Code Blue
“Attention bulldogs! We are going blue!”. What on Earth does “going blue” mean? Well, the entire “going blue” is for the students to strive for the best of the best. We need to set the standards higher for ourselves but, going blue, does not mean just our actions. It’s a combination of our actions along with grades, respect, responsibility and pride. These can not be achieved by one individual. We must work together so we can go blue!
Starting with actions, this means that as students, we must treat ourselves and others with kindness. Help a peer or friend out if you see them struggling. Volunteer your hours that you have nothing to do. We should try to cooperate with others no matter the situation. Our actions have an tremendous impact on each other. Violent actions play a great role in preventing students from going blue. We should encourage each other to be

Students should ask themselves, “Is college important?”, “Are grades a big deal?”. Well, the answer to both of these questions is yes, and most definitely! Getting good grades shows how intelligent of a student you are. If you make terrible grades, it shows how slack and careless you are. On the other hand, good grades make you appear more caring rather than careless. These grades show what type of student you are.
You can be a careless student and fail, or be responsible and stay focused and on task and pass. Making good grades is going blue!
What about respect? Respect is a not only important for us to go blue, but it is a major life style. Respecting people and their privacy is the most important thing. Show respect for others and avoid drama. Don’t get involved with fights. To go blue we have got to be more respectful of people. This means, cooperating with teachers, staff, and other students. Not only should we respect others, but we should respect ourselves. Show respect so we can go
The Strategic Diversity plan in ELAD 7073 addresses the ethical practice one must maintain while promoting an environment that is safe and non-threatening to the student’s within it. A school administrator should oversee the facilitation of sound practices and opportunities for the students through constant observation of behavioral practices modeled by the staff in their teaching. I do this through classroom walk-throughs. I observe within the classroom and
We need to be a school district that prepares all students to be productive members of society. We need to expose our students to the real world and help them see that the world is bigger than our very small community. We need to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed and reach their goals. We need be a school with a pluralistic culture. Our students need to be culturally competent and have a good understanding of diversity. We need to promote the acceptance and celebration of people from all walks of life. We need to develop a supportive atmosphere where students feel they can express their beliefs freely without prejudice or judgment.
Our school aims to provide a healthy balance between recognition and consequences. Pupils should learn to expect recognition for positive behaviour and fair and consistently applied consequences for inappropriate behaviour.
We take great pride in our school in promoting positive behaviour. This is reflected in many of our policies which are in place. Listed below is a brief summary of some of the policies and procedures in place:
be a few students who act out or disrupt the flow of learning. This is no different for Ms. Anderson. She
Promote positive social connections between staff and students, among students, and between schools and home.
Why? Your grades depict your future, for example, completing your classwork and homework is important because they are the main part of your grade; yes, assessments/projects weigh more, but before you get to assessments and projects you have to learn and practice the topic which is why you have homework and classwork all the time, to practice for your assessment. So if you do not complete the two, your grade will start to plummet. Not completing your work is a sign of laziness and a lack of commitment. When you start your school year off you usually have to take a pre-test, which is an assessment that measures what you already know on a course topic. Then at the end of the year, you have to undertake the post-test, which measures if/what you have learned anything throughout the school year. On the pre and post tests that I have received thus far, I would like to say that I have done well on them, on the College Readiness Rubric I have received a 3 out of 4. Other than the pre and post tests, there are two other assessments that are very important to take, they are the PSAT and the College Placement Test (ALEKS), these two assessments are important in life because you may have an opportunity to receive scholarships down the road, it’s a huge confidence booster, and if you do well on the PSAT then that can indicate how well you do on your SAT. This sounds like a lot of work, to study
Keeping my grades up will open new doors by expanding my job choices when I graduate high school and college. Also, having high grades will give me the opportunity to be on honor roll and high honor roll. Honor roll gives me a chance to be remembered for my academic abilities. Next, keeping my grades as high as they can be gives me intelligence that I can use in the future for the rest of my life. On top of that, working hard in school will pay off by giving me more opportunities in life and by creating a wider window for success in the future years of my
A students success can determine how the rest of their life will play out. If a student is unsuccessful and gets bad grades it will give them a harder life. Adults with an A average from highschool
I show affection to my students. I will ensure they feel like they are part of a family. Students will each have a role in class. They will contribute to the classroom. They will see the importance in others.
I get good grades, because I work hard to get these grades and graduate faster. My transcript shows that I am not ready for a 4-years university yet. So I can go to a 2-year college first
Students should share their experiences to the benefit of their peers, demonstrate respect and tolerance of different viewpoints, and be able to effectively handle challenges to their own perspectives for an overall positive learning experience.
How do students and staff build upon school spirit? School spirit can be shown by wearing school colours, attending school functions, and being involved in school sports or clubs. School spirit helps facilitate ones’ attachment to the school eventually leading to higher application rates to graduate studies within the same university and more donations from alumni. “Spirit” is an important investment for the school to work on because it facilitates funds.
Finally, achieving a high grade in college is more difficult than in high school. In high school, grades are easier to achieve and there are greater opportunities for marks. Usually, a student is graded on many different areas, including; attendance, participation, effort, and organization. Also, students are graded on evaluations and assignments. These are the areas which are graded, and these account for a large portion of the final
