Program Planning and Evaluation Paper
The first questions ask how program planning and program evaluation describe how the two components relate. In my opinion they relate because once you have a plan in order you have to evaluate it to see if the plan is working. You also need to know what area need to be work on and what the cause of the problem and how to resolve them.
The second question Identify specific examples of how program planning and evaluation interrelate in your chosen scenario in Appendix B. in my opinion program planning and

Issue that in my opinion would affect the evaluation of a domestic violence program would be lack of information on the victim and abuser. Another affect on evaluation would be is there a data base on domestic violence crime. Is the data assessable, is there a statistic rate what is the ratio of women, men, and children been victim of domestic violence. Other issue that could affect the planning of domestic violence is the long term affect of being a victim of domestic violence. According to (N.D), "[The long term effects of domestic violence have not begun to be fully documented. Battered women suffer physical and mental problems as a result of domestic violence. Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, more significant that auto accidents, rapes, or muggings. In fact, the emotional and psychological abuse inflicted by batterers may be more costly to treat in the short-run than physical injury. Many of the physical injuries sustained by women seem to cause medical difficulties as women grow older. Arthritis, hypertension and heart disease have been identified by battered women as directly caused or aggravated by domestic violence suffered early in their adult lives.
Battered women lose their jobs because of absenteeism due to illness as a result of the violence. Absences occasioned by court appearances also jeopardize women's livelihood. Battered women may have to move many times to avoid violence. Moving is costly and can interfere with continuity
Domestic violence is a serious problem in this country and often takes the form of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and psychological abuse.
This is because the bodies tasked with creating awareness will adequately inform the victims, perpetrators, as well as the general public on the identification and effects of domestic violence, and the prevention strategies of domestic violence between intimate partners. At the same time, it will be instrumental in pooling together affirmative actions that are necessary in reducing any further occurrences of domestic violence between intimate partners. Domestic Violence especially between intimate partners is linked to a multitude of negative social and health outcomes. When it comes to this type of domestic violence, women are more affected than men. As such, it is women that report more severe injuries as a result of the violence they face. The cycle of domestic violence between intimate partners describes a pattern of recurring violence, as well as the tendency for violence to keep escalating over time. Therefore, one of the most unwanted effects of domestic violence is homicide. Women are more likely to seek support whenever they experience violence. However, this is not always possible because such women are faced with various barriers when accessing services, which ultimately affect their decisions to remain or leave an abusive relationship. Such barriers include stigma, racism, as well as gender discrimination that further limit their access to numerous services and compromise their health and
This began to change in the 1980s, as women’s groups were organized locally and internationally to demand attention to the physical, psychological, and economic abuse of women (p.369-370). Domestic violence is a serious social issue that happens to many women in our world today. This type of abuse is not declining but continually rising on a daily basis. There have been issues in the past with the way these cases were being handled. Today, there has been some improvement concerning the laws that have been enforced in order to protect women from this type of abuse. There has been extensive research done on this issue in the past concerning domestic violence. Over the last ten years there have been a number of surveys on domestic violence that have been published from around the world.
1) After several workouts, I noticed a big in improvement in my cardiovascular capacity. I was able to do more laps within the 30 minutes. I also noticed that my body adapted to water to the fact that I had to swim more often, therefore I was less tired at the end of my workouts compared to the first time I did the workout. Additionally, I improved my swimming skills because it had been a while I did not swim, so I had to practice some movements and it helped me a lot to complete my laps faster.
In community nursing, nurses function in much the same way as they would with one client when promoting health and preventing disease, except they must think on a larger scale. Nurses can have a more immediate interaction and feedback with one client in a health care setting. In a community setting, there needs to be additional time for planning and evaluation before the community can utilize the feedback.
Choosing an evaluation depends, to a great extent, on the program being presented to stakeholders, clients or other individuals; the program must encompass different aspects that would directly affect the plan’s efficiency, effectiveness, cost and overall purpose.
Two important and well thought of forms of criticisms can come along with the battered woman syndrome, one form is that women are categorized by others as being sensitive, powerless and submissive when she is living with a batterer. Another form is that sometimes there are deficiencies with the appropriate hypothetical and background information which make it difficult to use in court (2009, pg. 178). There have been times whereas lawyers and judges have misconstrued the use of the battered woman syndrome and the fact that women claim that they were only defending themselves. These lawyers and judges thinks that the battered woman defense is used by experts only to clarify why the action of women as a battered woman. When battered women claim self-defense after killing their batterers’ some lawyers takes on the role of partiality which produces inadequately defense for women. Denial by society is another problem that women face as a battered woman or using the battered woman defense. Sometimes the reaction of a lawyer and judge shows up in disbelief and awkwardness when they find out the defendant is alleging the battered woman syndrome to help with her defense. (Dowd 1991, pgs. 11-12).
Many women around the world experience violence on a daily from their significant other. These women become trapped in an abusive relationship and struggle to find there way out. Domestic violence against

A United Nations report called “The Economic Costs of Violence Against Women: An Evaluation of the Literature” explores the economic impact on societies. The cost of domestic violence includes direct costs such as medical services, law enforcement, legal expenses, incarceration costs, mental health services, therapy, education and lost property. Social services, government programs and welfare add additional financial burden to the problem. Businesses experience a loss of productivity when people are absent due to injury, incarceration or court (United Nations 6).
2) In general, what are the different types of program evaluation available to a manager?
b) Preparation. Few programs cover an evaluation phase as part of the initial planning process and more programs lack measurable goals and moto.
Violence against women works to disregard women as viable members of society. Violent acts continue to marginalize women and pigeonholed them to less than desirable life circumstances that can negatively impact their health. Women seeking homelessness are less likely to frequent trips to hospitals and doctors when their concerned with the financial and physical security of their families (Silver, Pañares). Furthermore, violence in the lives of these women serves as a barrier to employment. There are social consequences with domestic violence, such as job loss, loss of job productivity, and social isolation that reinforce the pattern of violence (Silver, Pañares).
I also believe the assessment step is one of the most important components of program planning. The assessment process consists of several steps that may influence the overall results of the program. Throughout this component the program theory, goals, and objectives are developed (Issel & Wells, 2014). The evaluation component of the program planning process may also be considered one of the most important components of program planning; because it allows program planners to gather data that may be useful to revise the program or be referenced for future programs (Issel & Wells, 2014). Overall, these components may be the most influential on the final results of a program.
Domestic violence for women can be very damaging for them. Usually the man is physically stronger than she is so she can’t effectively defend herself. Now not all domestic abuse is physical. A good majority is mental and emotional. Most men who abuse women like to establish power and they do that by constantly degrading women and keeping tabs on her. Most women will just accept this and
