During the first observation she stayed focused on the pictures of the animals in the story book as the teacher read the story and asked the children to identify the names of the animals. The child even showed great signs of communication and language development because she was able to identify the animals during story time. The second observation shows that the child displayed great signs of attentiveness by paying close attention as she rubbed and lathered both hands with soap while washing her hands. Throughout the third observation the child showed great signs of problem solving and cognitive development and also attentiveness. One sign of problem solving and cognitive development that was observed is while the child was watching videos on her ipod. According to the observation “ Looking down at the screen Gabbie looked at the videos for a few seconds using her fingers to scroll up and down to make a choice, then she tapped on a video using her finger”. It then continued to explain that she focused on the video for four minutes before she looked up at the
I will be observing a seven-year-old child for my project. What I have learned from being a parent and watching my kids as they grow up the social emotional, physical and intellectual changes that occur in children between birth and the end of adolescence are that they all progress at individual intervals from dependency to increasing individualism. Because these developmental changes may be strongly influenced by genetic factors and events during prenatal life, genetics and prenatal development are usually included as part of the built in parenting skills we all possess. When children are born they have no sense of fear but quickly develop a fear of what
On November 7,2016 at 2:50 pm, Shawn was in the special education room for work completion. When his teacher showed him the work to be finished Shawn was adamant he had already completed it. Staff showed Shawn that the work was incomplete. Shaw refused to comply at which time staff started the sequence of his behavior plan. A timer was started for five minutes, to allow Shawn to comply with the directions. Due to Shawn behavior at the end of the five minutes, he needed to be escorted to the break room. During the transition to the break room, Shawn punched staff in the face, kicked, and attempted to bite staff. Shawn refused to enter the room fully to allow for staff to close the door. Staff entered the room, Shawn then began to hit, kick,
All children are different in their unique way. The goal of this assignment was to observe different children in an uninterrupted environment. Although all the children observed were the same age, they all acted differently during their observation. The differences in the way we react to different situations are what make us human. These differences can be explained through the theories that different psychologist have developed over the years. Some children react better to things like praise from a teacher or being able to be creative in the activities that they are participating in.
On July 9 at approximately 1800 I observed an individual walking up the Priest Rapids Road towards the intake. As he was walking up he would stop and began yelling and screaming at something towards the dam. I hurried and grab my patrol radio along with my keys for the patrol car. I got on the radio and inform priest control that I was on site. They asked if I was aware of the gentleman walking across the damn. I informed them that yes I was and that I was heading up towards the intake deck to make contact. They informed me that it look like he was carrying something sharp in his hand. When I pulled up to him and got out of the vehicle I could see that his hands were up in his fist were clinched. As I got closer I noticed that he had a small
Subject “Chris” is a 7 year old middle class Caucasian male. Observation is taking place in the child’s home over the course of two separate afternoons. Aliza has maintained progress on the goals she had previously met. She continues to make friends at school and have meaningful conversations with them about their similar interests. Additionally, at school, she has been integrated with a general education science class and states that she has initiated conversations with her peers in that class.
The second interaction I observed was a child went over and grabbed the ring stacker toy. She started to shake the pieces which contained beads that made noise. The teacher walked over and allowed the child to really explore all the pieces of the toy before she intervened. She was laughing along with the child when she got excited that the beads were moving. I would give this interaction a seven on the QQCIIT scale for supporting object exploration. This is because the teacher allowed the child to explore multiple toys and pick one to really explore. She helped her maintain interest in the toy and she helped her explore the object by also shaking a bigger, different colored ring. Once the child noticed the middle piece that the other rings
On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 1955 hours I was dispatched to the Rite Aid for a welfare check. Schuylkill County Communications advised me, it was reported that there was a female leaning against the wall at the Rite Aid shaking and moving back and forth. County advised me the female was wearing a black coat and gray pants.
I went to the Gracepoint Church’s Fall Fest on Halloween eve. Many interactive booths were prepared for the children, such as ring toss, dance floor, fishing for rubber dolphins, bean bag toss, beading station, and face painting. I hid behind my roommate who was working at the face painting booth that night. The location was perfect because of the high chairs at the booth gave me an easy view of the families in line and the children at the face painting station. I focused this observation on one pair of siblings, whom I will refer to as Jane (5 years old) and John (6 years old). Most children were impatiently waiting in line with their parents, including Jane and John. The two children discussed profusely what painting they wanted on their

For this child observation, I decided to observe my younger brother Jacob. Jacob is 5 years old, but he insisted that I write that he is almost 6. He is also in kindergarten this year and loving every second of being a loud, rowdy boy. I suppose I am at an advantage in this observation since I have seen the numerous developments in Jacob’s life thus far.

For this observation, I observed two children one boy age three named Ace Johnson. Little Ace suffers from Epilepsy which limits him from using certain technology in the class for example the Game Table. The Game Table is what we use to asset the children when they play their games. We found that whenever Ace uses the table he has an attack therefore we try our best to use different alternative such as the computer his dad provides just for him to use. Another key information to know about Ace is that he is from a single parent home. Ace lives with his father, his teacher did not go into too much details about his personal life because that is private.
