Many times when students are given an assignment, they skim through it to see exactly what all needs to be completed. Although skimming seems as if it cuts time in half, skimming through things opens the window for you to miss important information. If a student were to come to me confused about where to begin with an assignment, the first thing I would suggest is pointing out what part the student does not understand. After we have figured out where the student is confused, I would suggest asking the professor to clarify. Anything that the student does not understand, they need to ask the professor until they gain full clarity, that way they can get the highest grade possible. Next I would ask if they had ever used an outline as a tool to complete an assignment. Regardless of the answer, I would help them begin filling one out, and we would start with what the teacher is asking. We would see that the teacher has assigned a four page, MLA format paper. I would have the student write down the criteria of the paper, that way no points are taken off on something as simple as the format. After we have gotten the basics of what the teacher has assigned, it is time to look at what the student will be writing about.

Outlines allow the student to be organized, and allows them to quickly identify when they are just rambling to make word count, or they are off topic. Once the outline is complete the only thing left that needs to be started is the thesis statement, and after all these things are considered I would say the student is off to a great start on this

The frightening scene from a moving car is actually a community of loving people. Skid row has been around since the 1930s and it is a 50-block area in downtown Los Angeles where the streets are homes to about 44,000 people. There is so much going on in 50 blocks, drug dealers, drug addicts, gangsters, soccer moms, investors, and veterans everything can be found. The people on these streets have different issues like home loss, illness and unemployment every case being unique. The people on Skid Row living in poor conditions, how these individuals take it day by day and the difficulty of turning around their lives.

Learners returned to class without the document and so we completed a group activity where they made notes individually on a form and then we used the Smart board to note down what everyone had met. I chose the most common experience and we used that to base our first statement on. We discussed the unit that it related to and the group were able to ask questions. I circulated, checking their first sentence and then the paragraph for spelling and grammar issues which were identified and I used an activity to note down key words which developed into a sentence – asking what should go at the beginning and at the end, use of commas, etc. Once the opening sentence was perfect, the learners used the same skills to write the rest of the paragraph and I was able to give individual support to suit their needs on a 1:1 basis.
I think the outline part is really useful for every single essay not even just for the ISU, because it can make my mind clearly understand what should I write and point by point. The obstacles that I got is after reading this book, I feel I can find the match movie for this book, so I am really worry about this. Outline, planning, revising, rough and final draft, grading. This is the typical process for writing an essay, I however as a young high school student never followed this. I started with an idea in my head and go on from there. I never considered a need to plan and prepare an outline, just to write a rough draft that I would have to revise, draft, and draft again. It would just be easier to start writing the final draft first right? No. This class has taught me many strategies on how to accustom my writing to a college level. Over the semester in this class I have grown, learned how to effectively draft, and experienced argumentative writing first hand.
Finally, we decided to focus on the design and style of the posters, as well as some of the rhetoric appeals used, rather than talking about the topic itself. Thus, we concluded that our main point would be what we considered to be our strongest aspect of the posters, which we determined was the balance between pathos and logos in the posters. By choosing two posters to display data and facts, and two to display emotion-evoking images and messages, we determined that we provided enough variety of information so that an individual that is either interested in the facts of this topic or that is interested in the morality of this topic could be persuaded to pursue more information on this topic, or even heed our call for advocacy. Although we were met with some issues concerning time and a difference in both topic and design choices, we completed the poster series in a manner we were quite satisfied

While writing your outline make sure that all of your steps and/or points are in chronological order. This will help your reader to track where you are. Also make sure that you stay on topic with what your are talking about.
As I pick up speed I feel the wind push harder and harder in the opposite direction, but my jacket breaks its bite. The reflection of the sun on the stark white snow makes the path ahead harder to see; my destination is still visible, its dead ahead. As I close in I have second thoughts but it's too late for that now. I lean forward to ride my edge and make a quick turn as I launch off of the jump which sends me into a spin until I'm facing my original direction, 360 degrees then my snowboard touches the ground again and I land it. Well, at least I planned on landing it. However, the reality of the situation was different, I ended up hitting the hard snow with my head and shoulder. That happened on my most recent skiing/snowboarding trip. I've been skiing for as long as I can remember but the past few trips I have snowboarded instead. Skiing and snowboarding are some of the things that I'm most passionate about, but the most important part is doing those things with my family and friends.
