As is being reported by the media these days, more than 1,000 children have been left waiting at school bus stops in different areas of the Great Toronto Area (GTA) since the beginning of school. According to Ombudsman Ontario website, “an independent officer of the Legislature who investigates complaints from the public about Ontario government services” (Ombudsman Ontario, 2016), more than 800 complaints has been received about this issue to date.

Elementary school students are usually starting school at around 8:30 a.m., which would be the same time as high school students if the schedules were to change. Detroit notes that the VTA is convenient because students do not have to drive around to find parking space. He revels that students can save money with the free Echo Pass that is provided with registered SJSU students. He also notes that taking the VTA helps with the environmental problems because it solves traffic congestion, rising oil consumption, and carbon pollution.

If the privatization of education happened millions of parents would be forced to take their children to school in the morning or pay a fee to ride a bus. The long dismissal procedure has made many people late and frustrated. When children need to get somewhere fast they can't because of this. Before, the school got crowded with children the dismissal line was fine but now it is overcrowded and long. To most people this doesn't seem like that bad of a problem
The availability of the GTA buses depends on the time, location, and day of the week. For instance, the route one, Bridford Place Stop, is available from 5:15 am to 11:58 pm, Monday through Friday (Greensboro Transit Authority, 2017). On Saturdays the bus is available from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Bus routes on Sunday are limited to 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and only routes 21 to 27 are operational (Greensboro Transit Authority, 2017). The limited weekend times and routes can be an issue for those who work on the weekends or on night shift. The affordability of riding the bus will depend on the need and size of a
