To develope certain experiment skills, such as working safely, producing valid results, recording results and drawing valid conclusions from results.

The snail is allowed to acclimatize to its new surroundings for a few minutes and its acclimatization is indicated when its head has fully-emerge from its shell.
2. A clean cotton wool bud is dampened with water.
3. Between the eye stalks the snail is firmly touched with the dampened cotton wool bud and the stopwatch is immediately started. The length of time between the touch and the snail being fully emerged from its shell once again, with its eye stalks fully extended is measured.
4. As soon as the eye stalks fully reappeared, steps 3 to 5 is repeated for a total of 10 touches, and how long the snail takes to re-emerge each time is timed.
5. The results is recorded in a suitable table and presented in an appropriate graph.

DISCUSSION
From the graph, we can see that the snail showed the habituation response towards stimulus. During the first touch, the time taken for the snail’s both eyes to fully re-emerge was 26 s. The duration of time taken continue to decrease as the number of touches received
The solutions are 0% sucrose, 10% sucrose, 20% sucrose, 30% sucrose, 40% sucrose and an unknown sucrose concentration. We then weighed each egg separately to the nearest gram in order to have an initial starting weight to compare to the results throughout our experiment being conducted. The eggs were then placed in each beaker for 12 intervals at a time. After every 12 minutes the eggs were taken out and weighed to see if the weight of the egg changed. With a total of five intervals (12, 24, 36, 48, 60) the steps were repeated till the egg had reached the total time of 60 minutes. The changes in weight of the eggs were then added into a data table showing the weight of the chicken eggs in grams vs. the time in minutes. Wet and Dry Environments To find whether Pill bugs gravitate toward a wet or a dry experiment, two coffee filters were cut to the size of the petri dish and placed inside, however one was dampened before being placed on the bottom. Dirt was then added on top to promote a more realistic environment and five Pill bugs were placed in each side before starting to prevent bias on an environment. A log was taken every thirty (30) seconds for ten (10) minutes on how many bugs were in each chamber and a graph was then made to show the changes of the bugs' positions over time. Again, if a Pill bug was in the transgression tunnel he was determined to be in a dish by the direction he was moving or the way it's head was facing.

Biologists Robin Seeley conducted an experiment in which she gathered periwinkle snail shells on Appledore Island and measures their thickness. The time period in which she has found the snails was before the inhabitation of the European green crab. Eighty years later, the shell thickness of the snails were measured again and recorded. This time, the inhabitation of the european green crab has increased significantly and the thickness of the snail shells has increased. She has concluded that when the crabs arrived on the island, they began to eat the thin shelled snails because their shells were easier to crack.
During each of five (5) trials a different Reticulitermes flavipes was used. In the course of the first trial the termite was placed on the red papermate pen path, timing the termite with a stop watch, the insect stayed on the path for the complete thirty seconds. Then the same termite was placed on the pencil path, and stayed for a total of zero seconds. During the second trial a new termite was placed on the red papermate pen line it also stayed on the path for the maximum thirty seconds. Later the same termite was placed on the lead pencil path and reacted just like the first termite, walked away from the pencil path. It was very odd that during the third trial the termite did react to the lead pencil circle for 10 (ten) seconds, meaning it followed the path of the pencil for that time. In the fourth and fifth trial the termite did the same thing as the first and second termites they followed only the red papermate pen path and walked away from the lead pencil circle.
The barnacles were tested using a small cup filled with water which has a small rock with barnacles on it. Before the experiment was conducted, the barnacles were fed food. The change in cirri beats over one minute was determined. The average decrease of cirri beats per minute was 12.6. The second experiment was split into three runs each ending with a variety of results. In run one of the experiment, 38 isopods were released into the glass arena. It was determined after the eight minutes elapsed that 57.2% ran to the sucrose sponge, 8.6% ran to the ethanol sponge, 23.0% ran to the NaCl sponge and 11.1% ran to the RO water sponge. For run two, there was a significant shift in the results with 1.3% of the isopods going to the sucrose sponge, 15.0% going to the ethanol sponge, 20.0% going to the NaCl sponge, and 63.8% going to the RO water sponge.
The lid was then placed on the jar and an observation was made and recorded. Observations of the egg were then made after 12 hours and 24 hours had passed and the observations were recorded. After 24 hours had passed, the egg was removed from the syrup and rinsed with tap water and observations were made and recorded.
This assignment was the measurement of dissected worms over a course of two weeks. In class we were given a tiny worm in a petri dish and it was given nothing but a pipette of water to survive in. I named my small worm Loretta Lynn, and then cut her into three somewhat parts (just eye-balling it) using a razor blade. Each segment of Loretta was now separated and swimming independently from the body they were once a part of. I hypothesized that the three parts would grow rapidly and very noticeably larger over the course of 14 days, I was underwhelmed however by the results. Loretta’s “head” was first measured at 2mm long and after one week the “head” measured at 5mm and then to 1cm by the end of week two. Her “middle” part was of similar results
The first trial was a low 75 seconds, the second was at 291 seconds, and the third was 372 seconds. When left for 5 minutes, the first trial was again low at 99 seconds, the second at a close 105 seconds, and the third at 223 seconds which caused the average to be 142. The beads being left for 10 minutes caused the first trial to be a slightly high 195 seconds, the second to be lower by 95 seconds, and the third was very close with 105 seconds but because of that first trial, the average was 133
The eggs were each individually placed in one of the beakers and were taken out and weighed every 15 minutes for 60 minutes. Weighing the eggs helped to test the process of osmosis by finding out the mass before and after soaking in water, this will dictate whether water has moved in or out of the egg.
This internet article, found in Science Daily is about an exceptionally odd animal that would go to great lengths to stay alive. In the University of Victoria, a biologist called Louise Page, studied Melibe Leonina, a unique eastern pacific ocean sea slug. Through her extensive research, Page discovers the extraordinary animals ability to survive by cutting itself. This marine snail species that has no shell is known as a nudibranch. Its various differences is viewed through their shapes, sizes, and colors but what really separates it from other creatures would be the Melibes appendages.
The use of eyestalk ablation was first practiced in 1943 for triggering the molting and spawning of crustaceans and became widely used method classically practiced for induced maturation is shrimp and crab in captivity.
