It is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Christopher Brown for the Robert D. Riley Endowed Scholarship. I have known Chris for this past semester at the University of Texas at Arlington as his professor in Computer Programming and Computer Science. Having noticed Chris’ attentiveness to the work involved in the classroom, his brilliance in working on projects, and his observant and receptive nature when working with others, I feel that Chris is a truly exceptional student and will be a leader in whatever he pursues in the years to come.
What I value most about Chris is his ability to try things that he had not done before and push himself beyond his comfort zone in his commitment to the class. Rather than the pursuit for just a good grade, which he would inevitably obtain, Chris is more interested in learning, understanding and applying his knowledge gained in the classroom into the real world, which is an invaluable credit to his deep-rooted

He has a naturally curious mind that enables him to enjoy project based learning classes like my Computer Science class that encourages students to learn about their CS curiosities. Chris has an impressive mind that many envy in his class. As a teacher, students like Chris are hard to witness.
Chris is also extremely accommodating to other students, which he does without hesitation in his willingness to help and to collaborate in creating solutions for understanding the material. Chris has remarkable people skills, a quick wit and he is a thoughtful mentor to the other students in class. He is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional leaders that I have had in my classroom.
Chris is well liked by his peers, is a good communicator and has a broad-minded and receptive attitude towards others. In short, I give Chris my highest recommendation and believe your selection committee should consider his application
Mr. Brown persistent work and effort towards interpersonal growth and enhancing his community are qualities that allow him excel as a leader and as a scholar. I was awarded the Drexel Liberty Scholarship in 2015, but today, while reflecting on my college career, I am more appreciative of your donation than ever before. The past couple of months have not been the easiest for my family and I, but thanks to your donation, my financial standing at Drexel was not an additional burden. Furthermore, this scholarship has given me the privilege to advanced my education in my dream school and enjoy the perks of being a Drexel student, such as co-op.
Matthew is a conscientious, hard-working student. He has been very dedicated this year to learning each topic in the course especially programming. This level of commitment will no doubt give great dividends in the future. He is very good at meeting deadlines, and he always does his work to a high standard. All he needs now to gain endorsement in this subject is complete the externally marked Computer Science report to a high standard.
He is very good at getting an answer for questions or making a choice if a problem arises.
He is very inspiring and is a role model for others. He inspires Gene to train for the Olympics and, although there were consequences, climb up to the tree branch and jump off. He also inspires all of the other kids in different ways. He is just a very confident and inspiring kind of person and it shows. He seems like someone that you would want to hang around with. There is however just like everyone else, a negative
I am honored to be one of the recipients of the Lawrence J. Sonneman and Laurelle A. Sonneman Endowed Memorial Scholarship. Thanks to your generous support I am the first in my family to attend college.
According to his parents, Chris was a smart child who was placed in an accelerated school program for gifted students — a program eight-year-old Chris tried to get out of since he didn't want to do the extra schoolwork associated with it. Chris was also eight when he went on his first backpacking trip.
Days before his adventure into the Alaskan wilderness, Chris had graduated from Emerson University. Apparently, Chris was a high achiever all throughout his school years and did well in all of his classes, however, only
It is my pleasure to recommend Zachary Kohler, who I taught in my 1st-7th grade computer classes at Challenger School. During this class, Zacharywould demonstrate his math, science, and logic skills programming in Terrapin Logo and Pascal. Hedisplayed tremendous effort and growth throughout the time I've known him and brought a great energy to class. I am confident that he will continue to display the same commitment and diligence in everything he does. I highly recommend Zachary for this scholarship to your program.
I must make note of Andrew’s exceptional academic performance. Out of a class of 131 students, Andrew is ranked eighteen. Andrew’s academics are a high priority and he has maintained his grades well above average. He has challenged himself in taking Advanced Placement classes along with Honors level classes. Presently, he is dual enrolled at Bloomsburg University participating in the STEM Magnet Program. His performance is a direct result of his hard work and strong focus.
Brian is a poised, accomplished, mature young man with superior interpersonal skills and the highest integrity. He works equally well independently or in a group setting. Brian's genuine charisma and positive impact makes him exceptionally well liked and respected. Brian would be an extremely positive addition to your freshman class.
Academically, Brandon has excelled in the classroom. He enjoys the rigor of the AP and honors courses he has taken. Known to be among the best and the brightest can be a lot of pressure for a young adult, but Brandon was unaffected at the notion of being among the high achievers of the school. He seems to have an innate ability and desire to learn, striving to absorb all he can and put the knowledge to use. His hard work and determination has also earned him honors every quarter throughout his high school career. I have only had the pleasure of knowing Brandon through his high school career, but I can echo what his parents say when they describe him as a responsible and motivated
