We pushed ourselves to be the best students we knew we could be. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Cayuga Community College with my Associate Degree, I knew that a collegiate brand such as RIT my next chapter in life. RIT focuses on the reality of the workplace environment and prepares students to persevere professionally. RIT was the perfect fit for me because I was confident I would leave prepared for my future. I was confident that the education I would receive from RIT would give me a superior competitive edge in the job market. While at RIT, I had many achievements. My top three were being inducted to the Beta Gamma Sigma honors society, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors, and being picked for the Bausch and Lomb Operations Management Internship. At Visual Marking Systems, I was an account manager that focused on local fleet sales. Specifically, we were designing, manufacturing, and installing vehicle graphics to small fleets in the area. It was essential that I had a thorough communication with of manufacturing engineers, supply chain, and product design, so we could deliver a turnkey solution to our customers. I would communicate any issues we had during production, help elaborate on design concepts, and schedule product delivery. At Nedloh Brewing Company, patrons commonly are interest in the process of producing craft beer. I studied our equipment so that I can accurately explain the entire brewing process to patrons. By doing this, I find that patrons trust my expertise and I am able to enhance the overall customer experience.
At Bausch and Lomb, I do not have the opportunity to work with external customers. However, I spend a lot of time with internal customers in order to develop innovative solutions to my assigned projects. For example, I have developed an interface that allows operators to pick optimal mold tooling based on historic tool performance data.
