Do no harm is one of the essential practical application used in the field of healthcare and it is applicable for doctors, nurses and all paramedical professionals. It focusses on helping the patient or client without harming them in any way possible.
Do not harm can be defined as the humanitarian approach towards the patients to cause minimal harm to the patient while the patient is going through any medical procedure or even the basic care procedure. It is an essential part of the Hippocratic oath taken by medical professionals as they graduate. This concept applies to all medical professionals globally. The medical professionals are not allowed to harm the patient in any way and in fact during the invasive procedures, minimalist harm should be caused to the patient. This is expected to e strictly followed by the healthcare workers to provide effective care to the patient.
