My week was going great, Thanksgiving was only a few days away. I planned to go to the grocery store later this evening. I didn't think twice about going to the store at night since Trevor was locked away. I could finally let my hair down and enjoy myself. I was happy as a pig in cool mud. I had a chance to talk to Mark this morning while Shay went out and got us some breakfast. Now Johaly and I were on the way to do some furniture shopping. Most of the stores were having Black Friday sales earlier this year for some reason. We entered the store moments ago and split up because of our different taste in furniture. She likes contemporary, and I love the anything that's a solid color and comfy. I'd just sat on a fancy blue leather sofa when …show more content…
Just go home. Go home now.” “Okay. Okay. I'm about ten minutes from home. I'm on the way there now. Have you talked to Lester?” “No. I tried to call him, but I didn't get an answer.” “Where are you? I'm on my way to the house too.” “Okay. If you get there before I do call me back. I'll do the same thing.” “Okay.” After she had hung up, I tried to call Lester again, but I still didn't get an answer. I prayed for Imani and hoped that she didn't lose to much blood. It seemed like every red light in town caught us. I was panicking, and at one point I wanted to get out of the car and try to run to my mother's house. I begged for the light to turn green so we could go but as soon as it did an ambulance shot through from the opposite direction with the lights flashing. “Do you think that ambulance is going to my mom's house?” I asked Johaly as we both watched the speeding vehicle. “Yeah. There's a good chance that it could be.” I took a deep breath and my cell phone started ringing. I looked down at the screen to see Shay's name pop up. I answered the call and let her have it. “What in the hell did you tell Imani?” “What?” “You heard me, Shay. What did you tell my sister? She attempted to give herself an
Thanksgiving Memoir I was waiting in the car my mom was driving. I saw my brother sleeping so I could not play with him so I went back to sleep. My mom was calling” Ben Ben Ben!” I woke up, I was very drowsy It was time to get out of the car. My mom and dad were still waiting for my brother to get out of the car so I just waited. For 5 minutes I stood waiting for my brother to wake up.When my brother finally woke up feeling sleepy we headed to the front door and stepped over the threshold to see my relatives.
I had been taking food from the pantry upstairs because I felt like they weren't evenly dispersed and that I wasn't really getting my fair share so I was eating at the wrong times which was not the right thing to do because I thought that if I threw the wrappers in the garbage I would get in trouble so I hid the. This was not the right thing to do because it is first of all not ck=lenly and second of all it makes the house mess. this just gets me in more trouble because not only am I leaving them there I am not confessing right away when I find them. this will change because will no longer eat upstairs, therefore, I would have no need to hid the wrappers anywhere, also, I have figured out that I will t get I trouble if I eat them I just get
Working at a grocery store, there are always many different sounds going on; at times, there are a lot of things going on with not only the people around me that I work with, but with many customers as well.
A forced smile came across Jake’s lips as he replied, “Yeah, I got lost after paying that traffic ticket and ended up here. I hope I didn’t startle the lady too bad. I was just trying to find the bathroom.”
It was an average weeknight, my brothers and I goofing around, my mom sewing, and my dad was out getting groceries. All of a sudden my dog Rascal started spazzing on the ground and breathing really heavy. It was very confusing at first because he was fine and then he wasn’t. We put a blanket under him and relaxed with him. When my dad came home he said stuff in my private with my mom and they came back in and said it was time for bed. So we all went to bed hoping he was going to be okay.
In 1621, the pilgrims celebrated the First Thanksgiving. Pilgrims did not know then, that four hundred years later Thanksgiving would still be celebrated throughout the United States of America. Each American family celebrates Thanksgiving differently, whether they eat turkey or ham, whether they sit down at 2 o’clock or 5, or whether or not they are watching football. No matter what their tradition, each family remembers what they are thankful for. Just like the average american family on thanksgiving my family joins together to remember what we are thankful for. Not only do I come together with family, but my thanksgiving begins with the “Turkey Trot” and ends with Black Friday shopping.
It was the time of year that you knew that you were gonna have to see the cousins that no one liked. 2007 was the year. Thanksgiving in my family is the definition of chaos. My Dad’s parents don’t like my Mom’s parents. I don’t like my cousins on my Dad’s side, John and Mason, they always pick on me. I have an extra toe on my right foot and sure do remind me. We always come together at my Grandparents house in Durham. It usually starts off pretty calm because my Mom, Dad and sister usually spend the night before Thanksgiving in Durham. We always get up and make biscuits, sausage, cinnamon buns and my personal favorite chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. I make the pancakes for myself because when Grandma does it they always get burnt to a crisp.
Walking through the grocery store and I hear an awful cry. Walking to the next aisle and I see a little girl screaming, kicking, and rolling all over the floor. She’s yelling, “Cake, cake!” Her mom yelled, “No!” and little Susie keeps screaming. Her mom had had enough, so she gives in to little Susie. I was just like little Susie; I would do whatever needed to be done to get my way. My brother Jared would soon find this out the hard way.
“Good, I’ll call you when I get home and give you his office number. You can call to set up an appointment. If you like, I will call him myself and give you a referral. He is a busy man, but knowing me personally might get you in sooner.”
For the past few Thanksgivings Sam and Dean had kept it simple. Y’know, kick their feet up and enjoy a few beers, reminiscent of old friends. If Dean was lucky Sam would even go and buy a pie. He liked it that way. Sure it was simple and low key but he liked simple.
Hey all! I hope all you Canadians had an amazing Thanksgiving this past weekend. It’s one of my favourite holidays. I love getting together with family and friends, drinking a mug of apple cider, with the smell of fall in the air. There’s nothing like it. Now Halloween is only a few weeks away and I wanted a cute mug to drink my favourite spiced apple tea out of that was apropos for the holiday. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any that piqued my fancy… so I decided to make one!
Yesterday I put away food that the staff had got cater from a drug rep. Then I cleaned the mess that was left on the counters. I also washed and clean the area. Also today I put away food that was leftover from yesterday. Then I cleaned and washed the table.
“Can we go to the batting cages later. I need to work on my swing?” I asked
"Oh, okay, well I am going to call up there now and book you now." He wrote back.
So first off let me start off by telling you the basics: who, what, when, where and
