Executive Summary:
I have recently accepted an employment position with a large, high profile jewellers firm. The organisation manufactures imports and repairs jewellery for distribution to its many stores in all states. My position title is ‘Team Leader of Distribution and Warehousing’ – a frontline management position. There are 12 team members in my team from different backgrounds and with differing levels of expertise. Some team members have worked with the organisation, and in this division, for a number of years. Other team members are relatively new, while some have worked in other departments/ sections

In this distribution department of jewelers firm if goods will not deliver on time to the client organization might not get the order again and this could be resolve only when team member know how to take the tasks on priories level.
The third and main thing I have noticed in this scenario is that communication problem between team members in the organization. I observe that communication between team members appears to be strained at times and communication with the other teams within the organization is not as good as it should be. This could happen due to the changes and many other factors. Changes to the personnel of an established team are often challenging to a team as it goes through a new period of storming. This team is mixed with new and experienced members. So there is likely to be some awkwardness between members as new member begins to assert them and challenge the shape or purpose of the team. This could end up with frustration and personality conflict. I would take this thing in prior list to resolve the issue because it could be worst if it’s not been solved in the earliest manner. As I mentioned earlier I would take some steps which includes:
Clarify roles and responsibilities more fully and explain every individual what are the expectation that organization have
Address the team members concerns about the management thinking in the light of world affairs. I would prefer to organize a session
Some people find changes to be stressful because they fear about job status. That`s why constant and clear communication with team members is vital. By keeping them informed about the change and expectations they will be prepared
Completely set up and operate all office and licensing/operational equipment for driver's license customer service center
2. In monitoring this team, at what level and function do you see the most serious problems? Internal task? Internal relational? External?
“Understanding role clarity and task ambiguity” - department and individual objectives are not clear from the beginning and lack of group structure.
* In addition to proper Job Descriptions – build a proper organizational hierarchy and reporting structure with performance reviews
tone and be fair by rewarding any good performances but not having favourites in the company.
To meet the customer expectation with regards to delivery, we have to control production and maximize the time given after the customer
Be independent and autonomous; with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to perform the role effectively; and
Make sure that each member of the team fully understands what is expected from them and equally ascertaining whether or not the employees possess the required skills and support for all of the fulfilling such expectations.
Question 1. What is the nature of the problems experienced by the team? Why are these problems occurring?
Moreover, the effectiveness and efficacy of the organization are recognized by the organizational design. To enhance role clearness, director must assess, plainly compose, and show sets of expectations to cutting-edge staff (Springer, 2011). It is through the leadership of the organization that a fluid response of stakeholders adjusts the internal and external forces that exists. The organization is an ever changing living machine, without maintaining and recognizing opportunities for growth, adjustment to procedures and policies, technical advancements it will not survive the competitive market. Research supports that conflict diminishes work fulfillment, role clearness limits struggle among representatives and administration, along these lines expanding work fulfillment (Springer, 2011).
Include a copy of, or produce, an organisational chart of your organisation, showing your role and briefly discuss where your role fits in the organisation. Drawing on relevant theory, comment on the advantages and disadvantages of the structure of your organisation.
Often there is confusion in the first weeks and months after an initial restructure. After all, who is supposed to be responsible for what? The answer is to clarify roles and responsibilities from the beginning, identify all functions (activities, tasks and decisions) that have to be accomplished for effective operation, clarify who should be involved and be specific about accountability.
According to Peter Drucker, one of the most prominent business gurus of recent times, management is a timeless, human discipline. It has been used to build the Great Wall of China, to run empires and armies throughout history, and guide the development of the joint stock company, which has been the key institution in the development of the joint stock company which has been the key institution in the development of modern capitalism. If there is a lack of communication in an organisation there is tendency that the organisation will fail in achieving its goals and objectives more so, if there is lack of encouragement in terms of motivation as regards to salaries or better still working hours of the employees are not suitable for them the level of absenteeism will rise and recruiting an inexperience managers will only worsen the case. Organisations should be very careful when choosing the management style in order not to create chaos within the employees and also chose a suitable management style that welcomes equality and diversity principles so as to create a good working atmosphere and embrace all cultures within and outside the organisation environment.
