Before getting a teaching degree, the individual will need to take regular high school classes, such as math, science, English, and psychology, have two years of a foreign language and should consider participating in a teacher’s aide program. Then one must continue onto a four year college to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. The placement for an elementary teacher is quite high and it shouldn't be that difficult to find a job. Also, to increase the chances of getting a job and to increase your salary, a person should also get a Master’s Degree. It is not required but it looks better and often helps the employability of a future education.

Currently, to be employed as a teacher in the United States, one must obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, and be certificated in the state that one wishes to be employed. The certification serves as a teaching credential, which is needed for teachers in all states.

Choosing a college is a challenging decision but a pathway to your future, in which makes it important to choose wisely. To live within the University a room can cost up to $20,000 , tuition can cost up to $28,000 , loans $208, and supplies $2,400 adding up to an amount of $50,700 in total. Texas A&M has a 8.4:1 student-teacher ratio meaning it wouldn’t be as populated as other colleges would be making it a great environment to focus. In Texas A&M , within criminal law , there are “Cynthia Alkon, and Amber Baylor” instructors in which I'd love to meet. Quality within this school is great, it's a good campus, good quality of tech, rooms, etc.

I believe each and every student is capable of learning and achieving academic success, however some children require individualized support to ensure their success. A strength I posses that supports high academic expectations for all Houston ISD students is my ability to motivate and empower young children of all types to want to be successful. I am committed to creating a classroom culture where high expectations are set and most importantly constantly communicated to students. I have the ability to lead and differentiate engaging lessons where the diverse learning needs of all students are supported. I am a teacher that believes high academic expectations will be met when lessons are presented in a way that suits all learning styles. I use classroom management strategies to set students up for success.

The last twelve years of my life, I have spent the last four or five years of my life focusing on improving my academics and learning how to become a better person. The one consistent drive that pushed me to succeed academically is my dream of attending Kennesaw State University (KSU). Unfortunately, in today’s economic climate I have to be realistic and factor in out-of-state fees and the impact these fees would have on my family’s financial health. Financial assistance is needed to help me meet my short and long term educational goals. At this time, Gardner-Webb University is my college choice. Gardner-Webb is a private school that better meets my learning style, as opposed to a larger state university. I feel that this college is the right match for me and will provide better opportunities to get involved and fulfil my spiritual needs as well. My involvement with sports, clubs, and summer camps has prevented me from working part time throughout high school except for the payment I receive for one week of camp during the summer. I also chose to take more challenging classes which required more time for studying. Therefore hindering me from contributing to my educational fund.
