Personal Narrative: Grace Highland Tylutki

On the night of December 19th, 2003, a baby is born. Her mom’s a social worker, her dad’s a nephrologist, and she has one older sister. Her name is Sophia Galoustian, although later she will wish to be called Sophie. After two years of living in Maine, the family moves to California, where Sophie will grow up.I am Sophia Galoustian, and this is part of who I am.

It wasn’t like any other swim practice, no, not like any other I’d ever gone to. No one usually moved to Minot, North Dakota that was also in swimming, so when Emily Pitcher and her family moved to town and came to practice, it was quite a shock for everyone on the team. She moved from Colorado and she had 2 younger brothers and a younger sister as well. They seemed nice enough but there was something about Emily, who was my age, which seemed a bit off.

Waking up and realizing that today was the day, my body got packed with nerves, still wondering how my mom even got me on the show and why they wanted me. While I was putting on my clothes, I was trying to look professional, but looking back I would have chosen something different. I was wearing some boot cut jeans, a shirt with a purple cross that had a shawl connected to it, some ugly sneakers, and my hair was straightened. It was dark and chilly December morning, and myself and my parents took the 30 minute drive to the TV station. I had a son, his name was Zack Carter and he was murdered last night by a pig. A white man who was just trigger happy and felt justified by what he had done because he was a police officer. Just a racist man who shot my son because he thought my son was like any other black person probably selling drugs or something. I did make a domestic violence call because we had gotten into a very heated argument and he slapped me and stormed out, but that was my fault, because I had hit him first. We had been arguing about his grades and how they were starting to slip even though he had been a 4.0 student

Johnna Brown. The lovely mother of two, and the amazing wife any man would dream of, the best pet spoiler there is, and the perfect friend. That right there can say so much about someone without even knowing who they are. Johnna, my mother, is such a talented person. Along with this, she is also a mentor and therapist. Who am I? I am Liliana Walker. I am a tactile learner. I am a three on the 4MAT scale. On color tests, I am red. I am a leader. This is who I am. I am a tactile learner because I learn by movement. It is commonly known for tactile learners to not be able to sit still for long periods of time, and have typically good, if not great athletic skills. I love to work with my hands, to take things apart and put them back together, no matter the object. Within the multiple color tests I have taken in the past, my results read that I am red. Although I prefer to work alone on most if not all projects, if I get the chance to lead others or to help them, I will jump at the chance. When people hear the word bay they think of the body of water. I think of my cousin. Rebecca Bay. Her tan skin. Her dark skin. All the skids on her knees. When we were nine she started to teach me to skateboard. When we were eleven she started to surf. She acts like her feet are never supposed to touch the ground, just hover close to it.

My name is Rebecca Cooper I was born on June 17 1998 in San Diego California in a hospital called ciser perminente childeren’s hospital. I lived there until I was 7 then I moved to little old Corvallis Monana where I currently live. I started public school in 3 grade but due to the fact I can’t read I was put back a grade. Everyone defines high school as the base of your career, were magnificent teachers providing knowledge to help you exceed in life. But tell me how are we supposed to exceed while having teachers who does not provide enough information for my understanding? My senior year of high school I was placed in a math class with an instructor who goes under the name if Mrs. Power, but rather known as Mrs. Pointless. "Ok class everyone quiet!” are the exact words Mrs. Powers would say before starting class. She made class dull and pointless. By far she is the worst teacher I have had. She had little knowledge of what she was teaching in class, had out dated policies and lastly was extremely rude.

It was the year 1889 and I wanted a baby so desperately. You see a vampire like me is less likely to get pregnant than a steer. I was on the hunt for somebody’s baby to take. I had just relocated to the town Minneapolis when I heard a young girl not even the age of fifteen with two heart beats. I had found my next victim.

Getting Briana Grace Home In December of 2000 my husband and I were given a picture of a little girl who was in a baby house in Kazakhstan. We knew in a moment that she was our daughter. After some time in prayer we knew that this was the child we had asked God to give us. We started right away with all the paper work and then came the costs. I have to admit we were unprepared for the cost of an overseas adoption, but we put our trust in God and set to work. We worked overtime when we could. We had yard sales, held drawings and I even put out a donation jar at Hanford Christian Supply where I was the manager. We also learned to live on a very tight budget. It took us seven months but we had raised all the money we needed for the fees and travel.
