Beatrice “Tris” Prior the protagonist is strong willed, sinewy, and reluctant to show weakness. Caleb Prior is her brother, Christina becomes fast friends with Tris when she helped her jump onto the moving train in their first initiate test, Jeanine Matthews is the leader of Erudite faction, she is the main antagonist in the novel and seeks to form an alliance between Dauntless and Erudite against Abnegation, Tobias “four” Eaton is authoritative and the initiation instructor for the Dauntless transfer initiates, including Tris, who eventually becomes her primary love interest. Fahrenheit 451, written by Ray Bradbury, is a dystopian novel about a society living under the concept that no one should be sad, and this goal is achieved by mandating all the firemen to burn books. Firemen being ordered to burn books seem strange, but books have the ability to make people sad, with the ideas that are in them, however, this is a misconception that the characters of Fahrenheit 451 have. The government wants everyone to be happy, and by banning books, the government thinks they are doing the right thing. The author, Ray Bradbury, is explaining that the government banning something as an attempt to solve a problem actually makes the society suffer more.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, is about a dystopian society that burns literature and everything and anything to keep the civilians distracted from the obstacles of life. Guy Montag is a citizen whose job is to burn down houses that contain literature, for books are illegal because the government says it causes controversy. His wife, Mildred, sits in front of the “parlor walls” with “seashells” in her ears and goes along mindlessly with society. Throughout the story Montag is influenced by people with minds of their own, whom help him think for himself.

Currently while reading, it is safe to say the main protagonist of the novel is trying to escape his past life by leaving behind everything he’s known for a new adventure featuring new people. Already he has tried to fit in by being something he is not. It is evident through his speech versus his thoughts. Short term events could consist of him changing who he is to fit into the current way of life he has walked into. Long term events could consist of the adventure he has with the new people he has met. He begins to fall for a taken girl amongst it all, but never voices his feelings for her. In the future the most important events could involve the girl and the lessons he learns along the way based on what is right compared to what is wrong.
