The car ride over was one of the longest I have ever been in, answering questions and looking out of the window of the beat up red Honda truck. "How long has this been going on?" he asked "Since my mother died when I was five" I replied my voice thick with anxiety. We pulled into the drive way and he walked me to the door, sticking as lose to me as he could get. As we walked through the door and into the cramped living room I froze. Fear radiating off of me like heat from the sun, I tiptoed to my room Max following suit, careful not to wake up the sleeping giant. I should have known he would have ditched work that day. I ran in, packed up my things and we ran out. We peeled out of the driveway so fast my dad wouldn't have had the time to register
Usually as a sophomore in high school we experience one of the most exciting things, driving. The minute one turns fifteen and a half we race to the DMV, take the test, and get our temporary licence. This is where we spend the next half a year in a car with our parents, practicing and being told everything to do and not to do.
Say I was old enough, I want my mom and step dad to buy me a brand new car. In fact, One of the main obvious reasons my mom should get me a new car is… It’ll save money in the long run to not have to fix it all the time, when it breaks down. It will probably also last longer, unless I total it but I’ll be a safe driver. I promise. For example, If I have a brand new car I will fit in with all of the other kids. I can drive all my friends around in my super cool car. Y’all would be the absolute best. It would be super great to drive around in. Another example, You know how you’re always complaining about drive me around? Well complain no more, I could drive myself. I would be able to get places without your help. I wouldn’t need you too. Have you ever been hit by a car ? i know i have the first time i ever got hit by a car was about when i was 7 years old . I had been at my grandmas house for a visit we were there for a weekend i was bored so i called my friends and told them to see me at our secret hide out so we could ride our bikes and have fun. then we started to get bored again so we went back inside and watch scary movies. then it was getting late we left and i went on the street and rode my bike and i was turning a corner when BOOOOOOOOOM! i got hit by a truck .the truck hit my bike on the edge of my tire and i flip over and hit the floor. the thing was that my parents did not know i had taken my bike so they thought i was in side.
I got my dog almost one year ago. We got him on november second 2014. Me and my sister had begged our parents to get us a dog but they kept saying no. THe day that we ended up getting him my parents just said that we were going camping. They said we were going camping in a cabin a few miles from Bend Oregon.
It's Friday, March 25 in the morning at about 7:00 am when my mom wakes all of us up to get ready to leave. On the way to Minnesota we were driving, but still in suamico, we stopped at a Kwik Trip gas station to fill up the tank. We all were thirsty so we got a water from the cooler in the back of the truck, but my brother Roy spilled his all over himself and on the seats.”Good thing it's just water.” My mom said. As we drove across the imaginary line splitting Wisconsin with Minnesota there was a big rock carved into the shape of Minnesota that said, “Welcome To Minnesota.” When we were on the highway we almost got into two major accidents, the first one was when we had an open lane ahead the driver to the right of us tried coming into our lane right next to us and put our left two tires
“Were that the cars that rushed into the smoke? Did they got lost while driving? How they caught fire so fast? Did everyone survive?” I thought at that moment. Tried to find the answer but too afraid to ask them.
On October 31, 2017, my mom expected me to be home by 12:00am. I was driving at night and noticed that I was only forty-five minutes away. I thought about taking a shortcut through the woods. The roads appeared to be working after being reconstructed. The only thing that caught my attention was a sign. I looked at the sign and noticed that I had to be careful of how I drive. I normally drive 60 mph on highways. Sometimes, I go faster than that. I took exit 240 to get home. Ten minutes later, another sign appeared. On this sign, it mentions construction ahead. Since the road was fine, I thought it would not matter. I drove straight down the road without being nervous. I suddenly had a phone call from my mother. She asked, “Where are you?” I told her that I was only ten minutes away.
You may have asked why I started with that saying but just imagine an elephant sitting on you it would probably be heavy right? Well that’s how felt on cold morning knowing what I had to do and if I don’t do it right the first time five more elephants would have been sitting on me.
In my heart, I knew it couldn’t be true, but they all said she was dead. I was at her funeral and everyone told me to move on, but I couldn’t. It didn’t feel right.
In life we go through many changes and for that instance it is the same situation with my car. During the 1 year that I had my car many things stayed the same, however some changes have been made. Some of the changes were major and some were minor. I take a really good care of my car and throughout my experience with my car I think it looks really good. I have spent a lot of money on it but it was worth it. This is my project car so there is a lot of progress already done to the way I want it to look and perform, but still far away from being fully done.
Tires squealing, smoke streaming across the ground, and motors revving against the silent night. Two incomparable cars lined up against each other along a desolate stretch of roadway. The scent of burning rubber singed the night air, while the glare of the headlights lit the path that would soon become a motor warzone. I was sitting at the wheel of my car with my head sticking out of the window, gazing at the stars, and cringing my face at the rotten stench of my opponent's car. My adversary shouted at me, asking if I am ready to start this race or if I was afraid of losing to him. A silent smirk spread across my face, and forcing back laughter at his comment, I raised my thumb up in the air. I got back in my seat, and buckled my seatbelt, because if I was going to risk my life, I might as well be safe about it. I revved up
As I was on my way to work today, the car in front of me, suddenly made a stop for no reason. I was on the left lane, and there was truck on the right lane so I couldn’t switch lanes. Instead, I made a sharp turn on to the opposite lane, there wasn’t any cars. That was the dumbest thing that I had ever done, as driving on the opposite lane a car was driving real fast my direction. I stepped on the gas pedal so I could speed up and get back on my regular lane, but the driver that had suddenly stopped decided to step on the gas too. So, as I’m speeding up trying to switch lanes this guy isn’t letting me and the guy that’s heading my way is real close to colliding with me. At this point I’m scared, now I have two choices either I risk it speed
When I was Driving my four wheeler. I was driving the rocky road that leads to my barn, and I wasn't paying attention. I could feel that something bad was going to happen. Like I predicted the four Wheeler's right wheel stick was old and it snapped in half. It broke and turned right. It threw me off, and after that, that's when things start to get bad.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. In high school I moved out of city limits to discover that there was no bus stops near by and found myself needing a car as soon as possible to get to school. All I had was 500 dollars and about a week until the semester started. I should’ve felt apprehensive about only having 500 for a car but thoughts of being self-reliant and unchained blinded me to the reality of the quality of vehicle I’d be purchasing. After only a few days of searching we found something in that price range; a 1994 Ford Escort hatchback with 190 thousand miles. The man that sold it to us had to tow it to the house with his truck because it had been sitting in the driveway so long the battery drained and had a few other maintenance issues to take care of. So when I saw the car for
“What is it, Bree,” Pairs asked me as she just finished bucking in her seatbelt.
