1. Explain your project idea.
My proposal for my Senior Project is to transition and streamline the Evans City PTO digital infrastructure for the next PTO Board. My mother has been the PTO President at Evans City Elementary & Middle School for the past six years. When the school became paperless, the PTO needed to change what they were doing to adhere to the policy. As a result, I was asked by the Board to aid in the transition to digital. In doing this, I designed and created a multipage, comprehensive public website and digitalized all PTO documents and forms. I also investigated and came up with solutions for data management and transitioned it to a new email service. Also in this transition, I set up the PTO’s social media platforms; essentially I “modernized” the Evans City PTO. Over the years, I have always been a big help in managing the data,

6. Name one possible mentor (at least 21 years of age and not a parent or relative) whose expertise could help guide you through this project. Briefly, explain how this person’s knowledge can help you. (This should be the same person who completes the Mentor Commitment Form.)
One possible mentor would be Lauri Pendred, Principal at Evans City Elementary School. She is the natural choice for a mentor as she has extensive experience working with the PTO. Also, she will be able to give additional insights from a school-oriented perspective, those of which the PTO Board may not have considered or overlooked. Obviously, the school is a very important element of the PTO’s role as the goal of the PTO is to enrich the school environment for students.
7. What, if any, expenses are involved with this project? How will you be able to pay for these expenses?
There are no monetary expenses associated with this
Part A: The candidate with the approval of the school leadership will establish a professional learning community with a minimum of three peers to research areas of need in student learning and development in school.
4. What is your opinion on the potential for the project to be completed on time?
4. Describe who and how many individuals will be served by the project for which funding is sought.
A Senior Project should be a graduation requirement in Sandwich. That was the unanimous vote of school committee members when presented with the program of studies by Dr. Ellin Booras in December of 2015. It was an excellent one.
Reflect on the type of mentor who could be of assistance to you and how you might select
For my Senior Exit Project, I would like to shadow a neurologist, the doctor concerned with diseases and disorders of brain and spinal cord. I expect to see patients of all neurological statuses coming in for examinations and tests such as MRIs and CT scans. The types of patients I will most likely see will range from Alzheimer's and autism to epilepsy and infections. With the skills I currently have, I will most likely be helping the neurologist with the initial workup, so that will mean taking blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and checking their neurological status using the Glasgow Coma Scale. I have learned these skills though the JTED Healthcare Foundations class and have been tested off accordingly so I know I am proficient in
A mentor is someone we all have whether it's your parents, friends, or even a total stranger! What makes them all the same? They all have great qualities. It could be that one of them happens to be an extraordinary listener or ]they might have great wisdom and patience. When you are looking for a great mentor, you are going to want someone with patience, determination, and listens
I have two more stakeholders in mind. One would be our principal. He is a big believer in sending teachers to professional developments and conferences. Last year, he had me go to a PLC conference over the summer because I had shown interest in bring back PLCs to our school. I hope that by showing him our project data and progress, he can think about sending our new teachers to some professional developments or recommend us with other resources. In the past, he has paid for
For my senior project, I wanted to do something to raise awareness on dogs and how we can help the strays in our community. To begin my project I contacted my friend, Amanda, who is a dog trainer and rehabilitator. I interviewed her about her experience with dog shelters and how people like me could contribute to shelters while lacking the skills to train dogs. She gave me insight on what shelters needed to stay up and running and what I, someone with limited funds and resources, could do to help them. Through intense research and interviews with my friend, I was able to accomplish my goal of learning more about shelter life and how I can help. I learned that not all dogs think the same way, therefore, not all dogs are cared for the same way.

Everything goes straight to hell in senior week. Jin is an international student from China. Quite surprisingly, he became close friends with the two students, Evan and Maxwell, the former controls the major drugs supply on Wesleyan campus and the latter is one of his distributors. In the beginning of senior week, everything seems to be great. Jin’s parents are flying all the way from China to attend the commencement. Jin and his housemates, Maxwell, Phoebe, and Alice, are having the best time they have ever had with friends, throwing different parties every day.
A few goals that I would recommend the new principal to try to achieve are:
For each project you’re planning, you need to be clear on just how much money you’re willing to spend.
4. During which month of the project are the highest and lowest costs expected to
H. Budget Issue: What kinds of costs will you have and how/where will you get the money?
