process. The cost increase and reduction could be found in the analyzation of the solar panels as well. The price of materials, labor, and manufacturing could help identify the actual cost of solar panels. The use of technology has been adapted in the lives of so many individuals because of its easy access. Technology such as cell phones, TVs, laptops, tablets, care commonly used technology that is used in everyday life. Some strategies that I would use are based on values. When considering solar panels for your property you must see the value of technology. Looking over the overall cost, the purpose, and the beneficial aspects behind solar panels before a decision is made for installation. Solar panels’ values can vary from person to person. Therefore, research on the values, cost, and overall impact is a great strategy before pursuing any newfound technology. Technology has shaped the earth and many forms. It’s evolving daily and improving. There are new forms of technology each day. Critically analyzing the role of solar energy in various events has informed my framework of perception. Solar energy is the technology that has changed the way we create energy, electricity, and control pollution. Nasa uses solar power
satellites and solar energy in the DART program. Solar energy has made an impact on the world by its unique system in transformation and energy. The impact that solar energy has on the world has tailored my perception of technology and the environment. Being that solar energy has greater visions and impacts on the world, however the technology that produces solar energy has limited access. This creates a negative perception of solar energy and solar energy usage. Analyzing and examining my biases has also changed the way I view technology. Wind turbines generate kinetic energy and solar panels generate solar energy; both can transform their energy into electricity. One is much louder and holds a higher population rate. However, solar panels only generate energy when the sun is out. I am biased towards solar panels due to their ability to generate an exceptional amount of energy into electricity which can lower rate cost. Looking back at my reflection I can adhere to being biased towards this form of technology. Realizing the bias perception, I have openly done more research on wind turbines and their usage. Examining and analyzing the purpose of solar energy can influence my field of study by saving energy, creating clean air due to less air pollution. My field of study is health and human services. Solar energy can influence this field by saving, storing, and providing electricity through a cleaner way. Some universities in the United States have adapted to using solar panels on their campus. This helps the environment by producing clean air and energy. It’s critical to analyze how technology plays its role in events. Thus, analyzation can encourage and influence individuals to not be biased against all technology. The views of technology can affect the way it’s used throughout the world. Critically analyzing a technology’s role in an event has informed my individual framework of perception by making me aware of certain biases. It also shows me what’s influenced in my field of study.
The views of technology are based on the humanity lens which have altered the way I view technology today. Critically analyzing a technology’s role has encouraged me to be more focused, conspicuous, and open to information about technology. My views on technology are altered to the way technology is used throughout the world. I viewed the world as lazy because the use of technology has made people less active. For example, people would rather use a tablet or watch television than read a book. My bias view is based on certain technologies that are commonly used in everyday life. Technology is now evolving and shaping the form of life. After viewing technology in all general lenes, I’m able to see why technology is important. Technology is somewhat involved in every field of study. In the medical field technology plays a big part in running the hospital. Everything that medical professionals used from an EKG test to an MRI machine, Its all technology. Technology has been great in the medical field. Studying technology can expand my knowledge of technology. For example, I would have to study technology in the medical field to properly use it. I feel that studying technology will show me a more in-depth reason why technology is important. My analysis would have been different if I viewed technology for a different general lens. I was to view technology from a scientific lens, my view would be although technology is now saving lives with vaccines, and chemo it’s also displaying a less active life because of tablets, video games, and television. Most people would prefer to watch Tv than enjoy the outdoors. Most people would prefer to drive a car than walk. Solar energy can help provide electricity and assist with clear air. The views on solar energy are based on financial and humanity perspectives. Analyzing solar energy can inform the world on what solar energy brings to the table. Most people don’t look at the background

information for solar energy or any technology. The way technology is viewed by people is based on how this technology will be beneficial. People would need to do more research on technology to find its true purpose. Informal interactions can give the world the purpose of technology. Allowing people to make decisions based on information and not solely on costs. Technology is important and continues to become more in depth with research and machinery. The development of artificial intelligence has shown the world what technology can do. The more information on technology that humanity has can change the way technology is viewed all over the world.
