Assessment plays a significant role in the learning experience of students. It determines their progression through their programmes and enables them to demonstrate that they have achieved the intended learning outcomes. It is assessment that provides the main basis for public recognition of achievement, through the awarding of qualifications and/or credit.

The programme syllabus will allow the assessor to understand how the subject should be assessed and will provide the assessor with guidance and information in the form of an assessment strategy.

Unit 1- 1.1, 1.2-This is a reflective account of the things I have done, experience and knowledge I have gained throughout the assessor 's course mainly during the process of assessment. First, I would like to describe the definition of assessment, its key concepts, stages to show the knowledge and understanding I have gained throughout the course. With focus on the quality and standards of assessors to meet the learning needs of the candidates, where a lack of progress is highlighted or an inconsistency within assessments will result in further support for the assessment team, potentially in the form of further standardization

The assessor should record their assessment decision with the criteria met clearly identified. The assessor should follow procedure with regards to making this information available to authorised colleagues and should maintain confidentiality.

Assessment is often thought of as a punitive exercise. But the purpose of assessment is to ensure that students meet specific standards of progress and to rectify learning deficits before a child falls too far behind. Assessment can also identify a child's strengths as well as his or her weaknesses. As well as comparing the child's performance with his or her peers, the teacher can assess specific learning needs, learning styles, interests, aptitudes, and other critical components of the child's developing learning personality.

Documentation of all conversations, mailings, voicemails, ARD committee meeting minutes, should all be retained in the students file. Allegations and potential disagreements are always a possibility in the school counseling and professional counseling arena. A best practice approach should be detailed record keeping on all clients and students.

In assessment process, I am good in using required methods/strategies to conduct formal and informal assessment. I am good in planning and designing my assessment activities. I make effective use of ILT/ICT to support the assessment process. I also make effective use verbal and written feedback in the assessment process. I am focusing on managing the recording and reporting on assessment achievement and progress, and collecting and collating assessment results to support evaluation and equality processes.
